We paid way too much through a booking agency. 120 MYR per night for a dble room with shared bathroom. It was our own fault. It was Hari Raya and school holidays not only for Europe but Malaysia. We left it too late to book anything else. Everything was booked out. Subsequently our room was inbetween the french backpacker students and the kitchen. However the place was clean and well organised. We took our own towels and there was pllenty of toilet paper. Shower and toilet was cleaned regularly. Plenty of hot water even when the place was fully booked, so let that be a lesson to book early and don't holiday in these places when it's a public holiday. Centrally located.

Stayed here for one night, then moved. It was an ok hostel but there are other places in the area that are better and cheaper. The toilets were fairly clean but not clean enough to go in there barefooted and the wifi was really bad. However, in general the place was pretty clean and quiet and the beds were quite comfortable.

Good location, good cheap breakfast options and self service tea/coffee. booked a double room, shared bathroom (#8). Room was basic, only one plug socket that didn't work. No aircon but didnt really need it. Major downfall was the room had a terrible smell, couldnt put my finger on it.. rotting fruit/damp/urine? That said, peaked in other rooms and they seemed fine, and we didn't complain so they were not able to offer solution. Able to book tours and bus tickets at reception through CS travel which have great reviews on TripAdvisor. We did full day Highlands tour, guide was great!

came here with my friend from a road trip and got scammed. we paid for a fancy room with a veiw and bathtub but they left us some overpriced "budget" type room. there was no staff anywhere when we arrived and when they FINALLY picked up the phone, some moody guy came, gave us the key to the wrong room and then just ran away before we could get anyone to fix it. we called 50 times more but they just completely ignored us. we already told them we'd be arriving at 2am but there was no staff ANYWHERE. in the morning the lady just gave 50rm back, which doesn't even cover the downgrade. she told us to register on booking.com that we never came. ugh. just awful.

Good location, affordable pricing, but room and shared showers smelled moldy. Service is trash, lady behind the desk didn’t welcome me, didn’t show me around, provided me with misinformation. Also I asked for laundry service, but stains remained in my clothes.

If you are looking for a reasonably affordable mediocre place to stay and you don’t mind being treated like a stray dog, this is the place for you!

Stayed here on weekend with family ,find out this hotel was a family run business . Initially booked the room for 2 nights through phone and they request me to bank in. When i arrived on friday they told me have to pay for the next day or else if i pay on saturday they ll release the room to others even though i booked. Such an arrogant and cocky attitude . Never experienced with such hotel service before .
Second incident was when i request for hot water they offer me boiled water (which mean not hot). Not willing to get me hot water from kitchen .
My personal advice is if you have a choice please look for other hotel .

Went there inquire about rooms and the rates, but no one manned the reception. Went to their hair studio and was told to surf the net and check out my self by a male staff. Told the guy that I do not appreciate his way of treating a customer, and he started ranting about being busy and that its not his problem to entertain me. The icing was when i told him that its his job to explain and entertain customers, he asked me "why should i?"

So much for hospitality.

I used to have a nice conversations with the owner few years back, sitting in the terrace and having their famous scones but after this experience, i will never go back, even with a knife on my neck.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. In the beginning, until we agreed to book the room, the staff was really friendly with us. From that point on just the opposite. The owner was not friendly at all and really doesn't care if you are satisfied. Worst of all, in the room, all the bed linings and pillows were extremely stinky, because everything in the room is basically humid.

The accommodation was nothing special although it was relatively clean throughout.

Unfortunately however, the lady at reception was exceptionally rude and we did not even see her smile once during our two night stay despite being courteous and polite to her. The walls were also very thin and you could hear people talking in other rooms. The phone also continually rang until around 11.30pm which no one bothered to answer as reception was left almost continually vacant.

We also had to wait 15 minutes for staff to arrive at reception on the day we checked out which wasn't very helpful as we needed to catch a bus!

Please do urself s favour guys..dun waste ur time going there...After trying to look for scones we bumped into this place, where the entrance read 'welcome for tea & homemade scones'. Evethought t place looked shabby from the outside we thought we would give it a try. We parked a bit far as there weren't any parking n upon reaching the entrance of the so called reception there were no one around. The place was gloomy, dark n looked like some underground cafeteria. Even so we thought we will give it a try. As we entered there was no one to greet us just a small table with two laminated menu n paper n pencil to fill our order. We were waiting for a few minutes n finally saw a lady in s small cubical, with her fat butt parked n without a smile. And since we noticed in t menu they stated tat t restaurant closes at 5pm n we were there ard 5.45pm, we asked if the restaurant was closed or can we order, this lady with a loud n extremely rude tone said 'yeah thats y im waiting for ur order lar'...OMG like seriously, I just asked if we could order or if its close, you don't need to be so arrogant. My wife n I totally lost our mood, it was like a slap on our face... honestly even if anyone insisted us to try out that place, we wld never go to a badly run place like tat...this person has totally lost her mannerism and its sad coz she behaved in such a way at her age...

I think it depends on the type of room you book. We had a private bathroom.
