Stayed for the 1 night with my family and dog, very friendly staff who cant do enough for you. Rooms are clean and nice, would recommend this highly. Lovely walk around the Reservoir. Food was also great.

The most straightforward way is a taxi but not sure of the cost but would guess at least £10. Alternatively a cab back to Whaley Bridge and then the train but a bit of messing around that option.
