Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Personally i dislike hostels! only done them once and this was about the 2nd time doing one! The staff only 2 persons i met during my 2 night stay, where friendly and helpful, laundry service was easy and fast. I stayed in a 4 bed dormitory, only had 2 roommates so that made it pretty well. we hardly crossed paths, and each bed comes with a privacy curtain, nightlight and a small shelf in addition to a power outlet! the restrooms are kept well and clean at all times!
Short walking distance to most and all shops, restaurants and beach.. some temples and other sights where easy accessible by motorbike or taxi.
I prefer a hotel over a hostel, but if i had to stay to here i would sure do it again!

superb location; clean comfort room, Individual bathroom and toilets available for more privacy. Aonang beach is 5mins walk, Tailboat operators for island hopping available at beach. Walking street right outside the hostel, money changer, atm, convenient stores, eateries n bars are just round be corner. Rate at 500baht per bed, we stayed in a bedroom for 4; group of 4pax can request for this room type for more privacy n fun staying together. Bunk bed with curtains n power point, lockers included.

When you go to Krabi, one thing on top of your head is -- beach. And if you are a backpacker, anything cheap. iDeal Beds gets you the best bargain with a location very close to the beach. I was literally half-asleep while talking a short walk to the beach then continues my sleep when i hit the sand. The place looks properly maintained since everything looks clean and new. The rooms and sheets are well-cleaned and I personally like how the lockers are placed in one corner of the room instead of under the bed.

I originally booked in for 5 nights and paid in full on arrival. The dorm was clean and well equipped however the washrooms were disgusting. They smelt, weren't kept clean and the shower floors felt full of slime as if they'd never been cleaned. The toilets are in the same room as the shower which probably caused the smell. Adding to that I had a very unpleasant room mate and on speaking to the owner the next morning about my concerns he point blank refused a refund of the remaining four nights that I had booked, even though I'd been there for less than 24 hours. I wasn't prepared to stay any longer than I needed to so I checked out and booked into a cleaner, safer, friendlier hostel just 15 minutes away. A very unpleasant experience and complete lack of understanding or care by the owners, I definitely wouldn't recommend this place.

Looking from the photos it's seem everything perfectly! Even after check in, the room is more space, with air conditioning is definitely good as well as they didn't control the timing, as long as you're in the room, you can always let it on. However, the first night, I've encountered the bed bugs experience, this is very bad! First of all, I thought it might be mosquito, but it's continuously bitting me at the same area and it does really itchy after scratching even more!! I told the reception next morning and they changed the blanket only for me. When we told about this in the room, the rest of two people had the same problem!
OMG, I hope they know how to handle this irritating bed bugs issue! Else, it gonna spread to the whole sheets or blanket or room š¤¢

This dorm is awesome for solo travelers. Clean, comfortable and extremely convenient location. Few steps away to the beach. The air con was much appreciated after a hot day in the sea. Staff is welcoming, kind and helpful too. Nicely decorated room. A wonderful and peaceful hostel where one can have a good night sleep.

I am here at Ideal for the second time and I am so pleased with everything . I booked online and when I arrived I was picked up by the owner Mr Arm and thats far more then you can expect from a hostel. The whole family is working with the hostel and that makes the atmosphere superb . This year its possible to order breakfast also which I do every day , the breakfast is made by the owners sister and she is a terrific cock . The hostel is still very clean like last year and the guests are mainly adults so you don't have to fight with drunk young people . All guests follow the hostel rules and that makes it so nice to stay here . Last year I stayed for 35 nights this year I stay 52 nights which will give me a perfect vacation . So folks when you come to AoNang and wants to choose hostel go for Ideal Beds best ever

Really good hostel with friendly staff. Great location in the heart of Ao Nang and really near the beach. Very clean with lockers, lamps and plugs for every bed as well as a fluffy towel! The girls dorm was a bit unsocial and the hostel could do with more social areas. I did find a few ants in my bed but otherwise the hostel was really good!

I have spent 37 nights at this hostel and it feels like my second home already. This is the best hostel in Ao Nang that's for sure. Nice rooms with cleaning every day, private showers and toilets which makes the feeling if an hotel. The manager speaks very good English and you can ask him about anything and you will get a good and helpful answer. I will definitely come back to this hostel no doubt about that. You must try this hostel while staying in Ao Nang if you are a backpacker.

This is the second time I have stayed in this hostel for Songkran. The location is amazing- two or three minute walk from the beach. The rooms are airy and clean, the beds are pretty comfortable. The bathrooms are a little scary to look at because of all the grey concrete, but they are clean which is the important part! And hot water in the showers. They have converted the lower half into a spa and massage place and the prices are reasonable with a great staff. I got a massage and a pedicure and was very happy with both. Definitely would recommend.

You are welcome sshola. It's a good location but do take note the entrance is small, look out for the iDeal sign. I have posted a picture of the hostel sign in my photo contribution.
There are more places to choose from in the Ao Nang area.
