It appears that this hotel has been very run down and is now attempting to get back up there to the glory days. The garden is totally run down, but the hotel has fresh paint everywhere and new furnishings in the public rooms. The beds were comfortable, but the en-suite was very old fashioned. I guess it will steadily improve...

Beautiful hotel in a lovely setting with two tame deer in gardens. Food very good. Exceptionally friendly owners and lovely staff. Definitely worth paying a little extra for a room with a superior view.

We only stayed one night but felt like we got to know the area pretty well. The owner, Raymond went the extra mile to get us a boat trip to nearby Isle Maree and it was beautiful. Hotel is clean, up to date and well cared for. Food was excellent. Proprietor's friendly and helpful.

Very friendly and great location on the NC500. Good reasonably priced dinners and wholesome breakfast. Deer in the gardens (would have loved to run round the lawns with my mower) and trips available on the loch. The bed was amazingly comfortable but the shower lacked umph! Staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel was very clean and well decorated....

Stayed for 4 nights, got upgraded to The Queen Victoria Bedroom. The views are breathtaking!!! The hotel is spotlessly clean, food is top notch and the choice of drinks in the bar is excellent. Caroline has over 70 different gins!! Loved every minute and nothing was too much trouble.

This is a great hotel with an interesting story. The very friendly owners are always on hand. The public areas are very well maintained and the room i had was in equally good order. Bonus of amazing views across the Loch. The view really is quite spectacular.Very quirky with Deer on the front garden. Really delicious dinner in the restaurant....

We stayed here on a trip round the NC500 so only had the 1 night booked. It did the job and the location was just lovely! The view from the room over the loch was gorgeous and there were 3 friendly deers to watch from the window too. Room was comfy and had all the basics, however there was free...

Wonderful hotel on the banks of Loch Maree with spectacular views we could never tire of and our room was large and beautifully furnished with harris tweed soft furnishings and a large freestanding bath. The local couple running the hotel were friendly and helpful and the food was of a high standard. The gardens at the back of the hotel...

We unfortunately stayed down the road at the Kinlochewe Hotel and upon discovering Loch Maree we were sorely disappointed. The hotel, its staff and owners were welcoming and friendly in a genuine way. We ate in the restaurant and the service, food and cost were good value but the views were wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel and trust me,...
