I loved this hotel, the location, the room, the food and all but one of the staff and this is why I rated it a 3. We arrived at the hotel early and knew we couldn’t take the room over until 3pm, so we were told we could use the bar, we sat with wine in the beautiful gardens and the exploring began, to our surprise we found a trim trail track had a go and realised how old we are, pretty quickly. How was an amazing member of staff very knowledgable and helpful, like I said the food was good. Now I hope the manager reads this and takes some action, at around 5pm my other half was chilling after a shower and I was stood making a drink, when we booked in at 3pm everything was done on line, if there was an issue, check the computer or ring the room, anyway at around 5pm I heard a bleep and an unknown male walked into my room, when I challenged him he said he was the late turn receptionist and he came to check if the room had been taken over. I was angry this should never happen what if my other half was alone in the shower or valuables were left out and we were not in the room, I was determined this wouldn’t spoil my break, I rang reception to check and complain, the same male answered the phone and confirmed it was him then hung up on me. Undeterred we did enjoy our evening and the next days breakfast but made a complaint with the female receptionist in the morning. If this incident hadn’t of happened which is a security issue I would have awarded 4.5 stars.

We stayed here after working locally and weren’t sure what to expect due to the mixed reviews but it was really lovely. We had a ground floor twin room, with opening windows which was a nice change. The beds were super comfortable, good powerful shower. Dinner was great and the young man serving was managing the bar and waiting tables but was managing to give really swift service nonetheless. Breakfast was delicious and delivered quickly. All staff with no exceptions were friendly. Very pretty gardens and the decor was great too.

A hotel which looks great from the outside but which seriously overcharges for an average B&B experience. This place doesn't compare with a fine hotel in the centre of Manchester yet charges as much. We had a small rather tired room with heating which operated remotely. The bed was very comfortable and probably the highlight of the stay. The food was pretty basic and expensive for what it was. The gardens are very pretty and I can see the attraction for a special event in good weather but I wouldn't recommend staying overnight here.

Really nice hotel, nice village just up the road and clean and comfy room. The bar is pretty expensive. The reason I have marked down to a 4 star is such a shame. There wasn't enough toilet roll in the bedroom, so at 8.15am I went to reception to ask for some. I was asked if I could wait as the cleaners weren't in until then (do they not store toilet roll on site!?)! I advised that I could not as we were checking out shortly and was then handed half a roll that was taken out of a small basket with some cleaning products in on the reception counter!

Both my husband and I had an absolutely fabulous 2 night stay 19/20th March ‘23 at the Statham Lodge Hotel, Lymm, Warrington, all the staff could not do enough for you, they were so friendly. We found the beds extremely comfortable which gave us a good nights sleep. Breakfast was thoroughly enjoyable. We will definitely be staying there again when visiting family in Warrington.

Been meaning to do this review for a few weeks now but been abroad so apologies! I stayed at Statham lodge last month for a one night stay due to business in Warrington. First impressions I was very pleasantly impressed I checked in after 6pm after a stressful long day luckily I was greeted by Rosie on reception and she was so nice as I had explained to her I’d had a long day and she informed me about dinner times, where the bar was and actually helped me to my room so a massive thanks to her and thanks for the flavoured tea bags! The restaurant bar was extremely busy for a Tuesday evening but managed extremely well by the 2 young staff and Rosie handled it well and made sure I had a table reserved at the right time and everyone seemed relaxed and content it was a good atmosphere. I decided to have the fish and chips which was lovely followed by the chocolate brownie , both were delicious 😋. I’m due to return to Warrington in April and yes I will be staying at Statham lodge again and would highly recommend.

Went yesterday for afternoon tea, which was a gift from friends for our 30th wedding anniversary. We were really looking do it, as had heard some great comments. Where we were seated was lovely and all the unmatching china was great. Staff were excellent, very helpful and courteous. I ordered a diet coke and my husband had a pot of tea. The sandwiches were not great - not the most tasty but that was possibly because i had a lot of the end pieces and when i opened them, the filling only covered a quarter of the space, so I was basically eating plain bread. The scones were lovely and you got lots of jam and clotted cream, which was great. The cakes were the best of the three afternoon teas we have had so far and they would have got 5 stars. I ordered another small diet coke. However, when we left we checked at the bar to see if we needed to pay for the second coke we were charged for both. A £50 afternoon tea didn't even include a drink for someone who doesn't drink tea and coffee. Unfortunately this and the sandwiches caused us to rate this as 3rd out of the three afternoon teas we have had, (we got 5!).

We have been coming to Statham Lodge for +-3 months. We regularly frequent the Lodge for coffee's and the occasional lunch. The lunch menu is way over priced with the food standard below par of the overall ratings of the Lodge. We were offered a coffee on the house to compensate for the poor excuse of a BLT sandwich we had recently. Staff completely forgot who we are but were quick to charge us for the coffee we thought we had as a token gesture. As their repayment they made us ridiculously hot coffees to burn us!
