Detailed Reviews
We've stayed here for a few years now and for the most part have enjoyed it. During the winter it an be quite cool, windy and rainy. But you can also get some glorious days and we've had both. if you're a golfer you get a discount on golf up to the end of Feb - don't know why they are so cheap about it as there are plenty of snow birds that stay to the middle of March. As a result there are a lot fewer golfers after the end of Feb - i think they lose more money than the make by cutting the discount off so early. Otherwise the units are all individually
appointed - some really good, others use the cheapest stuff going. it's just the luck of the draw what you get. But you can view on line your unit before you commit. It's really a snowbirds location for the most part during the winter and can be very social. We'll probably be back.

We stayed at Ariel Dunes 1 in June. It was amazing! Contactless check-in. Upon entering we noticed our lodging was clean and exactly as described on VRBO.com. We had 24/7 access to the host, any questions we had they responded almost immediately. We had 5 in our group with ample space in the 3BR, 2BA resort. There were beach chairs for a family of 4 with 2 boogie boards, a stackable washer and dryer in our place. 4 visible pools, a beach tram was available on the premise. We are so close to the beach! See the pictures. There are two entrances and exits with guards at each. The facility was clean and landscape well maintained. We have not experienced any issues except we overheard on two occasions one of the elevators got stuck with people inside. The grocery store, Winn-Dixie is 1.6 miles away, Publix grocery store 2.5 miles away and a Walmart less than 5 miles away. So many choices of cuisine within 3 miles. Free wi-fi, kitchen supplies, refrigerator, stove, plates, and eating utensils. As you can see in the pictures we are less 2 minutes walking to the beach. The water is clear to the bottom which is why it is nicknamed the Emerald Coast. We definitely plan to return next year.

I will not stay here again. The view is good and had a short walk to the beach, but the water would stop working almost every day for anywhere from 30 min to 3 hours. The elevators are right around the corner from the trash points and smelled like garbage every time. Parking is horrible. Glad I rented a unit as I would not buy one in this building with the knowledge.

We chose to stay at Ariel Dunes II for our very first trip to Destin, FL. We arrived at 2 am to find our room was filled with patio furniture. We called the next morning to see if we could have it removed. We couldn't even walk through the livingroom area. We had to climb over the patio furniture. The lady my husband spoke to was unbothered by the whole situation. She said someone should have contacted us to let us know about the balcony not being functional during our stay. She said they had nowhere to store the patio furniture. My husband asked if we could possibly move to another room. She said she'd check and call us back and just hung up. She never called back. After waiting a while, my husband called her back and she said there were no other rooms available. He asked if we could just get a refund. She said she would speak to the manager and call us back and just hung up..again. She did call back a few mins later and said they found somewhere to put it and they would send the maintenance man to get it. We eventually left for the day, and when we arrived back at the condo the furniture was gone. I guess the craziest thing about the whole situation is that we never even received an apology. No one said they were sorry for the inconvenience. Nothing! The lady seemed very aggravated that we even called about it. I just find it unbelievable that an elderly or disabled person was expected to maneuver around all of that furniture. Very dangerous! Ariel Dunes is a nice place and we enjoyed the rest of our vacation, but it definitely got off to a rocky start. We spent half the day of our very first day there dealing with this issue. We have just never experienced anything like it. We will visit Destin again, but unfortunately, due to bad management and customer service at Ariel Dunes, we will choose another property.

2306 Ariel Dunes while blessed with an amazing view the condo has been sorely neglected. The cookware is falling apart, no sheet pans, bottom cabinets were dirty. The stove is not level so I would have to hold the fry pan at an angle to cook bacon. The couch is threadbare and uncomfortable, mattress bows to the middle, no closet and no panty. Made several requests for functioning kitchen equipment and we were ignored. Seascape property is a great place but this condo was very bad. The reviews were obviously made up.

We should have know when we arrived at 4:30 and the cleaning lady was still in the condo with her 4 kids sitting on the couch that this was a sign of things to come. The unit was filthy the bathroom had black mold the furniture was in horrible condition, plus the roaches. Nothing in this unit was clean! Would not recommend!

Family vacation with 4 teenagers. Very safe and nice view of Gulf. Short walk to the beach and plenty to do. I recommend renting a golf cart if staying for a week. Our particular unit 1004 could use a renovation but otherwise a very good experience.

Excellent property and units! Love the numerous pools, lakes, ponds, and beach access. Shuttle, bikes, chairs, carts...they have it all. Of course the games too - basketball, golf, tennis, pickle ball, swimming, etc. I'd suggest the Ariel Dunes towers at or above the 3rd level for best sound and view management. Really impressive area and location overall!

I am not a fan of Destin Florida itself. But the Hotel/resort was extremely nice. Beach was a good 200 yards from the Hotel. But they do offer shuttles if you want to wait. Small beach area, but adequate even on a Holiday Weekend.
Reservations were a bit complex and aggravating. Pools were good size and well patrolled.
Our group met and were HIGHLY impressed by their security staff. ( Teresa and Brittany?) were extremely pleasant and inviting. If we stayed there again it would be mostly due to the two of them and the in house Cabana Cafe making us fell welcomed !!!

We rented this as a family 8.1.22---8.6.22. The carpet was dirty and the furniture was dated. When my brother called about this they told him they would be there the next day to review the room. No one showed. It was all day long waiting on someone to call or come by and no one showed. This was the poorest service ever. You take someone's money and then act like "Oh well, just live with it." I will not rent a condo ever again that has carpet. This is a awful and disgusting.

yes, there are 3 pools that are heated
10 minute walk, across parking lot and the across the road.
There is no reason to add your children as long as you do not exceed the Maximum occupancy for the unit. Pool bands are provided within the unit and the number is always equal to max occupancy of the unit.
Yes, this is both Ariel Dunes 1 and 2. Ariel Dunes 1 was built approximately 2 years before the second tower. They stand side by side and share all amenities.
