This is the worst hotel I had ever stayed in my life. I walked and book for the so called "Deluxe" room for RM180/night.The room is lack of maintenance. I m wondering whether the bed sheet is changed daily. I feel itchy while I was trying to sleep at night and I totally can't fall asleep after I found out that there are bed bugs. My neck, shoulder, stomach, thigh was bitten by the beg bugs.I can only keep my eyes open for the whole night as I keep feeling that the bed bugs are crawling on my body and it's truly noisy downstairs from mid night till morning as the hotel is just beside the main road. We can hear clearly ppl laughing, talking, shouting, open the door close the door, starts engine and etc. It was such a long and suffering night to me!!!it's not worth for rm180 and I will never go back again unless they re-renovate the hotel again!!that is truly a nightmare to me!!!!!

This is one of the worst hotel i have ever stayed in my travelling life. i walked in and got myself a Deluxe room for RM180.00. I was too tired to look for hotels around brinchang because drove from Johor...

The person at the reception was not welcoming at all when i walked over to the counter because maybe i was judged on my appearance. room was clean but full of defects, poorly managed.

Upon check in, remind them to turn on the Hot water and please turn your shower nob to the right for hot water.

The night receptionist, i have never seen someone who is so unfriendly at the counter of any reception. Friendly advise, if you could afford to pay, do not stay in this hotel. It should be the last option.

P.S avoid staying on 1st floor room 108 or 107, the noise from the next door restuarant will keep you up all night long.

Staff are the same ones from morning till night looking very tired n worn out. Manager or the owner talking very loudly at lobby area ignoring guest shows no respect for paying guest. Keep screaming on top of her voice calling for the staff when the poor receptionist are busy with checking us.

Room were clean but the toilet looks like never been washed as if someone has used before. Wifi was working in our room. Good hot shower. The owner should look at taking care of the staffs as well making money. Really poor management.

PRO:
- Average price (180 RM for King Size bed)
- Large Room
- Excellent location
- Newly renovated / flat TV on room

CON:
- Sheets had not been changed, everything full of hair, we were not the only ones (other guests also complained), we had to change the sheets by ourselves.
- In general the room (and the building) had a dirty shining.
- No breakfast because cook was on holiday!??!
- Bathroom was poorly constructed and you easily flood everything during a regular shower.

Stayed there for one night and would never come back. Checked hotels in Tanah Rata and this one seemed to be ok so we did not even check the room before we paid. At the reception they have a notice that only 50% will be refunded if you are not happy with the room after you already paid. I guess I know why now. The room would be ok if the outside wall was not all moldy. I mean the whole wall was blue and the smell in the room was terrible. From what I could understand the receptionist (was very hard to understand him anything he was saying), this was the only room they had free so we had no choice but stay there for the night. Next night we went to Hillview Inn.

I was in Tanah Rata with my 85 yes old mum when suddenly she wanted to go to the toilet. The public toilet was a distance away and therefore my sister took her to this hotel and asked for the toilet from a receptionist called Abdulla. She told them there was no toilet and asked that my mum used the public toilet which was a problem for my mum to walked. I was very angry and approached Adzilla and asked her there should be a toilet in the hotel. She said yes but only for staff use. I asked that I speak to the owner directly. She tried to call a Madam Bala but she was not around. I would agree with the negative reviews that this hotel has.

Response from Piyadarshini, Public Relations Manager at Capital O 89695 Planters Hotel
Responded 29 Aug 2018
Dear Mr Tan, First and foremost we would like to apologise for any inconvenience that you faced during your visit to our hotel. However, upon clarification with our staff Adilla, we were informed that she had politely explained to you that the toilet was under repair and further explained that the staff toilet was a distant away where one would have to cross a drain, which is certainly not suitable for your mother to use. She also suggested that the next door cafe where you had your meal with your family rents out their toilet for a nominal fee. However, we were informed that you were unhappy and insisted you wanted to use the toilets in the hotel rooms instead. This we are afraid is against our hotel policy as the rooms are fully occupied considering it is the holiday season. Hence, we are unable to allow non-patrons to utilise the hotel room toilets. We hope you understand that this is a standard policy to avoid any disruption to our hotel guests. Thank you.

Really the only good point about this hotel was the good location. I had to pay cash as their credit card machine wasn't working, did not get a receipt. The hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. The bed linen was clean but stained and grey with age. There was a kettle in the room but no cups or tea and coffee. No aircon and an extra charge to hire a fan. There are a lot of accommodation choices in Tanah Rata, this place seriously needs to lift it's game! I would not recommend it.

This property is well situated in the center of town with all the sounds, smells and atmosphere which that entails. We opted for the premium room which is ample in size. After an interrupted first night sleep due to a sour smell eminating from the bed , upon investigation on the second night of our stay by removing the pillow cases and stripping the bed we were horrified to find that the pillows were filthy with red sweat stains and dirt. The mattress cover was blood stained in an area that could be deduced as a feminine accident. Additionally, the mattress had large fresh and old blood stains in a similar area. Being that my traveling companion was recovering from typhoid fever and the hour, we turned the mattress over , eliminated the mattress pad, used our clothing as pillows and spent an uncomfortable evening . Additionally, the room had interior wall mold which will activate anyone who has upper respiratory issues. Avoid at all costs if you have any allergies.

"Room 204 was great - the TV worked and so did the shower (you have to let it run a bit for it to get hot but it does get REALLY hot!). There was lots of room to unpack and the windows face a side street and not the main street so might be a bit quieter than other rooms."
