Wanting peace and quiet depends on your definition of the term. While it is true that you will not find the college crowd here, you will hear all the music from the band at night. And since there was no air, we left the window open and heard the people at night in the pool and spa. The room needed...

After doing tons of internet searching, my boyfriend and I decided on the New Port Beach Hotel for an Friday overnite stay in mid August 2003. Las Rocas was booked and the rooms were about $175, the Rosarito Beach Hotel only had a suite available for $190, and the other hotels I searched didn't seem that appealing. At $130 per...

My girlfriend and I went to the New Port Beach Hotel just after Labor Day. We found it to be poorly maintained, too expensive, and not worth the trip. The hotel is actually on a cliff overlooking a boulder covered beach, so don't go expecting to walk from the pool to the beach. The poolside bar/taco stand wasn't open. The...

the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. the room was large and spacious with a beautiful view. it was a perfect getaway from the hustle-and-bustle of the city life, and in perfect walking distance to Puerto Nuevo, the best lobster you can find! it was a serene experience, "Americanized" with a hint of authentic Mexico.

I loved this hotel. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you're expecting something totally luxurious, this probably isn't the place for you, but if you want to just relax and take it easy, it's perfect. Our favorite part was the pool next to the beach with the fantastic bar and taco stand. The bar serves drinks in...

I just got back from the New Port Hotel. My girfriend and I planned a last minute trip and decided at 4:00pm on Friday that we wanted to go to Rosarito for the weekend. Knowing that Rosarito had a lot of college kids (we are 33 and 34 yrs old), we did not want to deal with a bunch of...

The New Port Beach Hotel is an excellent place to stay. Very professionally operated. Rooms are fresh, up to date and clean with ocean views. A quieter and much more relaxing stay than some of the resorts closer to Rosarito which seem to be a magnet for the college kids. The only thing preventing me from giving it five stars...

So it's not in Rosarito exactly but the last time we stayed downtown this really, really, REALLY loud music and firecrackers kept us up all night! And we drove downtown during our visit but it looked like Rosarito's being overrun by college kids. This place is family & dog friendly- I like the fact that we see the same employees...
