We stayed 2 nights at Casa Dela Rosa. Went around Cameron high lands. We had a wonderful stay. We took a quad family room which is very spacious with golf course view. The staff are very cordial and friendly. We are vegetarians. They catered to us very well, made wonderful vegetarian dishes from scratch for us at each meal. My aged mom was traveling with us, they took very good care of my mom attending to her needs. I would like to thank Chef Ramdan, Ms. Lakshmi and Mr.Siva for all the care. I recommend Casa dela Rosa.
One of the worst I’ve been to. Room is old, noisy. You can hear the neighbors running and talking all day even the water pipes behind the walls. Room service was not clean, I found hairs of my bed. Coming to the breakfast one hour before it finishes to find everything finished and only few left overs that no one want to eat. I asked for omelette and waited for 15 min then the chef came to me and said “do you still want the omelette?” I said no and left. What the hell I paid for then! and it is not cheap hotel. Totally a mess!
The food was super delicious. The staff ms Sasi, ms Meera n ms Karpu welcomed us with unforgettable moments by their services provided. And not forgetting our chef Siva who was very friendly . Our honeymoon package was super fantastic.
It's nestled between Tanah Rata & Brinchang, opposite the golf course. Though it is right beside the main road, the amount of noise did not disturb us. The room was spacious. The complimentary breakfast that came with the room package offered a good spread of choices. They can prepare specially for vegetarians, too. Just need to inform them. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast for the two mornings we were there. We will definitely stay there again if we can get a good price.
We were happy to find that the room was clean, having had many bad experiences with hotels in Cameron Highlands. The room we stayed in had a bit of peeling paint, which was not desirable. Also, the hotel is beside the road so traffic sounds could be heard, but we were not disturbed by it. Breakfast was enjoyable and the buffet variety was good. Upon informing them that we were vegetarian, the hotel restaurant gave us the option of ordering specially prepared vegetarian fried bihun, kuay teow, and noodles. The fried bihun was good. Overall, we had a great stay here.
The hotel has a strong colonial British feel to it in terms of design, decor & furniture. It enjoys a rich warm & welcoming atmosphere from the beauty of the drive way through into reception and beyond. We stayed in a front facing room on the 2nd floor - it was a spacious room with a large comfortable double 4 poster bed, double doors out onto a balcony that overlooks the golf course. The bathroom is large, but some might not like the shower in the bath and there is a small step inside the bathroom (I normally bash my toes on things a lot...but didn't have any problems with this!) Breakfast provides a variety of options, which cater for most (if not all) tastes. Eggs are cooked to order. The staff were all friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Some spoke excellent English, whilst others less so and understandably were less confident with the usual less formal conversation. The manager (Anthony) was extremely helpful, very polite, remembered customers names and would take time to check on their respective hotel AND holiday experiences. I think the location is perfect, we walked up to the busy Saturday night market (about 700 m) past the queueing traffic going there. We walked out to local nearby places to eat & drink. Access to a few jungle tracks is good, the biggest challenge is actually finding the start points when you get to them. Try it, you will probably understand! We did 1 private excursion (half day in a landrover with Cameron Secrets, seperate review, but they collected & dropped off at the hotel). There are numerous hotels in the Cameron Highlands to choose from...but few with enjoy such a pleasant location, environment and overall experience for this money. It is excellent value for money! So, why not a 5 then? Well there are a few bits looking a bit tired... The bathroom - clean, functional but disappointing when considering everything else. The carpet had a few burn marks where a previous guest had decided to iron on the floor I think! Really? There is an ironing board & iron. On and the road outside can be a bit noisy, but I'm not sure how you get everything else without being near the main road. Anyway, we recomend this hotel. Enjoy...…
We stayed just for a night. Stayed on Sunday, Jan 12th, 2020 and checked out the next day. The hotel is comfortable although I think it kinda stucked in the 90s but the service, the breakfast, the ambience is outstanding. Dont mind stayng here again. Good value of money and now its a walking distance to the Night Market.. only 600metres away. Bear in mind the “pasar malam” is only from Friday to Saturday.
The location is great, in fact during "peak season" where the traffic is extremely horrible, you can take a walk to Tanah Rata & arrive faster. Rooms are fine and some have been refurbished. Those who take the golf terrace view would enjoy a breathtaking view of the golf course & trust me, you guys will be greeted by the birds' chirping in the morning. I simply love that hotel.
I will be totally honest. The hotel is old, Furnitures is dated. Bed and pillows is as hard as rock. When the next room flushes, u can hear it loud and clear not mentioning when a baby cries. All night long u can hear traffic on the nearby road. TV has 5 channels and the very last night of the 3 nights stay, it was left with 1 channel. Power failure was the excused. Breakfast was fast and furious, by 9 am the food is almost gone. If the staff smile at you, he or she is weird, cos I thought the motto of the hotel is dont smile and make the guests feel unwelcome. Location is in between tanah rata and brincang n if u dnt have transport, good luck with taxi. No e hailing service. O yes, bidet in toilet is position on left size of wc. Warning, watch u step everytime, u come in and out of the room. The floor is not level, weird for a hotel. The ramp at the lobby to the parking is probably good for a skateboarder. Everytime we go out from the hotel, dont feel like coming back but payment was made and no choice to come back to an ye olde room. CASA DE LA ROSA, WAKE UP.…
The room was spacious and comfortable. Installations were working well although short on certain amenities. From the hotel we could go to various interesting places with ease. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast with its sufficient variety and efficient service. However light sleepers could hear the noise from passing vehicles.
