Although this “Resort” may be considered somewhat small in comparison to the images one may conjure when dreaming about a sprawling resort vacation, it is not lacking in its well manicured appearance or available amenities whatsoever. The lodging units (condominiums) are arranged in a four story horseshoe shape with access to the upper levels by elevator or stairs. The grounds and outdoor amenities are maintained to the highest standards and provide a very nice visual impression of the complex overall. The extras cover the “waterfront” and include among other conveniences; beach access, gated entrances, two large pools (one heated), exercise room, tennis courts, large koi and turtle pond with lighted fountain, fire pit, outdoor grills, luggage and grocery carts located at first floor elevators and in-garage parking for one vehicie, plus additional out door parking, if needed.

My wife and I stayed in B-220 which is a one bedroom, two bath, two bunk bed unit that had a open kitchen/living area layout. Upon entry we noticed that the condo was very well maintained, in excellent condition and fully equipped. The unit was exceptionally clean, tidy, pleasantly decorated and exuded a feeling of homeyness and comfort right from the start. Our feelings and enjoyment of this unit did not did not change during our two week stay. To the contrary, we had originally booked a week, but extended our stay an additional week because we were very, very pleased with our accommodations and the complex overall. No late night noise or parties, crowded pools, knocking on the walls or any other distractions or annoyances. We met several condo owners and other rental guest during our stay. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and personable. The complex is in a great location and is near many, many restaurants, shopping complexes, nationally know retailers, grocery and drug stores.

Simply stated, Amalfi Coast Resort and B-220 is the complete package. We found this winning combination to be a “Home Away from Home!” Highly Recommended for a Five Star Stay!

Our family of 4 adults and 2 children loved staying at the Amalfi Coast Resort. We had a 2 bdrm, 2 bathroom, with bunk beds in the hallway for the kids -perfect size for us. The view from our balcony was divine-we could see the ocean and the 2 pools we used daily. The weather was perfect, a little windy but not enough to keep us indoors. The beach is a short walk down some stairs to white sand. We usually went in the morning and afternoon to the beach since it was so close. We loved out condo and hope to return again same time next year. This property has 4 floors-we were on the 3rd floor (elevator & dollies to bring luggage to condo). Higher level gave us a great view & it wasn't noisy.

We stayed in 325D. It was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the porch that overlooked the pools and we could also see the ocean. Nice and big. HDMI cable
to hook to your computer to watch TV. Laundry, beach chairs and umbrella. Easy walk to the beach. We rented bikes and there is a bike rack in the garage. Parking spot for our car! Really enjoyed all the amenities, the pools, the easy walk to the beach, the spray stations to clean off sand before going up to condo. Really nice place!

booked through glass casa vacation rental-NOT GOOD, day of check in got message, if we didn't sign waiver we wouldn't get code, we had already signed this waiver, said we would be in by 4 and was well after, dirty, sand all over condo, dishes left in dishwasher, towels and washcloths left in washer, had to call multiple times to get toilet fixed and still not fixed, called about sink stopper which was also broken and never addressed, no hot water after one shower, shower wouldn't drain, , mattress horrible, lights in bedroom wouldn't work, trash can lid wouldn't work, found a dead bug and 2 live bugs, found a half drank water bottle in cushions of chair, front door and sliding door would not shut well and cracks at bottom allowing air in. Called multiple times to try to discuss w/glass casa, initially talked to someone and when called for mgt, no return calls. Very disappointed. We travel to destin all the time and this was by far the WORST stay.

Owner is great to work with. Condo is clean, well furnished, and nicely decorated. Firepit area is relaxing. Pools are clean and it is a very short walk to the beach across the street. We will return soon!

We had two wonderful weeks at the Amalfi Coast Resort. Our unit was on the fourth floor and although across the street from the Gulf, from our large deck we could view the resort pools, the well groomed grounds and the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The weather was perfect and our unit was very spacious, clean, well furnished with everything to make us feel at home. We went to the "Gulfarium", shopping, "Seaside" and enjoyed the "Mullet Festival" in Niceville. We took a sunset cruise (during which we saw several wild dolphin) and dined at many excellent restaurants and took walks along the white beach. I will have to say that in our timeshare travels since 1985 this was our best trip and it was due to the Amalfi Coast Resort being our "home".

The Almalfi Resort at Destin was a delight to stay at! Snuggled on the Gulf Coast and facing south, the view from our room was sooooo relaxing. We (my wife and I) have traveled both coasts and the Carribbean but have never encountered such beautiful beaches. The soft white snowy sand was like no other. The colors of the gulf water, because of reflections from the white sand, appeared a crystalized light blue. The grounds of the Almalfi must have been landscaped by an Italian artist. Spattered with palm trees and other southern plants and with golf course grass, the two pools were so inviting. To our surprise, one of the pools was heated to 85 degrees for our winter enjoyment. Our accomodations were as delightful (and roomy) as the resort itself. A return visit is definately on our agenda.

When we arrived, we were very impressed by the resort and its location. However, early one morning, my wife woke up with a small bug crawling through her hair. We thought it flew in so we didn't think much about it. The next day we were watching TV on the sleeper sofa and we noticed a small bug crawling along the back cushion. We googled bedbugs and the images matched the bug on the cushion. We removed the cushions and the bedding in the master bedroom and found dozens of bedbugs. We informed Global Connections Inc about the situation and we are into the second day trying to figure out how to resolve this problem. Also, we are still waiting for Almafi Coast Resort to send out a property manager to exterminate the unit. Our fun on this vacation has ended.

We stayed in unit A212 and it was disgusting. Very dirty walls, Bed was very old and uncomfortable. More stains on bed spread and curtains leading to balcony. Bedroom nitestand had what looked like throw up all over the front of it. The walls and kitchen cabinets were filthy. Lite fixtures had thick dust on them. We had to buy bedding. The toilets wobbled when you sat down and then one toilet and shower kept backing up so we couldn't use them. The furniture was from the 80's and the couches had deep hole in the middle and was also filthy. The unit was spacious and the resort itself is nice but definitely check out what unit you stay in. I had the Willies all week and couldn't sleep without itching. The owners should be ashamed. We complained with no resolution. The inside of all the drawers were even dirty! Slum city!

We forgot all our hang clothes in the closet upon departure. Within four hours we remembered and notified management at the resort. Someone with access to the room, picked through our clothes and then sent only my wife's maternity clothes back to us. Items lost consisted of approximately $500 worth of golf shirts and shorts. I would not recommend this place or the company which runs it to anyone.
