Very fine guesthouse, run by very fine hosts. Tucked away in a little hameau in the chateau of a castle (the guesthouse was a former hay shed of the castle), it’s a place that breathes peace and calm. Excellent for taking a day off and linger in the garden with a book, leaving the premises only for a stroll through...

My in-laws have stayed here before and they keep going back. We joined them this summer for a 5 night stay, and we could not be happier. The place is comfortable, very clean, modern, peaceful, and quiet. The hosts (Melina and Nicolas) do a fantastic job cooking (I'd suggest you try their meals and let them surprise you with a...

Melina was an excellent hostess who provided good food & wine in a beautifully designed communal area. The location is excellent for exploring the wine areas, the wonderful city of Beaunne and local medieval towns & villages. The have bicycles available with access to some lovely cycling in the area. Nicolas was such a friendly guy and lots of fun to talk with! Our room was very charming, nicely decorated, and very clean. I wish we had been able...

This was our first time at Le Foineau and even though we were only there for one night, we absolutely loved it. Burgundy in the middle of winter is chilly but Le Foineau was a warm and comfy haven. The rooms were bright and airy and decorated beautifully and the bedrooms were lovely. Melina and Nicolas were the perfect hosts,...

Each night, dinner is offered, and is always delicious and served with special care. The dining area includes a large table around which everyone can sit and converse easily. Nicolas is always...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Melina & Nicholas's B&B. Our bedroom was light and spacious. There is a lounge, kitchen, patio, garden and pool available for your use. We stayed 2 nights and both nights Melina cooked us a lovely 4 course meal, great to be able to come in after a busy day to a lovely meal and...

We were a party of 2 families (4 adults and 3 kids 3-5 yr old) and we decided on a little road trip from Paris to Burgundy, with Le Foineau as our base for about a week. We wanted something low-key, but still fun and exciting for all. Staying in the countryside with chickens and farms nearby was certainly a...

“Our rooms were perfect for us. We stayed in the upstairs double room,"Sur la route des vins" and our teenaged sons were delighted to stay in the room below us, "Un chemin de campagne". Fly screens on all windows so you won't have to worry about flies or mosquitoes, yay! Reservations are imperative! Book in advance!”
