I was greeted by a lovely young lady who was incredibly welcoming & so helpful, The room I am sorry to say was ok but the bathroom was very dirty the shower screen was coated in black mould it was very unpleasent it did make my stay dissappointing I was in room 11 downstairs I feel this really must be addressed, I didn't complain at the time as I felt it would upset the young lady who had been so kind. I did find having to ask for a tea tray & kettle etc very odd unless people have been taking them. I did take photos of the shower screen but they are on my phone

You would expect a chair to sit on to work at the desk, not a tall plastic stool. I would expect the room to be cleaned and bed remade each day.The lighting in the room was good and coukd be made very dim at night. I would have expected the receptionist to have told me about the tea and coffee arrangements on arrival.

Pros: Hotel is in a really handy location for getting about in this area. The food shops in the service area were really useful. Price was good for the area - you get what you pay for. Room was very basic, no toiletries, no hairdryer, no cups for tea or coffee - but you can get these at reception on request (although there were no hairdryers when I requested one). Staff were friendly. Parking is free if you input car details on the screen at reception.
Cons: The bathroom was not clean. There was dust in several places, mould on the tiles and shower screen, staining in the toilet, dirt on the floor. I don't mind basic, but the level of cleanliness was not acceptable. It needs more attention to detail and a bit of bleach. Cushion on the fold away bed was stained. The television had basic channels but no subtitles (which I use when I'm watching).

We were so pleasantly surprised with our room, very spacious and extremely clean. Staff have done nothing but go out of their way to help us. Everything you need is right on your doorstep at the services and because it’s such a small services, loud noise isn’t a problem. We’ve decided this will be our annual place to stay for family visits every year as it is so worth it for the money. We expected the worst but it’s no different to a premier inn.

Yes this is Ibis Budget, Budget on price but not on care and attention. My trip to the area was a family visit not without some apprehension at these difficult times, however the Ibis Budget Lymm was prefect for myself and this occasion as this is not a bustling restaurant and bar establishment so social distancing is not a problem. Reception staff very helpful, my simple requests were speedily fulfilled..

We asked for a quiet room, which we got until a big noisy generator kicked in. Room was dirty, floors hadn’t been cleaned and cobwebs hung from the ceiling. The sofa bed was full of stains - grim! We didn’t get much sleep as the mattress was so thin it would have been more comfortable spending the night in our car. A kettle but no cups or teabag/coffee/milk etc. No soap, we had to go and ask for some and there was one small satchet of shower gel and one small satchet of shampoo but three of us. We won’t be staying here ever again.

I arrived at 11.30 pm on my way to London from Edinburgh, hoping to get a room but Catherine, who was on Reception, said that they were short on bed linen due to a staff shortage. She helped me ring around other hotels but we got no answer so she went out of her way to make sure I got a room with clean bed linen as I had a duvet in my car, and she made me two cups of coffee and we had a good chat while sorting it all out. The room was nice and big with great lighting and a great bathroom so I'll be back!

Good wifi friendly service service above and beyond duty fully recommend very much value for money. Great food places around Beds are excellent and good night sleep . Shower excellent bath good and cold good heater ro warm up the place.

The bed was like sleeping on a hard floor. Considering other services hotels in the same area provide a reasonable bed I'm not sure why this hotel has a mattress about a cm thick. The floor was wooden the room was totally sparse and only had a small electric heater. Quite loud from traffic outside and not the cleanest room. Needs some attention with damp damaged bathroom surrounds. I would not stay again. Other hotels of the same price range nearby offer a better nights sleep. On the plus side easily reached just off the motorway and next to the services with all he food and drinks options.
