Three generations stayed for 2 nights. We were made to feel at home straight away. Kind and caring staff, especially to my father who needed first aid attention. The aboretum and setting of the hotel is it's best asset. Our 3 rooms were all different- the upper one required able bodied guests as no lifts to top floor- however the...

Local to where I live, therefore go here a lot for special occasions. This particular booking was a gift to my brother for his 50th. The grounds are stunning, hotel room great, evening meal and breakfast to die for and the staff are really friendly and helpful.

Stayed here on Saturday 22nd April as we was going into London - the hotel staff are very accommodating - the rooms very pretty and spacious - the shower could have been more powerful though - the breakfast was amazing - we got a UBER home from Leceister square for only £27.00 so this is a great location with night...

Thank you for your super review of West Lodge Park, I am so glad you had a good stay with us, and thank you for the advice about an UBER taxi being £27 from Leicester Sq, a civilised way to return to the hotel, especially if several of you are sharing the cost ! Do come again, Kindest regards, Andrew...

The whole place, inside and out is kept to a very high standard and is a pleasure to experience. We had one of the "smaller doubles" which was perfectly adequate in size and the facilities were very good. We booked room only and chose to have breakfast at the hotel: while this is priced at £17, quite expensive, it was...

Thank you for your kind review of West Lodge Park, I am pleased that you enjoyed your visit to the hotel so much, The smaller double rooms include 54 (a terrific brand new room), 42 (with great views across the Enfield Chase) and 71 (a wonderfully cosy cottage room) - all are fully specified, and are among my favourite rooms...

The hotel is truly family run with care and professionalism. The grounds contain an arboretum which is amazing and maintained with the same love and care. The restaurant is very good and the bar staff attentive and professional. A true gem and so close to north London, still so quiet and peaceful. Would recommend highly.

A wonderful review of West Lodge Park, thank you so much ! My grandfather moved here with my father in 1945, and so we have celebrated over 70 years here, and now four generations of the Beale family have devoted every moment to looking after our staff, our guests, and this amazing place. Thank you again for your lovely review,...

We've been visiting West Lodge Park for around 10 years and have usually stayed 2 or 3 times a year, so we reckon we've notched up well in excess of 20 visits! That speaks volumes for how impressed we are, and how confident we are of having a high quality, relaxing stay each time we visit. Sometimes, as with this...

Thank you for your kind and detailed review of West Lodge Park, I am very pleased that we have continued to look after you so well, and that the hotel feels so homely to you, exactly the kind of atmosphere we strive to create all the time, but one that can be incredibly difficult to achieve. We stayed here on Thursday evening for my wife's birthday. We started with a two course lunch in the Mary Beale Restaurant, which was delicious and then checked into our room. We had specifically chosen room four after checking the various luxury rooms on the hotel's website and we were not disappointed. A lovely spacious room with a comfortable bed,...

Thank you for your review of Bedroom 4 at West Lodge Park, It was an unusual set of circumstances during your stay last week, The main TV amplifier for the hotel (which has given faithful uninterrupted service for over 15 years) blew a fuse, and in so doing tripped all the ceiling lighting (but not ring mains) in bedrooms 3,...

Despite living locally we have not managed to return here since our last stay in 2013! The attention to detail both before our arrival and during our stay was second to none. Fiz arranged a lovely room with a great view by email pre-arrival . . . .& that was despite us booking via Groupon. We had a long leisurely...

We stayed here for 1 night after hearing it was a very good hotel. The grounds are excellent and the interior is inviting and clean. The staff on reception were very helpful and friendly. Thank you for your kind review of West Lodge Park, I am pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, I am afraid ladybirds are an occupational hazard of the countryside at this time of year - they fly in, and are impossible to eradicate completely. At least they don't do any harm unlike wasps..... Do come again when you can....

We took mum for a birthday afternoon tea and they really made you feel special as soon as you stepped through the bar. Lovely cakes and scones and prosecco was amazing. All in a beautiful setting! Staff were friendly and helpful and provided a take home box when the sugar rush got too much!

West Lodge Park Hotel is a beautiful country house hotel set in 35 acres of grounds on the edge of North London. It has been owned and run by three generations of the Beale family since 1945 and now has 59 bedrooms, the Mary Beale Restaurant and Terrace Bar, 8 stunning banqueting rooms, and plentiful free parking. The hotel is located just a mile from Cockfosters Tube station where there is a large car park and frequent trains on the Piccadilly Line to all the sights of central London. Around the hotel is the magnificent Beale Arboretum, with over 800 species of trees from around the world, 2 national collections of hornbeams and swamp cypresses, and plentiful hard paths and interpretive signage. The hotel is also home to the Edward Beale collection of Old master paintings, most of which have been painted by the ancestor of the family, Mary Beale, who was Britain's first professional woman artist, painting at the time of Charles II.
