We thought Arundhina was a very pleasant no frills guest house. It has a terrific location, really peaceful but handy to stroll to the restaurants and bar in town. Our room was simple but very clean and comfortable. We had a private garden which was delightful, somewhere pleasant to sit and nurse our post hike weary limbs. The complimentary tea and coffee is thoughtful. Breakfast was simple, continental style which was adequate for us.
Love the location of this bungalow guesthouse which is near to everything you need nevertheless a place that you can have a peace and quiet time in Cameron. They provide simple breakfast (cereal, toast, coffee and tea) for all their guests. Coffee and tea is complimentary all day long. The guesthouse have a sweet reading corner where you can borrow a book and chill at the balcony with a cup of coffee or tea. There is also a lovely garden at the side of the building. Suitable for those who wish to have a peaceful stay but not too far away from the town. Sound proof in the room is excellent for light sleeper like me. For this is a guesthouse, so it is not for those who expect a five-star stay. If you are a nature lover, do not hesitate to book a night here and let us see whether you will extend another night like I did! Haha…
We stayed here for a couple of nights in late October. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast at their cafe was nice. We were there during the wet season so everything felt damp from the clothes in our suitcase through to the bedding. In turn this made everything feel cold. Unfortunately to have a hot shower you had to turn the pressure down to the lowest which meant showering under a trickle. That said, the room was clean and I can only imagine their struggle against mould!
Please take extra bed if gonna bring your kids together. The receptionist so helpful, a bit 'ranggi' at first but she's okay actually, willing to help ay any time. Basic breakfast but enough. Got pantry serve hot water for parents bring kids. Beyond my expectation. The toilet clean, but the water pressure a bit low. Overall the room so cozy yet neat. Got large balcony for deluxe room. Will repeat next time. Pleasant stay.
Was here few days ago had great stay ,the rooms are very clean and nice, perhaps a little noisy in the noon as there is a big mall so sometimes people do shout from there..overall good price great people and affordable for everyone when you are in Cameron highland..
Very basic guesthouse with friendly staff. I came to Cameron Highlands for the quiet environment. However, there is construction work going on in the building next door, so better avoid this hotel for a while if that's important to you. Breakfast was the most basic I have ever seen, better to use the cafe they are working with. Room was good size. Mattress was quite firm. There was no shower pressure in the bathroom, just a trickle of water. I didn't get any WiFi signal in the room, it worked better in the lobby.
Totally impressed. A true guesthouse in every sense of the word. Quiet and tranquil. Well-managed and well-maintained, friendly and clean. Shoes must be kept outside. They have a lovely garden. I highly recommend it.
This small hotel/hostel is so unpretentious. It is spotlessly clean, there is everything you need in a bedroom ( including electricity points to charge your phones). The gardens a lovely and there is space to roam around the house. The view is good and as it is on a slope you feel part of the town without being in it. It is possible to choose to have breakfast in the Mossy Forest Cafe instead of the very simple breakfast in the hotel. Here you can add anything you want to the basic menu. One of the taxi drivers they recommend was an excellent guide. So we had a really good holiday in Tanah Rata.
Things did not start out well when we had a lot of difficulty finding the place. We arrived by bus from Ipoh and it was around 9 pm as our bus was delayed by the very heavy traffic that is common on the weekends in the Cameron Highlands. Eventually thanks to a helpful young fellow on the street, we found the place. The person at the front desk emphasized all the rules there are such as remove your shoes before you enter the guest house. Our room was on one of the upper floors and was quite small. We were only there for one night so this wasn't a big problem but we did find the room to be very damp and cool. As others have noted, the shower has very little pressure. Perhaps some of the other rooms are better. We chose to have breakfast at the Mossy Forest cafe for a small extra fee and I think it was quite a bit better than what they had on offer at the guest house. When we did meet the fellow who owns or at least manages the guest house, he was very friendly and helpful and was able to contact the tour agency regarding the sunrise tour we had booked and who had never shown up. They arranged an alternate tour for us and that worked out very well so we were grateful for his assistance in getting this resolved.…
We had a two night stay at Arundina. All staff were very friendly and the guesthouse was very clean. Breakfast was very simple but more than adequate (I think some guests forget Arundina is a small guest house and not a hotel). We had a lovely stay and for the price you pay Arundina is great value for money.
