It seems so rare these days to find a place so secluded, exclusive and magical as Las Alamandas. Located in a 1500-acre private oceanfront property with 4 long private beaches, private landing strip and only 16 bungalows, this beautiful hotel exceeded our expectations. The property itself is worth the rave, but the staff made our stay even more memorable. The...

I return ti this paradise the third week of January every year. I actually just come for the day from Puerto Vallarta. They bill themselves as paradise found, and I could not agree more. This is my sixth year, and one of these days I will come and stay for unparalleled beauty and seamless service. Their guacamole is the best...

I just got back yesterday from a 6 night stay at Las Alamandas with my parents, my wife and 4 year old daughter and we all had an incredible time. The 2.5 hour ride through PV and the beautiful scenic countryside was fun and then we descended upon this hidden (and well guarded!) Paradise. The grounds are pristine, lush and...

Last year my wife and three young sons visited Las Alamadas along with two other families, both of whom had visited the resort many times. We have stayed at some the best properties in the world; Aman, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, many boutiques. Las Alamandas tops the list in terms of location, architecture, food and service. When you arrive at...

I have been to Las Alamandas twice and I wish I had been there several more times. Las Alamandas is one of those places that makes you feel "at home" the entire time you are there. While the resort is set on over 1500 acres of property, including four beaches, with vegetable gardens, hiking and riding trails and myriad types...

This property has a spectacular private beach, it's own landing strip, warm, friendly staff and no excuse for the sort of let down we experienced. We have stayed at many small luxe hotels and have some ideas of what to look forward to. Bed bugs are not on that list. I am fighting the urge to scratch my leg off...

First of all, we thank you for choosing Las Alamandas as a destination for your vacations. Since the great majority of our guests rave about their experience at Las Alamandas, it’s especially disappointing when a stay is less than perfect. Your comments are extremely important to us, and we have reviewed them with our staff and taken immediate steps to...

We purchased this trip on a PBS auction site. The cost after airfare, transportation and food/gratuities/service was added in was very expensive. The website was a little misleading because the time to get to the hotel was closer to 3 hours (of speeding and reckless driving on a winding road). The transportation we had was not even remotely like their...

This could be ideal if one wants to be in a very secluded location without much on offer, and an ocean front that is very dangerous to swim in. I was misinformed about the fact that the ocean really was dangerous to swim in- and it is. Very frustrating to be unable to swim at such a location. Rooms very...

Many guests come to Las Alamandas specifically to enjoy the privacy and seclusion that our beautiful eco-preserve offers. The tranquility is generally a welcome break from a hectic pace. We regret that you weren’t there when the ocean was calm enough to swim. But of course, along the Pacific Ocean the weather does vary, sometimes bringing with it impressive waves....

Dear Globetrotter: We sincerely value your feedback, and greatly appreciate the time you took to write a review. As you noted, the road leading from Puerto Vallarta to Las Alamandas has recently been undergoing repairs – for which we are quite grateful! Now, the drive will be easier than before – and the scenery just as lovely. We were pleased...

Las Alamandas is an exclusive resort situated on 1,500 acres within a private estate on the Pacific coast and is a pristine nature reserve. It is Mexico's ultimate escape! This secluded haven, named by many magazines as one of the most romantic hotels of the world, was designed and developed by Isabel Goldsmith-Patino. It offers to its guest's luxury, comfort and the highest standards of personalized hospitality in an exquisite setting.Las Alamandas was featured on the cover of Architectural Digest and was chosen by The Robb Report 100 as one of "Earth's Most Exclusive Retreats". It is not a diamond in the rough, it is an exquisite jewel on the Costalegre. Managed like an elegant private estate where guests feel completely at home. The resort is ideal for a romantic getaway, intimate honeymoons, unique family reunions and spectacular beach weddings. The clients are such as Brad Pitt, Sting and Trudie Styler, Maxwell, and Cindy Crawford. Robert de Niro has taken the entire hotel for the Christmas holidays several times. With a clientele of many celebrity guests and Fortune 500 CEO's, the hotel is often rented out in its entirety for a special event and is a favorite location for fashion shoots. Guests can enjoy gourmet Contemporary Mexican Cuisine featuring a fusion of finest Mexican recipes prepared with fresh and organic ingredients, fresh seafood and produce grown on-property. Meals are served at the "Oasis" restaurant, at the main Beach Club "La Palapa "overlooking the Pacific Ocean, in the privacy of your suite or as a gourmet-picnic on one of the four private beaches. Guests can indulge with spa treatments and massages to the sound of the Pacific. They can enjoy horseback riding at sunset, kayaking on the lagoons, take bicycle tours or hike to Look-out Point or simply sunbathe by the pool or take a siesta gently swaying in one of the many hammocks.
