Not bad as a 1 night stop over.. very tired hotel. Bedding was clean and the owner and staff very nice. Not a fan of the breakfast. But would say that was down to personal taste. Very good Indian restaurant across the road...

We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way to Snowdon. We chose it as it was reasonably priced and in a convenient location. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good - cooked fresh to order. The room was spacious, but it was tired and grubby. I didn't find the bed very comfortable as...

Booked in for one night on our way to Blackpool, didn't get there in time for dinner but had a drink in the bar was an old building so some of it was quite tired but was clean and had a lovely breakfast so for the money was worth it.

Arrived early but taken straight up to my room by very pleasant young lady. Room was adequate for a £40 a night stay with en suite. A couple of beers in the bar and into the bistro room with a great menu for £8. Had delicious steak pie and glass of red. Nice cosy log fire and candles. Breakfast very...

We booked a one night stay here. The Cross Keys Hotel is a very old building with lots of character even though the decor is a little tired, but this did not have a negative effect on our stay. We stayed in room 6 on the second floor overlooking the very busy main road but with the double glazing we...

Arrived in glorious sunshine. Checked in past the locals who were having a few beers. Taken to our rooms right at the top of the building. Roomy and light, fittings and fixtures ok toilet next door and a shower room as well. Well the hotel is ok, fixtures and fittings loose sometimes and the decor well, tired. However the people...

Apart from that the food is fantastic value £8 for a massive home cooked meal by Malcom the landlord, breakfast is first class ....

The rooms were very clean and the room we had the beds were very comfy (however our friends said their bed wasn't). All in all not bad and what else would you expect for...

You get what you get with the Cross Keys, the rooms are adequate, I've stayed here 3 times now and always been in room 3 or 4, so I can't comment on the other rooms. The beds are old but comfortable, the bedding is fresh and clean, the rooms are clean too, great to get your head down for a...
