This is our second time to stay at Tops’l Beach Manor. We love staying on the ground floor due to the proximity to the walkway and easy beach access. Parking garage is attached so no need to worry about the weather. Sandestin is located next to this resort. You can easily rent bikes for the week and use their trails and go to Baytowne Wharf. The resort is in a less crowded area and is close to The Grand Boulevard and Silver Sands. Publix is also less than a mile from the resort gate. I highly recommend staying here.

We stayed in Captiva 33 and it was amazing! the pictures and reviews didn’t even do this justice. Checkin was super easy - they even let us leave the car at front and take tram to beach as we got in a couple of hours early. They called the next morning to see if there was anything we needed and the blankets we requested were delivered immediately. Captiva 33 was AMAZING and perfect for our large family - with a super easy 5 minute walk to beach. We had NO issues with anything and only request would be an updated basketball net, volleyball net, etc but I know these items get worn quickly. We are already talking about coming back and highly recommend Topsl in general.

Clean plenty of space loved our unit provided transportation from room to the beach which was nice or it would have been a long walk. Only negative was our cable and Wi-Fi kept messing up. Stayed in captiva 33.

The condo was not clean. Only limited areas are you allowed to enjoy the beach. The "free" tennis courts wound up costing us several hundred dollars. The management simply did not care. My advice is to stay elsewhere.

Tops’l has gone downhill since Vacasa management has taken over. Our family used to own a unit here which is why it was very apparent the lack of upkeep. Pool is dungy, trash overflowing, elevator button to go up was broken off which meant you had to hope someone came down for you to get in the elevator. Only nice thing is the access to a nice beach. If you leave anything, be prepared they charge $25 just to “look for it”. We left a pillow on the bed which clearly would be readily spotted, but it basically would be $40 to recover with shipping. Terrible money gauging management, your money is better spent elsewhere.

We returned to Tops'l after 28 years and the beach is still gorgeous, if more crowded than ever. We stayed at the Tides and the unit was in need of some maintenance which would have made the stay more comfortable. Management was notified but did not follow through. Also, the security guard was quite aggressive about parking. (My handicap sticker was not properly displayed on the last of seven days in the same spot and that earned me a sticker and an arrogant schadenfreude grin from the guard who waited for me to see the sticker.). We will return to Destin, but probably not to Tops'l.

If quiet is what you’re looking for, then don’t book at this Place. From allowing music at the pool to be heard on the 10th floor with balcony doors closed and repeated calls to vacasa resulting in nothing to dogs barking all day on the balcony to remodeling that resulted in pounding on floor and walls until 1am. Definitely not what I paid for and would NEVER return. I’m exhausted and need another vacation to recover from lack of sleep at this place. I have it a 1 because zero is not an option.

Disgusting. We told them about how dirty it was and they did NOTHING. Outdated everything. Everything was breaking or dirty. Pots was unwashed. Shower curtain was black moldy and poopy. Roaches on the wall and pool. Couch mattress was so bad it was unusable and it came with a big toe nail. Ceiling had yellow stains with holes. TV stand was a tv inside an old dresser. Beach was nice and location too. Everything else was horrible, the service included.

We chose Tides at Tops'l in hopes to find ourselves a relaxed, enjoyable, and much needed family vacation. We have stayed in Destin and Sandestin many times for family vacations. We booked this through PANHANDLE GETAWAYS and went with Tides due to it's location directly on the beach... and WE WILL NEVER COME BACK OR BOOK THROUGH PANHANDLE GETAWAYS AGAIN!! Upon our arrival, the code to our door did not work and we had to wait outside the door with all our luggage while we called and then further waited to get a proper code. Once we got in and started unpacking we began to realize nothing had been cleaned; HUGE, nasty, dark stains on the comforters, no sheets on any beds, no toilet paper to be found, ALL closet doors were broken and leaning to one side, crusted food on the dining & coffee tables, and the bathrooms were filled with dirt and sand. I forgot to mention that we arrived at 6pm. Check out for previous guest was 10am and check in for us was at 4pm. So they had ample time to get the cleaning done. The cleaning ladies came in late after we called and complained. They did not leave until 10:30pm. They also took the comforters from our beds so they could "wash them and bring them back"... but we never got any new or clean comforters returned. SO We slept with a sheet all week... So that evening was gone and wasted and not a great start to the week. We also were led to believe the kitchen was a "full kitchen".... I guess a full kitchen to Tides means no paper goods, no baking wear, no cleaning supplies, broken toaster, broken disposal, and burnt coffee maker. The internet also SUCKS. It is very slow. We were able to connect to wi-fi successfully maybe 2x after several calls to IT. The decor was old, outdated, and dusty. With all this said they helped us in no way after many phone calls. We also asked if we could have a refund for a night or even just a late check out. They said they could help in no way and that the police would be called to remove all our items if we were not out by 10am. SO we leave VERY DISAPPOINTED with this place and will never come back or recommend it to ANY ONE else. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!!!!!
