Detailed Reviews
Let’s start with the positive.....Is very cozy for a small family. Great space very convenient to everything. The beach is also easy to get to and super close. The kitchen is equipped with everything u need even a keruig. NOW.....this place was advertised as resort style. I would not advertise that. This is a 3 star hotel/condo at. The surfaces were clean but cabinets and furniture had spills on the facings. Bleach smell when we walked it. Lots of furnishings and decor was rusted. Things that i feel are very easily changed out like mirrors and refrigerator shelving. Plus the door in the fridge was duck taped together. Then i accidentally dropped my charger behind the night stand plugging it in. It fell into a puddle of something that has trapped anything else that has fallen behind there for who know how long. I then looked under the bed and dressers. It looks as if no one has moved or cleaned under them in awhile. I wish i hadn’t looked. I didn’t walk on the floor barefoot again.

Ok so we are cheap. Wanted to stay at the Pelican Beach Resort but $289 or anywhere on the beach but couldn't afford it. So we opted for something cheaper and we got that. I would stay here again. The unit we had was a 1 bedroom but slept 6 and 8 stayed here and it worked well for us. Nothing fancy at all and not on the beach but it was a short walk across the street from the condo. Unit we had was small/cramped space but like I said..we had a routine and it was about the kids going to the beach and pool. I think Destin has the best beaches in AMERICA...white sandy beaches, greenish then to blue water never seen such a thing anywhere else..not even Hawaii.

The Pros:
1)Good location across street from beach.
2)Several beach restaurants within walking distance including Pompano Joes, Captain Dave's, Kenny D's and The Crab Trap.
3)Some units have partial gulf views.
4)units are individually owned so quality varies.
5) good value for the price.
Cons)
1) All units seem to have same layout with a very small bedroom that barely fits a queen bed and dresser.
2) 1 bath...we had a family of 5 with 2 teenagers so we had issues with that.
3) we did not have enough storage space...the 1 closet is in the bedroom and had a hamper, vacuum, extra linens etc. in it so we could only use the closet rack. No floor space for suitcases so they were lining the hallway.
Unit 306 in particular:
Top floor, so no noise above you.
2 washers right by unit but they weren't in use very often
Furniture was very flimsy. Bed creaked every time you turned over. Mattress was ok but pillows were not.
Well stocked, updated kitchen with SS appliances and granite. Nice tile.
Condo could use a luggage rack, hooks on balcony for wet towels like I saw on other units, coat rack hooks in hallway for jackets, hangers in closet, row of pegs or hooks in bathroom. More towels.

We stayed at the Gulfview II in unit #203 and as far as the room itself - it was ok. Good Location right across from the beach. Could see the ocean from the balcony. Pretty roomy - there were three of us. This unit had one bedroom with a queen size bed and then 2 bunk beds in the hallway. Also had a sofa bed in the living room area. Would have been great except that when we first entered the room, there was a horrible smell! To me it smelled like mold or something - I don't know but the smell was overwhelming. I bought some Febreeze and sprayed all the furniture, linens, towels, etc. and that seemed to help a little. Once you were in the room a while it was less noticeable, but every time you entered the condo it just hit you. The walls on these condos seemed a little thin also as it was very noisy at night if people were talking outside. Overall - this was a good location to stay in Destin - kind of centrally located and easy walk to beach, but if going back I would try another condo in same area.

First of all let me say, all units in this condo are owned by different people. I understand that. Some are much nicer than others. However, the overall feeling of the condo gives off a "motel" vibe. We have been coming to Destin for 8 years now. We normally stick within the same condo complex however, we booked last this year. We booked the unit last minute through RealJoy. Unit 306. The pictures are very misleading. Everything in the condo is crooked I kid you not, trim, pictures, knobs on cabinets. It appears very "DIY". The bed had so much sand in the sheets when I pulled back the covers I had to remove the bedding and lug it across the hall to the washer/dryer room and pay $3.50 just to wash them. This was also the case for the bunk beds/additional covers. I'm not sure any of the bedding had been washed. The bathtub/shower was a disgusting yellow. We were left 4 towels for the entire week stay. I would not stay here again, especially for the price. There was a physical alternation by a very wild group of people outside of our room & the cops were called during our stay. It was not pleasant. People had music blaring from the pools into lye hours. Grounds keeper seemed creepy & was very rude. The pool was suppose to open at 9AM, we showed up at 9:30 one morning & he said we would have to give him a few hours, he was very rude about it. Seems very low class like I said before "motel-ish." We ended up leaving days early because it was uncomfortable & felt unsafe.

Where do I begin?! After booking online, the website does an awesome job at misleading travelers. The room was DISGUSTING. The couch looked to be over 30 years old and filthy, the condos themselves need a major cleaning and renovation. The overall feel from the clientele and the room quickly gave my family and I the heebie jeebies and we quickly found another condo after 30 min of arriving, SANS an apology or any of our week long payment. Stay away..don't be fooled. We are at the Edgewater condos now and they are amazing!!

Absolutely the nastiest place I've ever stayed. First, the pictures on the vrbo website were misleading. Upon arrival we instantly noticed moldy, musty smell. We bought food and the refrigerator "got behind" on cooling. The pots and pans were put in the cabinet with food stuck in the bottom. One even had a bug in it! Dish towels and oven mitts were old and stained. Floors were filthy and ceiling fan blades were covered in dirt. The tub/ shower unit had trim pieces missing and some were unattached. The shower curtain was old and rusted. The comforters were old and needed to be thrown away. The TV in the living area wasn't working and the sleeper sofa was broken. The frame was down on the floor so it was unusable. This also made the couch hard to sit on as the cushions were sunk into the frame. The AC filter was wà aay overdue to be changed. It was totally clogged. The floors had several broken and cracked tiles and were so dirty that our feet were black on bottom! This place hasn't been cleaned... REALLY cleaned in a long time. Also, the patio door wouldn't lock and there was only one chair to sit outside. The "mop" that was available to clean had a washcloth tied onto a sponge mop using curling ribbon. The two beach chairs provided were OLD, rusty lawn chairs! When I contacted the owner, he truly offered NO help in resolving the issue. He said he would contact Amanda, the cleaning lady. Needless to say, we never saw her. This place needs to be shut down by the health dept!!!! DO NOT Stay HERE....you will regret it. I have photos of everything I have written in this review. I'll be glad to post them if I need to do so!

We stayed in unit 105,ground floor easy load and unload.Only a 60 second walk to the private beach access gate.i've been coming to Miramar Bch for 25 years and there is not a better value.if you want a 5 star place, pay for one,but if you are looking for value this is it.Since we found this place 5 years ago we've been returning every year.
Each unit is owed individually so we found the one we like and stay there.

Arrived on Saturday July 5th 2014. Room 225 was not what we rented on line. Pictures on website misrepresented the actual product.
Mold spell was the first thing that greeted us.
The old saying " you can't polish a turd" applies to Room. 225. Don't be fooled, save your money.
