A wonderful rustic retreat and working cattle ranch. Fascinating history and perfect place to stay if planning to visit Sierra de San Pedro Mártir National Park. Very tasty ranch family style meals. I liked not having electricity after 9pm I got a wonderful 8 hours of sleep

Very adequate accommodations, good food (dinner and breakfast provided), scenic surroundings. It rained most of the time, but they let us put our motorcycles in the barn. Great out of the way destination.

This is definitely a place to stay, if you are going to the San Pedro Martir National Park, which during the winter actually can have snow, and with its pine trees smacks of the Sierra Nevada in California. There seem to be some cabins at the park entrance. The ranch is located 50km along the 100km road to the Park....

I loved the Meling Ranch but I think people considering a stay here should be forewarned. The setting is so scenic...surrounded by high mountains, cattle grazing, swimming pool, volley ball, hiking etc. It's delightful. However, there is only electricity for a few hours each day, which could be inconvenient for some. The rooms are clean, but small and the beds...

We recently did a couples RZR trip in Norther Baja and stayed 1 night at Meling Ranch. We made reservations in advance and were pleasantly greeted when we arrived. The food was excellent and the accommodations were great as well. My family stayed here in 2013 and we were pleased then as well.

One thing not mentioned here is the one hour plus drive from Highway 1 on a very winding road that prohibits going more than 50 MPH. I was told when making the reservation there was electricity but it was not mentioned that the rooms have no electricity at all. So here it is in the high 80's and I arrived...

the rooms were clean, great ranch experience with horse riding and typical ranch meals. Christian Meling and his staff were really kind, even prepared a vegetarian meal option for my wife. The pool is a great plus when returning from hikes in the national park. When the lights are out at 10 pm the star gazing beats everything.

Perfect stay for visting the observatory or san pedro martir national park. I had previously stayed at the park's cabins. But you have to carry everything including gas for hot meals and bed sheets. Rancho meling has hot water with good pressure and a tinder heater for cold nights. Very recomendable.

We arrived on dirt bike with no reservation and the ranch was booked up! Thankfully, with Christian's inquiry on our behalf, a family that was renting the 4-bedroom house said it was ok for us to stay in one of the rooms they weren't using. Everyone we met here was wonderful. The family-style dinner and breakfast encourages meeting strangers, swapping...

We had a great two day stay at Meling. The ranch is comfortable. It is rustic, but the place is very clean and the staff is excellent. We rode our mottos right out the door to the many tracks in the area. Highly recommended for an off the beaten path adventure.
