Lovely peaceful setting in a remote location. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great menu from a totally organic range of foods and beers. Everything finished to a high standard, the bunkhouse is very well fitted out with great facilities. Not sure if there is a drying room but as it is a kayaking centre I would imagine there would be... More

Called in here on our way up to Ardnamurchan. What a beautiful setting. The staff were friendly and efficient and our meal was excellent. We were there on a lovely sunny day so lots of people sat outside. The Inn seemed to be very dog & child friendly too. Will make sure we time our journey in future so as... More

My husband and I stopped here for lunch on holiday last weekend and whilst we both thought the it slightly more than we would pay normally, since we were on holiday and treating ourselves we decided to stop. Now I know from reading some of the previous reviews that some people have complained abour it being overpriced and more like... More

Diffuicult to write a review for the Glenuig Inn but I'll try. Not because I did not like the place but because we didn't know what to expect. We tend to go for the typical pub lunch so when we saw the prices and what was on offer we nearly did an about turn but then we thought the place... More

Not easy in this area to get anything that's not heavily doused in mayonnaises! We both had a delicious starter which was ample for us at lunchtime. My chunk of smoked salmon with interesting salads was absolutely delicious. Exc Sauvignon. Prompt service. Very friendly atmosphere. And no music..thank God! Yes it's had the usual current trend bland modern makeover, but... More

Interested to read the mixed reviews. I am one of the few who had experience of the old place- yes it was a quaint West Coast inn with some character certainly but totally run down, dilapidated and full of stinking drunkards- and the best food they could offer my mate and me after 12 hrs on the hills was a... Food was good here but wouldn't visit this place again. The food was pricy, I wanted a coke but they didn't sell it, only various natural colas and juices, fine if you like that kind of thing but they should also have an alternative, I was in the highlands of Scotland and wanted a nice comforting meal and relax in... We visited the Glenuig Inn last week for a lovely meal. The portions were a good size and there was a good choice for our group of eight. The starters included local prawns and Cullen skink, The fish pie and venison pie were the most popular main courses. It seems to have been recently refurbished and it was a pleasant... More

Visited yesterday to be greeted by Christine and a very warm welcome. The welcome was also extended to our small dog:) An excellent menu for low season was offered. Three of us opted for the Roshven beef burger. Exceptional! With home made relish and local provenance a plenty. My husband opted for the homemade fish pie... Which he scored 8/10.... More

We have just returned from a visit to a most magical part of the Highlands, where, despite the appallingly wet conditions, we could still appreciate the beautiful surroundings. On two occasions, we walked IN THE TORRENTIAL RAIN from Roshven to Glenuig and back. Each time, we stopped at the Glenuig Inn - firstly, for a drink, and finally, for a... More
