We are three girls traveling in Asia, when we arrived we were happly surprised about the kindness of the front desk staff, one of us got sick for 3 days and they were really helpful giving her bread and assistence. Unfortunately what in the beginning seemed to be it wasn’t in the end: the housekeepers stole money from our room day by day for a total of 50€, the money where hidden in a small bag under the clothets in our backpacks, closed as weel. It is obvious that they had opened our bags looking for money. When we went to tell it to the front desk staff they weren’t surprised as this happened in this month 4 times already (but of course nobody told us when we arrived) but in the same time they told us that NOBODY can enter in the rooms (TOTALY WRONG BECAUSE EVERYONE FROM THE STAFF CAN ENTER IN EVERY ROOM). But the worst thing was that when we asked to speak face to face with the menager about this they told us that he lives in Krabi ( only 20 minutes aways by car) and for this reason he wasn’t coming. Obviously we insisted, telling them that it was unacettable that someone from the staff is stealing money from thr rooms and nobody is giving a damn about it! To keep us quiet they told us that he was coming but guess what?? HE NEVER COME. They left us without help and support and as we booked this hotel by booking we decided to inform the web site about it. NEVER AGAIN IN THIS HOTEL! So be careful they seems all nice and kind but in the end they are thieves.

We stayed there 6 night totally, but it was mistake ! Probably housekeepers have stolen money from our backpacks (front desk clerk said that no any person had access to our room) . They have stolen 400€ totally !!! The front clerk manager wanted call a police just for taking fingerprints, but we had not extra days to stay longer in Krabi so we left, but we found out that some tourists also had the same situation before (somebody has stolen money from hotel room)!!! It is unbelievable! If you want to stay there, just use the safelocker and nothing expensive leave there or choose another hotel. For us it was the worst experience in Thailand and hotel too!

Someone from the staff stole our money. We stayed (me and my 2 friends) there for 6 nights, it was clean and nice, but it is not excuse to steal about 400€. They were sneaking in our personal things. Trying not to reveal themselves they put instead of 100€ paper 20THB or instead of 100€ they left in the bag only 20€. We admit that our fault was not putting money into safebox, so if you stay there, Do Not Make The Same Mistake or even better, do not stay there! Receptionist wanted to call the police, but it was last day before leaving Krabi, so we consider it as completely useless. Probably it was one of the housekeeper, maybe both.

The building is not finished and it is working continually ,the night and day ,is an infernal noise all the time. Girls at reception not helpful att all ,did not even come to show me the room. Work continuously and hit whit the hammer and the machine. In front of the balcony there are scaffolding you can not leave anything on the balcony because it gets dirty with building materials.

We were asked to pay in advance and we knew why once we reached the room. It was a very loud construction site within touching distance of the balcony. I had earplugs and could still hear it - it was really bad. They also cancelled our stay when we checked out so we could not leave a review. Very poor - the location is further off track - and the staff were not helpful. For the price I recommend looking elsewhere! The hotel is on this block in the picture attached, and behind is the construction site - hammering drills etc - and the hotel staff told us the back room were the quietest rooms...

Great hotel, great staff and super friendly.... greeted with 2 glasses of cold water on arrival and a porter took our bags to our room. Huge room, nice balcony, big bed and walk in shower, played a couple of games of pool and persuaded the reception staff to play with us, they were so friendly! Helped us to hire scooters, laundry, helped with directions and advice on where to go. We were able to check in early which really helped and check out late which meant we could visit the tiger cave temple in the morning and have a shower before leaving for Koh Lanta. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Ao Nang! Stayed for 3 nights in total and the location is great, 10minute walk to the beach and long boats past some of the best rated restaurants and bars in town. We didn’t want anywhere on the main strip so this was perfect, not too far away but quiet to sleep!

If you are looking for a place to sleep and do not mind having serious difficulties being able to have a basic conversation with the staff, then you might not mind this hotel. The rooms are clean and look brand new. Book the rooms with a mountain view as they are on the other side of the building from a construction site. The hotel has a great potential to be a cosy, nice budget place but then you interact withe some of the staff members. That’s when things get interesting... Firstly, in a hotel that constantly receives international guests, some of the staff members barely understand english and have serious difficulties in speaking it. Secondly, they seem bothered each time we asked them a question and were visibly acting like we’re keeping them from some good time spent on the phone, which they were doing constantly. A number of times there was NO ONE at the reception...which is scary. We were shouting hello in the hall way and after a few minutes, someone popped up. The entrance has the atmosphere of an abandoned place, no lights in the back of the room, you never see other guests...when you add the lack of staff, the picture is complete. When coming down for breakfast (open until 10am), when we arrived at 9:40 one of the staff members looked at her watch, clearly showed that we were bothering her and then went to prepare our breakfast. Another day we arrived at 10am for breakfast (our fault) and it was quite a challenge to still get food. If you order a breakfast box, make sure it is written down as we asked 2 different staff members the day before and the next day, a 3rd told us she did not know anything about it. We still got our money back for breakfast, in all fairness. It was quite a disappointing experience, especially as the place really has potential! I’m not only writing this for future travelers but also for the hotel management as with a few trainings and changes, this could really be a nice place to stay!

Very expensive for what you get and about 20 minutes walk to the beach. The rooms were big, clean and comfortable but the bathroom smelt so bad!! I saw other reviews of this bad bathroom smell yet nothing has been done about it. We had breakfast included which was a bad idea!! The milk was sour for four days in a row! The coffee was always cold. Ordered a fruit salad and when it came it was a bowl of tomatoes, apples, yoghurt and cornflakes!:( this was very disappointing for a 3 Star hotel and for the price. Definitely will never ever stay there again! The staff were friendly I guess but found it hard to communicate with them.

The only good thing is the big, clean, modern room. The bathroom had a horrible drain smell, even the bedroom had a bad sleek one day. They say the lift is being fixed but I do not even think their is an actual lift or they not doing anything to fix it. The breakfast is not good and not worth it at all( I had it for four days). The receptionists except for 1/3 can sort of speak English. I will never stay here again or recommend it to a friend.

I recently stayed at Sky Beach Hotel for 5 nights. Upon arrival the young gentleman at the front desk greeted me with a friendly face and great attitude. He immediately offered to upgrade me to a sea view. Being a solo traveller I thought that was very nice of him as there are people that pay a higer amount specifically to have a sea view. After paying and checking in he carried my bags up to the 3rd floor as the elevator was under construction. The room was neat, clean and modern. I had no complaints untill a few things started falling apart. First thing I noticed was the balcony. My sea view was hindered by 2 massive constructiin sites which will in the next couple of months eliminate all chances of a sea view. In the far distance on the horizon is a glimpse of an ocean line. I accepted that "its ok I didnt pay for a sea view anyway" just go with it. I then went to take a shower.. the shower nossle is attached to a hose for comfort of washing yourself more easily and if wanted you could attach it back to the normal shower position if you choose to do so. My shower bracket was broken so I had to use the hose function.. again a minor thing. Still happy and excited to go and explore Krabi. After a night out getting dinner I headed back to the Hotel which is a 1.1 mile walk. Fairly close to the beach and the main area. I woke up the morning at 06:30 with what sounded like someone banging on my wall. I got up and realised..the construction workers had started their day. This is 2 meters away from my balcony. Hammering and angle grinding for 13h straight. They finish at 8 p.m at night and then start again at the crack of dawn. This is extremely frustrating and disappointing. I rented a motorcycle with the help of the front desk and was scared that, had I complained it might result in bad vibes and maybe a penalty wrt the motorcycle hire as its a very common occurrence in Thailand. I know this is silly but I didnt want to take the risk and wanted to stay off the gridd. I regret it now. This construction carried on for all 5 days and was a terrible experience. Other than that the hotel is well kept and organised. Future guests should avoid the Higher sea view price as soon there won't be any view to speak of and the construction will keep you awake. The price per room is extremely fair for what you get ...minus the lack of sleep.
