Visited on a Sunday afternoon and had a lovely table outside in the garden. The staff were friendly and accommodating bringing our drinks out to the table. The visit was planned to try the pizzas and they were awesome. We tried most of them amongst the group and they were all something special and the ladies especially liked the desert...

Saturday lunch... Food was amazing. Lovely pies and fresh veg and gorgeous desserts. Would have given 5 stars if the service had been better. On arrival the staff behind the bar seemed very aloof and unwelcoming, but after we sat down the waitresses were helpful and attentive although a bit slow at times. We'd eat here again though because the...

Lovely pub, excellent accommodation, superb food what more can I say? Spent a very comfortable night at the White Horse this week and left feeling thoroughly spoiled. Normally I stay in Holiday or Premier Inns but this little gem is a significant upgrade whilst being very competitively priced. Meals are on the expensive side but you certainly get what you...

We took a table outside as the weather was very nice, they have a really nice garden here. I wasn't blown away by the food, but it was nice, just nothing special. I had roast chicken. We didn't have to wait too long either, even with it being peak time on a Sunday. We live nearby so will be back...

We stopped off for a quick bite to eat whilst out on a motorbike ride this evening. Been before and had a lovely meal, so decided to return. BIG mistake!!! Terrible service. Had to ask 4 times to be served and after 1 hour of waiting, eventually got told that they were busy and someone would come to us when...

Visited after a walk up to the castle and white horse. Glad we found this place as we needed a good refresher and the bar was well stock for all of us. The pizzas were thin crispy and tasted good, recommend trying one.

We had booked for the period august 23 till august 28 and were accommodated in room 2, very spacious with a bathroom upstairs. Breakfast was great with a wide choice, as were the diners. Very friendly staff, Always with a smile. Felt very welcome and certainly will revisit soon.

Not knowing what to do when you walk into a pub is one of my bugbears. Tables with no menus, yet bar staff reluctant to give a menu and told us to take a table and someone would follow with a menu... 15 minutes later they hadn't. Went back inside and asked for a menu again, reluctantly given whilst asking...

Booked a table for 18.30 and we were served promptly. The food, particularly the "chips" with the fish were not up to the usual standard we have had here before. They were dry and not crispy. Given the speed in which they were delivered to us, I might have even thought they were reheated from lunchtime. The "3 ways Lamb"...

We stopped here for a group lunch before heading home after a weekend camping. The food was really good and the garden was lovely but the pub and staff were not particularly family-friendly. No highchairs, no children's menu (they offer half portions of the adults menu), and no baby change. Maybe better for couples!
