Detailed Reviews
The Basic Hotel With Excellent Strategic Location!!! Room 311
It’s a 2 star hotel with basic amenities. You cannot complain as you get what you pay for. The Verandah Cafe is superb. Breakfast was simple.
Pros :-
Friendly staffs. One of the budget hotel where the rooms are good. Be prepared to hear loud music as some pubs or bar are nearby. But the noise is still bearable though.
The toilet are basic. They provide simple shampoo & body soap. You need request for toothbrush, shaver at the reception.
1) Clean rooms - 1 Queen Bed & 1 Single Bed
2) Friendly staffs at reception & The Verandah Cafe.
3) Many shops nearby.
4) Laundrette service are just in front of the hotel. Cheap & good.
5) Massage shops are just beside the hotel.
6) Receptionist Pek was excellent in her service. Never fail to smile & she was very informative when enquire.
7) There is a travel package in front of the hotel lobby, manned by a lady. You may book here as she will diligently explained you the itinerary. Cheap & good.
Cons :-
Thin walls as you can hear music from nearby pubs/clubs.
Avoid December if you can as the hotel can be overbooked. Check in was supposed to be at 2pm but we only manage to get our family room (3 bedded) at 3.30pm. But it’s ok. You may keep your luggages or bags at the reception and visit nearby shops. There is a 7-eleven about 20 metres from hotel. No smoking in the rooms where you may be fine 2000 baht if they discover you smoke in the room.
Conclusion :-
Good hotel with the basic needs provided. Clean and good with the amount of money you pay for. You may stay here if you only need a place to sleep & keep your luggages while you walk around the Ao Nang area.
If you have a tight budget & if you need a family room (Max 4 person), you may book this hotel & the family room.

All in all, the Verandah was a lovely little no-frills hotel in an unbeatable location, only a few hundred meters from the beach! The breakfast is offered in another hotel which is a 2min walk right next door. The ladies at the reception were truly lovely and very helpful, especially Bea (loved her!).
There were a few issues: due to its location, there's a club / bar nearby and the music is quite loud at night (and it does go on for some time)... so light sleepers, beware. The room did have a bit of an unusual odour. Very time we arrived back at our room, we were forced to open the door to the balcony to get some fresh air as it smelled (every time) like the room had been shut for months.
Another small inconvenience, which seemed to be the norm in Ao Nang, was if you wanted to pay anything by card, there would be a 2-3% surcharge on top of the final price... didn't experience this anywhere else in Thailand.
As I mentioned, overall this was a little gem due to its value. I would consider staying here again in the future as I would be more prepared.

Excellent staff, always ready to help, and most importantly, smiling and friendly. We were there for a week and every employee was very friendly!
The rooms are very cozy, comfortable beds, everything is there, the shower has soap, shower gel and shampoo, towels for both face and bath.
Very good prices for excursions, like on klook, sometimes cheaper. The employees showed, told, and advised everything. Although we had our own travel plan, we adjusted it a little, because... we were recommended a great tour that we didn't know about.
On the first day we were checked into room 403, which overlooked the bar and it was very noisy until 2 am, but they changed our room to 310 and everything was perfect!)

Do not get a hotel here! Came here with my family of six, was promised a larger set of rooms which weren’t adjoining. Apparently they don’t have rooms like that here. They advertise the hotel, at least queen size bed, the beds are twin sized… if you like, living on the strip in the middle of the night hearing loud music blasting all night long than this is the place for you, otherwise, I would steer clear of this establishment.
After a whopping $1800 for six nights, and extremely old advertising photos on the Internet, I feel completely flabbergasted.
The plugs spark when you plug something in, the shower only has half of a glass enclosure, and the floor floods when you take a shower due to insufficient drainage.
This is our first night here and we are going to leave tomorrow. I can’t believe they would charge this much for a place like this, and advertise false advertisement, the way they do on the Internet.

Wonderful place! SENSATIONAL TEAM. Bee (concierge) was always very attentive and caring. We love her.
Breakfast varied and very good! Great for all audiences. I'm allergic and there were always great options (that I usually have trouble finding).
Great and clean room and bathroom. Good wifi. Access to the pool and gym was also positive.

This hotel was ideal for my friend and I who stayed in Ao Nang for 9 days. The staff were incredibly accommodating and generous - any time we needed anything it was done immediately and they went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The location is perfect as it is a 3min walk from the beach and on the main road where all the shops etc are in Ao Nang. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the pool we had access to was dreamy. 10/10!

This hotel has nice rooms and an amazingly friendly staff and has the perfect location in Ao Nang. All this for a reasonable price, which is not often the case anymore in Ao Nang.
They have their own agency for booking tours and transport to other parts of Thailand which makes sure that everything is well coordinated between the hotel and the transport companies.
All in all a place I will certainly come back to when I’m in Ao Nang again.

A nice, large room, the decision of the hotel owners with a safe at chest level pleased, did not have to bend down. The balcony dryer helped a lot. Breakfast on the menu. First time they didn't calculate and made marks in every position, barely finished. Never mind the extras that come with a basket of muffins, toast, butter, jam and a plate of fruit. There's a big massage parlor across the street. Every night they massaged her. The hotel staff is very pleasant and friendly. Booked airport transfers. The only downside is the noise of music from a bar nearby.

Really enjoyed our stay at the verandah. Staff were very friendly and helpful both on arrival and in checking out. We had a transfer booked from the hotel to catch a ferry for our next stay, and when they were 5 mins late the lady on the front desk went out of her way to contact the provider to ensure they had not forgotten us - which was much appreciated!
Room was spacious and very comfortable.
The only downside was the noise levels from the street over. Very loud late into night.

This was our first time returning to Thailand after covid, and it definitely did not disappoint. We decided to return to The Verandah Ao Nang, Krabi, because we had a wonderful stay last time, who knew it would be better than ever. Bee, who is a manager at The Verandah, welcomed us back with open arms, and with the biggest smile, her hospitality is second to none, Bee is exceptional at her job. Always there with her local information and great recommendations. Thank you, Bee 🙏 The Verandah is clean, comfortable and close to everything. Breakfast is good with a choice of hot and cold food. The beach is a short walk away, depending on your pace, this place is so relaxed, you walk slower 😆 Just a little advice, as this is a 2 star hotel, soundproofing is not on the list, so bring some some earplugs 🤪 The beds are so comfortable, beach towels are supplied at reception and best of all, you can use the pools and gym at the sister hotel, Peace Laguna! Just one minute walk away. We will definitely be returning to The Verandah Ao Nang, miss it already 😁 Thanks again, Bee ❤️

We never got to use the pool - it was absolutely rammed with people every time we tried!
No, I don’t think they serve halal bteakfast, and I don’t think they have 24/7 roomservice. You should contact and ask the hotel, they will answer you.
I don’t know !! We were just two persons ... try to ask them.
You just need to walk to Aonang beach, a 5 minute walk down the Main Street. There is a ticket booth on the corner to buy long boat tickets and the boats go right from the beach.
you may talk to front counter, if not crowded they will allowed to extend an hour
