My wife and I stayed a fortnight in one of the renovated superior rooms which are pretty large, 50 square meters. The resort have rooms with balconies in building blocks as well as bungalows...all located in beautiful, lush and well kept surroundings with pools and small canals.

The location of this resort is perfect, close to the main street and its fun and at the same time secluded in a side street from the noise of the main street.

The morning buffet is nice and has everything that one's heart desires.

The staff at the reception is very helpful and forthcoming, and has a tour counter that can arrange excursions for you. As a matter of fact all staff in the resort are very obliging and will meet you with respect and a smile.

Stay away from room 2108. We arrived after commuting multiple hours to a dark, damp, mildew / mould smell in the room that got quite nauseating as you entered the bathroom - dark, with little ventilation. Nearly no pressure in the shower. You cannot flush toilet paper (in any toilet in the resort) so you need to wrap it and place in an uncovered waste paper basket.
Needless to say I was quite unhappy and complained to reception. They could not help me without asking the manager and told us to stay the night and come back to reception in the morning.
8am following morning, the manager, Anna, was helpful and upgraded us to room 6301. Lovely light, wonderful view of the cliffs, palm trees swaying in the breeze. Unfortunately the cupboard door fell off the hinge after the first night and there were red ants in the room crawling into the bed but at least no smell.
Resort grounds are amongst the best I've ever seen. Huge iguana / lizards walking and swimming in the laguna, butterflies everywhere, tiny flying lizards, squirrels, fish in the laguna and in the ponds. The grounds truly made up for the poor first impression.
Vegans, beware. There is only salad, fruit and cereals for breakfast. No hot vegan meals, no nuts, no nut butters, no plant milks / yogurts to have the cereals or fot the coffee / tea. The manager, Anna, and also the staff did not know what vegan means and so after googling it, the kitchen staff prepared some rice & veggies the next day - which was very kind.
I would say the resort is 3* at the MOST - the grounds are so MAGICAL and constitute 1 star itself. I would not stay here again but thank you so much, Peace Laguna team, for helping us.

We were first warmly welcomed and explained by front desk staff the layout and timings for the resort. We’d were even invited to the daily tea and coffee hour hosted by the hotel for all guests everyday.

We were then escorted by buggy to our rooms and explained the layout of our room and all its amenities.

The room has every single essential plus more - a beach bag with a beach towel, recommended for going out and shopping etc.

Room service is also available until late with a nice range of food.

The bathroom has a jacuzzi, hairdryer and bidet and leads to an outdoor shower.

The room has AC and a fan, TV and coffee machine in the tea station.

The mini veranda has two beach chairs to lie down on and watch the beautiful view of the luscious green lagoon, palm trees and the incredible mountain.

The location and views in the resort are just unbelievable. The wildlife is also stunning! Very different to watch is usually back in England, so it’s nice to hear and see these unique animals.

All the staff have been so kind and accommodating, the front desk manager, Annie, personally helped us call many companies for many bookings and queries ☺️ She suggested the best way to plan our days to save us time and money, so I would recommend talking with your hotel staff before directly booking with any companies.

Overall, our stay has been wonderful. There’s natural beauty everywhere your turn, and lovely staff to support you whenever you need.

I will always recommend this resort! It’s an unmissable stay!

This resort consists of many bungalows and some rooms in the main building, set in a lush and extremely spacious garden with a lake and 2 swimming pools. Although situated right in the center of Ao Nang and very close to the beach the place has a very quiet and relaxed athmosphere. The cottages are huge, well lit, great bathroom with a large bath and separate outdoor shower. The bed was great too. The room comes with coffee/ tea making facilities, bathrobes, a minibar with very reasonable prices. The outdoor sitting area was roomy and nice too. But most of all the people running the resort were really nice. All guests received a lot of personal attention. From the first day on people at reception knew exactly which bungalow we were in, if we had gone on an excursion etc. They we extremeky helpful with booking tours etc.
We extended our stay twice and will return there for the last night of our holiday, since it is also strategically located for Krabi airport.

It is a nice hotel, quiet, with a lot of greenery and a very friendly staff. We arrived at the hotel at 8:30 in the morning and although the check in was at 14:00 they gave us the room faster, at 11:00 and also breakfast, although it was not to be included on the first day.
The food and drinks are good, the room is very spacious, with a large balcony and bathroom with dush and separate bath (we have superior room)
It is located near the beach, a few minutes walk, surrounded by terraces, shops and many points from where you can buy different trips
The only minus would be some details that should be changed in the room, such as: hinges on the door to the bathroom, the battery of the sink
Family with a 4 year old child

The public areas of the hotel were good but the service and rooms were poor. Unusually for Thailand there was no welcome drink on arrival and that set the tone for the stay. We were taken to the room by a staff member and he had been given the wrong key, he borrowed a master key from the cleaning staff and let us into the room and we found the room was a double (we had booked twin beds 10 months ago), the safe didn't work. He rang reception but they said they didn't have a twin room (were all the twin rooms booked more than 10 months ago or were the staff incmpetent/not bother to check what had been booked?). He then went off and left us in the room for 5 mins to get the proper key and batteries for the safe. After 45 mins of being stuck in the room waiting for him to come back I rang reception and was told he was on his way, it was more than 30 mins later before he arrived. He had a key that worked and a new safe (not just batteries for the existing one). Someone clearly new that the ssafe was broken and didn't just have flat batteries, why didn't they change it if they knew it was faulty? We then went down to the pool for a swim and there were no pool towels there, we asked for some and got a shrug and "They are all in the wash". I had to demand a couple of white room towels as he was totally uninterested in finding a solution. This is the only place in Thailand we have stayed at where people feel the need to put towels on sunbeds before breakfast. The staff attitude was variable, some were as friendly as you would expect in Thailand others ignored you as you walked around (no greeting from hotel staff is very unlike Thailand). On check out they asked us to wait while they checked the room, which does happen in so,me hotels but in this hotel they asked us to sit down and wait and then didn't bother to come and tell us that the room had been checked, I had to go back up to the desk and ask what was going on and what the delay was.
On the positive side, breakfast was good.
This could be a good hotel but it is clearly let down by poor management leading to variable staff performance and poor maintenance.

Very quaint Hotel with super-friendy staff at the Lobby and at the breakfast. The room service is very reliable. If you plan holiday in Ao Nang the Peace Laguna Resort is recommended. The Hotel is in the near to the town to supermarkets, restaurants, bars and massage studios.
Non-Smokers will not disturbed here but smokers can smoke in seperate smoking areas.

We had spent considerable time reviewing hotels, resorts etc in the Ao Nang area and finally settled on the Peace Laguna. Other reviews were primarily positive (a review is always a personal snapshot), the photos were lovely and the distance to the beach more than doable.
Arrived in the evening, sweltering hot, swiftly checked in by K. Wat (more of him later) and shown to out cottage. Alas, the AirCo had not been switched on so it was like an oven. ok, can happen. Took the airco and fan until well into the night to cool the cottage. Cottage was fine, some maintenance was required (incl the airco, brokedown 5 times), but the outside shower, bathroom, fridge, coffee/teas facilities were all fine. Inhouse entertainment is practically non-existent. All news/thai channels. 1 English movie-channel showing nothing but tennis. WiFi is Great, both 2.4 and 5ghz so bring your own Netflex/Amazon. Not sure if the offered tv was digital bit didn't look like it. Resort has 3 pools, onsite Spa, excellent bar, great team on housekeeping, F&B and the frontdesk. K. Wat excels here, going above and beyond to organize things, answer questions etc. nothing to difficult even when he was not working!
Breakfast was great, wide selection of international and local dishes, juices, fruits, eggstation, everything you could ask for. afternoon tea at 4 included, various happy-hour offers, touristinfo etc, etc. The peace and quite is quite startling if you think that not 200m up the road Ao Nang's mainstreet is a cacophony of noise, action, sounds and smells. quite amazing

But......as stated, maintenance is required. the pools, the ladders in/out water, the gate between the adult/kiddies pool needs immediate repairs. one corners has rusted through and if anyone falls on those exposed bolts....shudder to think.

Altogether and everything considered, a great deal.Would we return? For sure!

Again, thanks K. Wat and the entire team

Stayed for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon trip. Upon check in, they kindly upgraded us from the standard room we booked to a superior room.
The superior room is huge! Massive bed, bathroom and space. Very pleased.
Free breakfast buffet was varied and fresh.
The staff took my Thai translated allergy card seriously and made me delicious Thai meals that had no gluten, dairy, soy sauce or oyster sauce. The food was really good.
Saw a sign for a free 15 min massage each but didn't get time to redeem it.

This was our second time staying at the Peace Laguna Resort and we love it! The complex is very centrally located and you only have to walk a few meters to the numerous restaurants, 7 Eleven and supermarkets. The beach is around the corner, as is a night market, which is easy to reach on foot. The complex is perfect for relaxing and escaping the hustle and bustle of the street. With three pool complexes, it is spread out and you can get a lounger at any time of day and swim in the pool undisturbed. The toddler area in particular was not very busy and was super pleasant! The rooms and cottages are lovingly and simply furnished. You have everything you need and if you have any wishes, the hotel staff will help you immediately. The staff are incredibly hard-working, helpful and friendly! We were helped immediately when we asked to book some excursions and ferries. Even when our daughter fell ill, she was immediately given a fresh rice soup cooked for her and brought to our room. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired and you get everything your heart desires. From hot meals to desserts and cereals, fruit, salads, etc.
The overall package is definitely right and we can recommend Peace Laguna 100%!!!

Hi! The superiour room is one big room, so no separation between bed and livingroom area. The best thing to do is probably to contact the reception/front desk. They can probably provide you with answers.
