Stayed here for a couple of nights to visit the highlands. Room was spacious, bed comfortable. Tv was good, WiFi great. Shower was hot although bathroom was small. Breakfast very basic. Just toast. Hot drinks available all day. Close to everything. Would definitely recommend.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 nights while we were visiting the Cameron Highlands. The room was satisfactory- a large bed and a bit of space in the bedroom. However, it was the cleanest hotel and the bathroom was very small and not well ventelated. Overall, it was okay but a bit pricey.

Stayed here with my girlfriend for 2 nights. The location is good for going to and from the bus terminal as well as hiking trails. Scooter rentals, tour companies, and food readily available in walking distance. The movies in the living area were a nice touch as was the filtered water. I would recommend a microwave for additional options as the breakfast is rather scarce. Staff were all nice. The bathroom was not great. Recommend some improvements. Impossible to not soak the toilet etc when using and water pressure must be very low to feel the water warm up/get hot. Overall a decent, albeit overpriced option. Would probably investigate other locations if I came back.

I had an odd experience in this hostel. The owner was lovely and friendly when I checked in, although I was charged a higher rate than was advertised on all the booking sites (he later said this was because I was staying over a weekend - but fellow travellers I spoke to were not charged this surcharge, just me). A few hours after check in, the owner said he was moving me into a private room as the hostel was overbooked. I noticed a lot of bags in the room and asked whose they were and he said it was his stuff as he would be sleeping in the room too, but on a mattress on the floor. I felt very uncomfortable with this and couldn’t tell if he was joking, but made it clear I wasn’t happy with this. The mattress and bags later were taken from the room. Luckily I’d met some nice fellow travellers in the hostel, otherwise I would have left the first night - I did move to a different hostel for the remainder of my time in the Highlands. Organisation at the hostel was a bit all over the place, with staff coming in in the morning when guests were sleeping, a tendency to move guests around dorms each night and some fairly confusing messages about getting around the Highlands / tour opportunities. I didn’t feel comfortable at this hostel and would not advise it to solo travellers.

This hostel is in a great location of the Cameron Highlands as the main shops are easy to access with lots of restaurants nearby. The owner was extremely helpful with bus companies to hire, places to go plus restaurants to eat at, and was very friendly from the start. The rooms were very clean, well kept and well-facilitated. I stayed in a room for four with two bunk beds which were very comfortable and blankets were provided. The bathroom in the room wasn't great as the shower head was positioned over the toilet so it meant everything got wet in the bathroom when the shower was used. There are a lot of stairs as well to get up to the place which was unpleasant. Overall, I would recommend this hostel.

Great little hostel. Owner: Lucas was very helpful, directed us on tours and booked transport etc. He cane along with the group for the day when visiting tea plantations etc. Rooms: clean and basic - bathroom consisted of a shower over the toilet, so everything got soaked whilst showering. Lots of stairs to reception; quite slippery as well. Good location, small chill out area, free bread and jams for breakfast. Only one two slice toaster. Some rooms had en suite others a shared bathroom. Photos are of the tea plantations and view in Mossy Forest

If you would like to stay at Cameron Highlands, Thana Rata is the place you should go for. The CH Travellers Inn is well located. We stayed in a 6-bed mixed dorm an our own toillet and shower in the room (everything was clean). The staff was very friendly and helpful. If we come back, we would stay here again.
