Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Great location on Ao Nang beach with the beach literally across the street. On the beach you will have access to all of the long boats and local ferry boats for day trips and traveling between islands and other local beaches that you might want to visit during your stay. Also, there were many bars, clubs, and restaurants and plenty of shopping within easy walking distance. We enjoyed staying at this hotel and relaxing in the large pools, sitting on the balconies to look at the ocean or sunset, etc. Our room was modern and very clean, with a large and comfortable bed, and a large bathroom. The housekeeping staff was excellent. Bottled water, coffee and pool/beach towels provided in our room were complimentary. There was a small mini bar fridge in our room with sodas and beer which were very reasonably priced. The staff was very nice and helpful, although the pool staff could have done a better job keeping the debris out of the pools (the only negative thing about this hotel!) The breakfast bar was fairly good with multiple western and asian food choices, a great coffee machine, and an omelet/pancake station. The breakfast bar was included in the price of the room, and it added significant value to the already low price of the room, since the restaurants in the Ao Nang beach area are a little overpriced (as expected for a tourist town). All of the guests that we talked to during our stay were very happy with the hotel, the price, and the amenities. We will stay here again!

This was our second time staying at this amazing resort over the Christmas break, the airport pick up they offer and check in were a breeze. The resort sits opposite the beach with minimarts,money exchanges and restaurants close by. The resort itself is modern with large airy rooms, it has two swimming pools with a bar and a restaurant on the main road which we ate at several times during our stay. Michel the GM and all of staff make you feel very welcome and help with any request you may have. A special thank you to our house keeper Chadarat who is very friendly and the room(lite room with balcony) was cleaned thoroughly every day and not just a quick once over as you may get at other hotels. The resort only has app 50 rooms which makes it feel intimate which you may not get at larger resorts, we found it very family and couples friendly and as we are in our 60's it really suits us. We are already planning a trip back to the L in August and looking to book the larger sea view suite which Michel was kind enough to show us during our trip. if you are looking for an excellent resort for a family or couples holiday we highly recommend that you have a close look at their web site as what you see is exactly what you get, Brilliant. We stayed for 7 days and really enjoyed our stay. Despite being directly opposite the beach and on the main drag, as soon as you walk through reception the atmosphere is very calm. The pool area is very laid back and very relaxing, with plenty of loungers in and out of the sun. Our room was very clean and reasonably comfortable, with a great balcony. Only occasionally did we hear the noise and music from the street,so we slept really well. The breakfast was lovely, constantly changing every morning, with a choices of Thai and European food.. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and the food was excellent; there were a couple of Swiss/ German items on the menu, which were equally as good as the Thai options- we were given a couple of discount vouchers which made the food exceptional good value. We'll stay again. Thanks!

The L resort in right opposite thge beach and in the centre of Ao Nang, however when you walk into the hotel it is very calm, modern, clean and welcoming. We booked a deluxe double room with pool view and we were not disappointed. Our room was spacious, bright, airy and modern with a large balcony and a free safety deposit box. Bathroom was spacious with a large walk in shower, all toiletries provided and replenished without asking. We had a Nespresso coffee maker in our room with complementary capsules, replenished everyday. Dressing gown, slippers and pool towels also provided. We booked through Agoda and got a free breakfast at Wanna's place attached to the hotel, which was excellent. Michel, the manager/owner was very friendly, helpful, and spoke quite a few different languages, nothing was too much trouble. All staff were friendly and helpful. There is a great large rest room with a shower, 2 sofas and a TV for travellers who arrive before check in (and their room isn't ready) or for use after check out, very handy. The only downside was the very noisy night club next door which went on until about 2am, however I would definately stay her again depite this. Many thanks Michel for a great stay in Krabi.

Currently on our last night of a 4 night stay and yet again The L Resort lived up to all expectations. Arrived at 10:30am and warmly greeted. We were then shown to the day room for guests as check in is 2pm. This gave us the opportunity to freshen up and use the hotel facilities after a 30 hour trip. They then managed to prepare our room early which I have to say is beautifully presented with the added benefit of a coffee machine, super comfy bed and a wonderful balcony. The hotel is further complimented by two things important to us, staff and location of which both excelled. From reception to breakfast staff to pool staff all greet you with a big smile and always polite. As for the location, this has to be the best location in Ao Nang. Walk out of the hotel and you are straight on to the beach, ideally located for shops and restaurants and out of the hotel and straight on to the long boats which we used to visit Railay on a daily basis.
In summary, super location, excellent staff and comfortable accommodation.

Clean resort, great location to be in the middle of it all in Ao Nang and close to the longboats to Railay beach and elsewhere (but be aware it's a super touristy location as well so expect some noise in the evenings bu tit never prevented me from getting a good night's sleep). I booked the L because it was one of the most affordable resorts closest to the beach. Clean and convenient and staff was very helpful! The rooms are maybe trying a bit too hard to be "modern;" ie - mostly all white with some purple accents and not a lot of character bit well worth it for the price. The pool also closes early (at 7) so that was the only thing I disliked.

Good service, clean rooms, fantastic location and service minded staff. What more can you ask for ?. Me and my wife , daughter and son stayed here for a couple of nights in feb 2020 after recommendation from from other friends of mine , and it absolutely lived up to the expectations when you take the price into consideration. I booked our hotel through Agoda. Although we not get the room Agoda had promoted for the price, Michel made every effort to accommodate my Big kids and I. Our sleeping arrangements were comfortable as was our room. The daily buffet breakfast was delicious, the staff kind and courteous, and we were just steps away from the beach ( not ideal for swimming) for sunset and for taking a long tail boat to visit other beaches within the area. Highly recommend!!

We stayed in a family quad room for 6 nights and could not have been happier and I found it terrific value for money. A large room with seperate bedroom and a small kitchenette.
The hotel looks to have been well maintained through the Covid period (unlike some other hotels in the area).
Our room was elevated and faced the beach and was impeccably clean and well serviced each day (with an option to not replace towels and linen each day if you want to do your part for sustainability etc).
Our hard-to-please teenagers (17 and 15) seemed quite at home also, but the bunks for them were a little on the small side (especially for the 17 year old) but still perfectly ok for a good night sleep. Check in and check out were seamless and the guest relations staff welcoming and friendly.
I can’t believe some of the whiners on this site bagging the breakfast because it’s a perfectly acceptable buffet with heaps of fresh fruit, a variety of juices, cereals/muesli, hot foods (both Thai and European oriented), eggs (cooked to order) and baked goods on offer.
The pool area could use a few more chairs but was impeccably clean also.
The location is excellent and although there are some pubs and clubs nearby, there was no noise in the rooms.

It on the main road into town. Perfect for us. Well within walking distance of everything. Laundry next door and lovely restaurants within 2 mins. Housekeeping staff were great and cleaned the room while at breakfast. During the day the hotel was calm, quiet and we enjoyed the peace and tranquility the hotel provided. Must have the small panna cotta at breakfast, it is to die for. Breakfast, although it was very good, many times you had to ask for more cups, bread, cheeses, hot water for tea . The manager was wonderful, went above the call and helped us out with the computer and sun hat Bad point, and not the hotels fault, after 10pm while sitting outside, having the last drink the music? From down the road is loud.
