Benarat Lodge or Benarat Inn is a simple lodge in Mulu National Park. It belongs to Tropical Adventure Tours & Travel in Miri. We have recently increased the no of rooms and is in midst of adding in solar energy for each room to supplement the current power generated from generator. We have recently build a 32 feet swimming pool at our place. Come stay with us to enjoy the swimming pool. Most guests who stayed with us usually book our 3 days Njoy mulu tours, 4 days Mulu Pinnacles tour or the 5 Days Headhunter trail tour. This is back to nature at its best.

The staff's helpfulness and knowledge of the area and their punctuality were excellent. Furthermore, the staff is very friendly and has good humor. There is a 6-7 minute drive to the Mulu NP headquarters. You have free drive from the lodge to HQ.

I really enjoyed my 2 days one night here. The staff are lovely, dining area and rooms clean and tidy. Lovely grounds. Guide FiFi is knowledgeable, Anil really helpful, as were the rest of the staff but I did not remember everyone’s name. The food was super delicious and generous servings as well, the gardenia bush outside my room smelt Devine. The guests were well looked after I hope to come back in the near future fingers crossed. Thanks heaps team Benerat. Thank you to the wonderful travel agent(tropical adventure tours)in Miri who helped make this possible. Guide Charlie is also very good who guided me in Miri.

We were very impressed by the level of hospitality and communication extended by Benarat, in particular their friendly and hardworking manager (can't remember his name sorry). Highly personalised which made you feel more like a friend than a customer, unique itinerary prepared depending on how long you were staying and what you were interested in, friendly reminders in case you forget what time you have to be ready (which we did!) and flawless transfers to and from the airport and Mulu Park HQ. Our initial room was different to what we had booked and upon notifying the manager he apologised for the mix up and we were moved immediately with a smile. Great scenic property on the river with free roaming chickens and friendly resident dogs. Set menu meals were good and plentiful with as much tea and coffee as you can drink all day and a small, fairly priced bar. Dining area set up on a nice balcony overlooking the river. Our simple room was tidy and of good size, flyscreens were operational. There was barely any water pressure in our shower but no problem as a bucket was provided. Electricity only on in the evenings but of no real consequence as you are out all day exploring the rainforest. No wifi but if you must it can be accessed for a small fee nearby. For those wanting a more luxurious stay Benarat may not be for you but they really offer a great nature experience in a safe and friendly environment.

If you want to get the real jungle vibe, this is the place to go. No internet and wifi, just nature and people. Things don't run by the clock. If you can't deal with that, have a jog around your local zoo. Excellent staff, Anil and Rey (?) friendly and enthusiastic; extremely helpful guides Duncan and Desmond saved my bacon on the pinnacles descent. A solo traveller, I stayed 5 nights, and will go back again for more. Ultimately, you get out of it what you put into it.

The room and bathroom is very spacious. Free upgrade to aircond room. However, aircond is only functioning after 6pm. Make sure you stay away from the room during day time and get yourself exploring jungles and caves. Nice breakfast and excellent service. However, the lighting inside room and bathroom got to be improved. No internet line from Celcom and Digi. No wifi service. We walked from this Inn to Marriott for a cup of drink and for the wifi at night. Private transport to National Park (which is less than 5mins from this Inn) is charged at RM5 per person per trip.

I stayed at this place for 3 nights. Loved it. The food was of the best I tasted in Sarawak. Comfy beds, good functioneel bathroom. Just take into account that Mulu is a very distant place...electricity is limited and there is nog wifi at the Benarat (a slow connection for 5 Ringit a day in the park café and a good connection at the Mariott just across the river available when you go have a tea there). Friendly staff that gives you good info on what is possible and available in Mulu and books tour if you want them to. Just make sure to check twice about transportation times to and from the park...Anil has a lot to arrange and his memory is only human 😉 Recommended!

Nice bedrooms, not warm water in every room. Fantastic Service and lovely people running this inn! Our few days saw floods and they went out of their way to help us get to the park. Right opposite resort which you can also spend some time at!

We felt so looked after! Airport transfer, upgraded to an aircon room, lovely friendly, helpful staff and great food! Eddy is fantastic and really cares for his customers he tailors your tour to you. The guides are great Chris our guide was informative and friendly. Seeing Deer Cave was a highlight and watching the bats fly out at dusk he didn't rush us and we were able to stay and enjoy the whole natural wildlife show! No wifi which was a welcome break...if you are desperate Eddy will drive you round to the marriott where you can buy a drink and use the wifi. We welcomed the peace and tranquillity soaking the jungle and enjoying the cool breeze as the inn is right by the river. Fantastic service and really generous portions of food..we had a feast! Thoroughly recommended!

I stayed at the benarat inn for two nights during my stay in Mulu and absolutely loved it, this was my second time staying there. The first being five years earlier.. the place was beautiful, nothing to flash but perfect for travelers who want a more natural experience while in the jungle. Everyone who worked there were so welcoming making us feel right at home and so friendly especially considering there was ten of us and we weren't always the most quiet group whether it was loud jokes at dinner or stumbling back to our rooms late at night.. every morning you were guaranteed to be greeted with a warm smile as you were shown to your breakfast table and of course the food we were served at breakfast and dinner was outstanding.. I would defiantly reccomend this place to anyway planning on staying in Mulu!

Very nice folks. Comfortable room and good food service. Great location. The only disappointment was when the solar fan went off during the afternoon (it had been rainy so there was an insufficient charge).

Hi There, Thank you for staying with us and visiting Mulu National Park. Our electricity runs on generator and solar energy only and we apologise for the fan being off due to low power. Do visit us again in the near future and hopefully by then, we will have electricity running from power station, and not solar energy and generator, Warm Regards, Richard
