We booked 2 nights here and were very happy with the room, which was spacious and had all we needed (water cooker, tea and coffee, plus a balcony). The breakfast buffet had a ample choice of hot and cold dishes, ranging from local/Indian to eggs and sausages, and even Bircher müsli. The first evening we dined in the Chinese restaurant and had a steam boat menu. The staff was extremely nice and helpful in explaining us how to do this. We heard from other travellers it can get very crowded in the weekends, but on the weekdays that we were there, it was very quiet and peaceful. It was a relief that we did not need a n airconditioner as the weather was cool. All in all, a great experience.

Check in staff wasnt that friendly. No eye contact but said check in strictly only at 3pm. The surroundings of the resort was beautiful and we were given room with great view. TV in the room used Roomie apps however it kept showing no signal. The whole sofa set was unusable as the base was damaged. You will basically sit on the spring. Buffet breakfast was adequate, nothing fancy. Staff at the restaurant were friendly.

We booked into the Tioga suite, one up from the normal and were not disappointed. After the arduous road trip up, were very happy with the generous hot shower to soak under, then relax on the balcony & listen to the quiet sounds of the jungle. We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant- steam boat; ample serving with dessert to follow (extra). All well worth the price. Breakfast next morning also provided good selection of local and western options. We only stayed a night but was very tempted to have a dip in the heated pool with temperature to my liking (circa 25C at least) so that will have to wait till our next trip! Staff were friendly and accommodating especially Wati who went to the extra mile to make us feel at home while we enjoyed our dinner. Look forward to staying again.

We stayed at this hotel for a 3-days 2-nights vacation at Cameron Highland. The hotel is located quite high up from the main road where you'll be driving up a winding road to get to the location. The surrounding area is quiet and very peaceful. Fresh air and lots of flowers in the vicinity. It is a 4-star hotel with classic decorations & well maintained facilities. The interior decoration is nice. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Checking in was quick & the staff manning the check-in counter was very helpful. We stayed in the Shasta Family Suite, with 1 Master bedroom (king size bed) with adjoining bathroom, 1 medium size room (queen size bed) and 2 single sized rooms (single beds). There's another bathroom outside the Master Bedroom for the other guests to use. The Shasta Family Suite is spacious, with wooden floor rooms & well maintained. We have a private balcony overlooking the area. The furniture (closet, desk, sofa etc) is well maintained by the staff. The bed, pillows & comforter are very comfy - you'll definitely get a good night sleep. The lighting in the room is good & adequate. Kettle, tea & coffee are provided - somehow they didn't provide small spoons to use to make the drinks. The bathrooms are also well maintained, though not newly refurbished. The towels provided are soft & comfortable. Amenities provided are sufficient for day use. Overall, the rooms & bathrooms are well maintained & clean. There's no air cond or fans in the rooms, just open the window or the balcony sliding door if you need a fresh air. I guess there's no need for air cond/fan since the air is cool and could get even cooler at night. As all the hotels in Malaysia, there's no heater in the rooms. So, it could get quite cool in the rooms, especially at night. Come prepared with warm clothes, socks etc. The hotel provided disposable slippers, but they are not thick, thus can break easily. This is something that the hotel needs to invest in - thicker disposable slippers for guests. The buffet breakfast was adequate, with good selection of local and western food, with salads and omelette station. Try to go early so that you won't wait for available table (opens at 7:30am). Very attentive staff in the restaurant. We didn't eat lunch or dinner at the hotel. so can't comment on those. Internet connection (wifi) provided is very good & fast. A word of advice, avoid Cameron Highlands during school holidays and weekends. You'll definitely spend a lot of time in your car dealing with the traffic jam.

Check in time is STRICTLY 3pm. Was informed that folks at housekeeping has a system and cannot be pressured. Their lunch is 1-2pm, and will update at 2pm. If room is ready at 2pm, you may check in but need to pay RM50 per room for "early" check-in. Amenities is of budget hotel quality. Room temperature is same as outside temperature, which is cold-cold-cold-cold. Shower has good hot water. View, will depend on the room you booked. Block A faces the hill valley and car-park. Better views at B and C but rooms are family suites. Breakfast is of adequate variety, service crew is well-mannered and helpful. Driving up to the property feels like driving up a mini Cameron highland. So, it can be quite a pain if you need to go up and down and up and down several times a day... Food at The Lantern (Chinese food) is so-so.

I didn't put 1 star because the place is indeed beautiful but the service very poor . You must come armed with a lot of patience and tolerance Starting with the worst: - check in: we arrived at 2:45pm and wanted to proceed for the check in because we have a 2y old baby sleeping in the car and the receptionist told us it starts at 3pm and we can let the baby sleep in the car (which is uncomfortable), I said fine but would appreciate if she (Alinema) could check if there was a room available now since most probably a room should have been cleaned up already 15 minutes before the official check-in time starts. She said ok she will check and INSTEAD she didn't check anything and 5 minutes later she started checked in other guests while I was taking care of the baby at the lobby. And we lost the queue because there is NO line up for the check-in (see picture). We finally checked in 30 minutes AFTER we arrived - After checking in, she told us how to go to the room. We went there, our room on the 3rd floor and lift in the entire resort. How to carry 2 suitcase+ 1 baby stroller. So I went back to the reception, had to wait for another 10 minutes for a staff to help - environment Tax : cash only. Cannot pay by credit card.. All those incidents/ inconveniences for hotel we paid RM450 ($150) a night, which is one of the most expensive one in the area

The staff here are very friendly, hospitable, and warm. It is located somewhat high up, and their main restaurant (where one has breakfast, lunch or buffet dinner) has a beautiful view of the valley below and around. The food is good, and we ate at their Chinese restaurant almost every evening. They have a jungle tour (10RM) which was guided and the guides explained the features of the flora really well, and took care of the children and the guests on the 1 hour + hike, making sure everyone had a foot hold and helping guests traverse tricky uphill/downhill sections. The room is well stocked and clean, however if the other guests are noisy you may hear them through your balcony. The swimming pool is nicely heated and big enough to exercise in (ie. do some short laps). The drive up to the resort may be tricky for those not experienced navigating turns uphill/downhill, but basically the drive into cameron highlands IS like that, so nothing much different for those with some experience, just go slow and keep left. (Personally I had no problems) Lastly, do plan your travels early in the morning (8am) as the traffic during the holidays (go research Cameron highlands traffic jams) was atrocious (not a knock on the hotel), and as the resort is located between Brinchang and Tanah Rata, and not really walkable either direction, do go out early, and come back by noon/1pm and just enjoy lounging around the resort!

The hotel is great and the rooms are really nice and spaceous. The complimentary cup of lemongrass tea at the reception made us feel welcome. The dinner was great and the drinks afterwards atthe bar were good. The pool area has a sauna, too - unlucky for us, the whole pool was full of screaming dutch people well after operating hours so we had no chance to try it out.

We came here 4years ago and to our surprise, rooms CK diction and food is better this round. We stayed in Fresno Room (of 2 rooms) for 2nights. We reached the hotel at 3pm but was told room was not ready. Waited until 4.15pm, at last got the room located at Block B. I would say, room was clean and the hospitality staff did a good job. We had our breakfast & dinners at the hotel. Breakfast spread was simple but good enough. No egg station, but there’s nasi lemak, porridge, salads, fried noodles, chicken curry … etc. On the 1st day, we went for steak at Tudor Grill. We ordered beef steak, chicken confit, pouch salmon with spaghetti and red wine. For 2nd day, we had steam boat night @The Lantern, with white wine. Food was good at both restaurants. We are delighted when the head of F&B came to greet us at Tudor Grill & The Lantern. I’ll recommend to eat here when you are too lazy to go out and you just wanted a relax ambience while having your dinner. Staff at Tudor Grill and The Lantern were also polite, Zul & Wati, not forgetting the young Chinese chef at The Lantern, the prawn dish recommended was good.
