Large rooms with cooking facilities were very attractive for anyone wanting to do some eco-tourism. I think it is excellent value and close to the Malecon and downtown. We have stayed there many times. La Paz is the eco-tourist destination of the world with so much sea life it was called the Aquarium of the World by Jacque Couteau and...

We celebrated a mini-family reunion here, over Easter weekend. The grounds are beautifully kept. The staff was awesome - Jesus was a shining star helping us arrange a last-minute whale shark tour during a very busy time. We loved the access to the water front - across the street. And walking to town was an easy 10-15 stroll.

Cute Moroccan style hotel with big spacious suites, kitchenettes and balconies or patios. The pool in the middle of the complex looked inviting, but we did not go in. This hotel is enough away from the fray to make it quiet, while still being on the Malecon. And if all of this isn't enough for a VERY reasonable price, an...

We stayed at Club El Moro for a 4 day weekend getaway. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed talking with the bartender, Julio, who shared history, culture and places to go. If you go there, make sure to build time into your day to spend some time with him. The grounds were vey clean and tended...

Been visiting for shy of twenty years, since now adult kids were little and spent all day in pool. Now they are grown and still love it. Very well-kept rooms with kitchens and great little pool and jacuzzi. Probably not for you if you are looking for a hotel to party at and make a ruckus, but if you want...

This is a special hotel in La Paz. It is "old world" design and excellent condition and a great place to stay. It has the charm of a "personal" hotel with excellent architecture and cozy, friendly surroundings. It is clean and has a great little dining cafe attached. The poolside bar is quaint and quiet in the evenings with plenty...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Club El Moro in La Paz. Great location along the Malecon which makes walking into the downtown/historic area of La Paz easy. We would definitely return here. Our suite (one bedroom) was spacious & looked over the gardens. Basic cooking facility with stove top, microwave and toaster oven.

We reserved 2 king rooms 120 days in advance. We were to stay 3 nights. When we arrived we were involuntarily "upgraded" 2 rooms with 2 full beds each. The room I had had a separate living room area. The bedroom was so cold and the beds so hard that I had to sleep on the cheapo click-back couch in...
