A classy resort near enough to the fun but far enough to be in its own little world

Our stay at Ban Sainai started off with a lovely little welcome drink (butterfly pea flower tea) and an ice cold towel which was much appreciated! We were then whisked to our room along with our cases in a club car. The room was spacious and the large balcony had a lovely view of the amazing grounds. The infinity-style pool had a fair number of sun beds available, plus a little snack bar serving a small selection of hot food and soft drinks (note: this is an alcohol- (and pork)- free resort). There is a 7 Eleven at the end of the street and a Tesco Lotus up the hill about a ten minute walk (or a two minute, 150-200 thb Tuktuk round trip! Haggle!!) away if you want to get some booze for your room/balcony (this is perfectly acceptable). At the end of the resort driveway there is a pizza place (recommended) and a couple of Indian restaurants (didn’t try them). At the end of that street there is a smoothie-shack (recommended) and then basically you are spoilt for food choices. Turning right up the hill towards the Lotus there are a few eateries and bars, but turning left seems to be where it’s all at; loads of places to eat and drink. It can appear to be a little tacky depending on your perspective but we had a fun time. Prepare to be shaken down by the Tuktuk drivers, get your best haggling head on!…

Excellent resort

Very kind and helpful personnel. Good swimming pool. Excellent breakfast. Nice view and quiet place. Shuttle to Ao Nang was handy.

Incredible place and staff

This is an incredible place to stay. The bungalows are beautiful and spacious (we stayed in the family one as we were 3 people). Really large bathrooms and bedrooms. When you arrive you are given some fresh fruit and dried banana as a welcome snack. Not to mention water is provided every day! The location is as if you are staying in the jungle - you get to see lots of cool animals like comodo dragons!! But you are still in the comfort of an amazing hotel. The breakfast is incredible. The view from the pool is beautiful and the pool is super clean. Lastly the staff are so wonderful, friendly, helpful and kind and made this experience top tier.

A Tropical Paradise

The Ban Sainai resort is like a tropical paradise. The grounds were amazing, and every room was a separate bungalow. We stayed in a room the looked out over the lake, and all rooms were very private. I enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and watching the wildlife around the lake. The breakfasts were wonderful with all types of food. We walked to and from the Ao Nang beach a few times, but most often we would take the shuttle provided by the hotel. The pool was fantastic and provided a great place to unwind at the end of the day. I would encourage anyone to stay at the Ban Sainai resort

Brilliant resort. Will visit again.

It's a bit late to write the review but still I will write it, as the hotel experience was so good. We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in 'The coconut cottage' in Dec-2022 and the experience was great. The location is slightly far from the main centre but they have free shuttle service ( the walk is 20-25 mins but its comfortable). Comfortable rooms with all the modern amenities and luxuries. From bathtub to hammock to swimming pool, ask anything and you have it. The breakfast spread was huge and yummy. All the tour pick-up starts at 8 AM hence the they provide breakfast also very early. The staff at the reception were helpful and extremely friendly. i will recommend this hotel to every traveller, heading to Krabi.

The great experience

the room condition was so nice and beautiful and all staffs were very kind I love all of this resort for example the garden, bathtub,hammock, swimming pool and so on. Also this resort is eco-friendly.

Magical place

Magical place !! Amaizing views, very comfortable bedroom, nice staff always helpful and with a smile, you can even order a meal to your room and they bring eat. Everything was superb . Nothing to deslike.

If you would like peace and good service I recommended

Good atmosphere, suitable for relaxation. The room is very clean. Very good service Even the gardeners have great hospitality. It's the first time we come to Krabi. even in the rainy season So we rarely go out together. But hotels are able to make us comfortable, peaceful and delicious. We are very impressed with the service of the staff. Next time we come in summer, I think it will be very fun.

Fantastic resort!

We, family of 4, stayed in this resort for 5 nights. Resort is very good. The staff is very friendly and shows great service level. The resort property is well looked after and beautifully landscaped. Restaurant and menu options are ok for a full day at the resort. We booked two cabins with lake view. Nature at your door step! The cabins are simply spotless, have a fully equipped bath room, very good airco, a beautiful terrace and excellent beds! Resort is located at a quiet part of Au Nang. No noice from streets which are a 5-10 minute walk away only. Highly recommended!

Beautiful view and cozy cottage.

Had a lovely time here with my boyfriend, the location was truly amazing and the view from our room was beautiful. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly, comfy beds, cute cottage and great breakfast. If you are looking for a more chill place to stay in krabi i would definitely recommend you choose Ban Sainai. If you are worried it’s too far from the beach or the town centre don’t worry, there is a shuttle bus (free of charge) from the resort to ao nang beach every hour throughout the day and also a return bus from the beach to the resort. Really great and chilled resort with incredible views!
