We went there to take a short break . The place were nice and it was affordable. The rooms were air conditioned and the place was quite and relaxing. Recommended for economical team building. Will surely comeback.

Me and my Girlfriend went to Dakong Bato Resort one beautiful day in April this year. The staff were really nice and fairly welcoming, and the food were good. But sadly, the amenities were unsatisfactory. Due to a very filthy pool, i suffered skin allergies for about almost 3 weeks. I was dissatisfied and uninterested to visit the resort again.

The rooms are okay, quite expensive. There is nothing much to do here because the beach isn't that nice (do not expect white sand with long shorelines), and the pool is murky. This property sits on a cliff, so be prepared to walk up and down the concrete stairs. The food is great though, but a little expensive which is...

The videoke runs until 10 pm. If you happen to stay in the room above the videoke place, you'll go mad with the noise. The receptionist will reassure you that the volume will be turned down. It's, of course, mere lip service. If you want to watch TV or do some work late in the afternoon or into night time,...

It was a spontaneous trip to South with my fiance and son. We booked a sea view room at 3000.00 pesos (already good for 3 persons but without breakfast.) The place has 2 swimming pools, and a crystal clear sea. It kind of reminds you of Santorini (i guess that's their goa- to get that "santorini-feel" like place.) Good sides:...

Did not enjoy the place since we were here for Day used. Perhaps if overnight stay its nice to explore the area. We bought 1.5L coke that cost Php100. There is a corkage fee when you bring food and they charged per head.

As the title suggest, it was a great place to stay. They have great amenities - great rooms with great oceanviews, spacious function rooms, watersports, open cottages, pools to choose from, cafe, souvenir items - We just had to visit it again. The three hour ride - more or less - wasn't a problem. You can stay here with someone special,...

We checked in at this hotel after our whale shark watching in Oslob. The hotel is 30 mins away from Oslob. Upon arrival, they informed us that there was an electricity blackout in the area but assured us that electricity will go back to normal at 5pm. For the mean time, they will open their generator. They allowed us to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located at the southern part of Cebu specifically at the municipality of Dalaguete in Barangay Coro, guests of Dakong Bato Beach and Leisure Resort are assured of no problem finding it as this has been used as a marker to signify entry into the said municipality. "Dakong Bato" translates to Big Rock in the English language. Once you will see the landmark just before you enter the resort's gate, you will instantly understand why such the name... For it literally is what it means. Dakong Bato and Leisure Resort offers fully-air conditioned rooms each with its own private bathroom, equipped with TV and DVD. Rooms can accommodate 2-10 people depending upon its size, whether for couples, families or barkadas. There are specially-designed rooms for workshops and teambuildings as well. Always out to give the best, quality service, this beach and leisure resort comes with free WiFi access to its guests and visitors. Cottages are available for guests who want to spend the day cooling themselves at the beach or taking a dip at its child-friendly spring water pool. The latter, by the way, comes with a slide and a jacuzzi that's perfect for instant relaxation via massage with warm waters. Manicured lawns adorn the whole resort resulting into a lot of nature green color meant to soothe and calm one's soul. For guests on their teambuilding, an array of activities await in line: For the sports buff, the basketball court and water volleyball at the pool are sure to give you good sweating and exercise. For the more adventurous spirit, there are rubber kayaks and dingy boats for rent and a cave adventure adds a cool twist to the otherwise laid-back atmosphere. Apart from this though, what also makes Dakong Bato Beach and Leisure Resort famous is its association to the Visayan folkore which tells the story of "Maria Cacao", the half immortal who made the huge stone the docking place of her golden ship which carried the cacao she sold to Manila and outside countries. Such is the reason why it is said that even if it has been many centuries already, the marker is said to be "immovable" and still literally growing. ... more   less
