We came to Long Island on the Sheep Runner which docks at the Harbour Club. From check in to check out, our stay was great! Communication prior to arriving and during our stay was amazing. Demetria was an absolute gem showing us around, being available for any questions we had, and helping to arrange our rental car.

We stayed in a club room. The room was comfortable and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Great views of the water from the shared deck. There is a nespresso machine in the room with a few provided pods, as well as tea and a couple of waters. Beach towels were provided as well. I didn't realize it, but breakfast was included which was a nice surprise! The one thing I guess I'm used to and didn't have in the room was a safe but definitely not a big deal.

While I have had chickens at home and have vacationed on my Caribbean islands that have chickens roaming, do know that there are chickens on the grounds and the roosters do like to roost in the tree near the rooms - and their clocks are off by several hours! 12:53 AM they started and kept going. We shut the bathroom window and bathroom door to help block the noise (they were in the tree right outside our bathroom window) and had a fan of our own to help drown them out.

We ate our meals at the onsite restaurant, Upper Deck, (which I'll do a separate review on) but I would 100% recommend dining there! Again, friendly staff and the chef is not only fun to visit with but does an amazing job. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to eat or have drinks at Dock Side since we spent our days exploring the island, but hope to be back to try them out!

There wasn't a lot of information about the Harbour Club when I was looking to book so wanted to provide a review for others who are looking at staying there. I would definitely recommend staying there! You can see the gas station from the parking lot which made it nice for gassing up the rental car and they also had coffee and snacks there since we were leaving before breakfast was served. Hillside Grocery and the liquor store are a short drive to the north (wish I would have checked how far but I'd bet about 5 minutes by car). In looking for beaches, we took a right from the Harbour Club and then almost an immediate left and followed the road - what an amazing beach so close!

Sheep Runner was a great way to get to Long Island, the Harbour Club a great place to stay, and Upper Deck a wonderful place to dine. All of them - 10 out of 10!

Knowing we will be returning from LGI airport, rather than SML (think Bahamas Air scheduled flights vs charters) I really wanted to stay the last night somewhere closer to the airport, rather than having to drive 1.5h the morning of the flight all the way from Cape Santa Maria... and that's how I came across this brand new place - what I didn't know is how clean, pleasant and professional this place will be! Oh... and I have learned on the spot that their sister company is responsible for the ferry from Great and Little Exumas to Long Island - something I was looking for for ages! (check the hotel's website for more info if interested).

Location: about 20minutes easy drive north from the LGI airport, on the small harbor that handles ferries between Long Island and Exumas - no so much

Room: very nice beachy type of vibe, decent bed, clean room, smart TV, patio, shower with a bathtub, great WiFi - nice view of the sunset as well - the enjoyed the wine in the evening and coffee in the morning on the patio/balcony - also a nice spot for a sunset if you dont feel like going to the restaurant/bar

Food & restaurants: the restaurant on the spot was great, very unique menu for Bahamas, and Long Island in particular - which was a very pleasant surprise. Breakfast included in the room rate was great as well! Coffee in the room by Nescafe pods was a pleasant surprise too - I have reviewed the restaurant separately and left more pictures of it/dishes there

Hotel Grounds: there are 3 buildings, 1 smaller closer to the water with rooms, then bigger one, where we stayed, with 4 rooms on the first floor + some on the second, and then the restaurant/lobby/bar with the patio - right on the water - parking space/spots right in front of the room - no elevators but first floor had barely any stairs to go through

Beach/pool - this is not a spot in it self for either of these, but there is a very modest small sandy shore next door - though you want to go check out Cape Santa Maria, Gordon's and the like around the island as that's what Long Island is about :)

Things to do: Dean's Blue Hole is about 30-35m drive South, Cape Santa Maria about 45-50m drive North - you are somewhat in the middle of island to explore both ends, especially if this is your first time on Long Island, definitely you want a car as this is not the beachy location you probably are coming to the island - but it's a great base to use for exploring or airport/ferry transfer

Overall: very pleasant stay, although short I totally can recommend this place - probably other than roosters in the morning (welcome to caribbean islands ahha) this would have been a perfect stay to gather energy for the return trip - what stood out the most to us was super nice and friendly people working here and managing this property - we always speak highly of the Bahamians and it was super nice to conclude our stay in this type of atmosphere :)
