Detailed Reviews
Doesn't look like much compared to Marriott and others. Not glitzy. But it is a solid hotel. No complaints. Hotel staff were friendly. They don't speak English. If you have high American expectations, you will be disappointed. For Canadians, think of Comfort Inn. That's about the quality and what you should reasonably expect. They did have a breakfast meal plan and this is useful although it is a Mexican breakfast so don't expect an American 2 eggs, bacon and toast kind of breakfast. You can order eggs from the chef and they are accommodating. Reasonably efficient with cleaning the rooms. 3.5 stars. Like a Comfort Inn or Best Western. Mid-range quality but solid experience. Internet was slow the father from the main lobby you are. But they do have a small business centre if you need to use the computer.

We stayed here on a medical trip to Tijuana in November 2015. Although the rooms do not have fridges or coffee makers the restaurant in the hotel serves very good food. There are many updates that have been done on the hotel and they have done lots of work to improve the esthetics. It is in a great location on a main street and near lots of shops and food establishments in walking distance. Our room overlooked the parking and it is in a U shape with parking in the middle. My favourite meal was the taco soup and verde chiliquiles at breakfast.

All the rooms are non-smoking, but every other door has an ash tray outside. Smokers smoke right outside their door and fill the rooms around them with smoke. The Internet is also really bad. Cuts in and out all the time. The front desk is no help.

I travel quite a bit and go to Tijuana frequently and I read the review about being robbed and I was nervous about staying here. I got to the hotel and asked management about this review they said it was not true. I looked at the lay out of the rooms and I asked myself how is a robbery even possible with the rooms close to one another and I don't believe that post not one bit. I got a room for me and myself a king bed and one for a friend. I loved the bed was comfortable and clean the rest of the room was clean and decent nothing to complain about, they even have bottled water. I've stayed at the Holiday Inn in TJ weeks earlier and I can tell you from this point forward I will always stay here 100% can guarantee you for the price and quality I love, love love this place. At 6am we get back to the hotel and the staff greet us chat with us and we're so friendly that was cool. As for people complaining about the parking yea it's tight and might have to leave your keys and the parking lot is secured at night by a big metal door but come on people you act like your paying to stay at The Ritz. The things people complain about wow and for $46 you need to be smacked shut your trap appreciate what your getting for the price, Quality, Clean Comfortable Room, Great Customer Service, Free Breakfast, Secured by metal door night parking no one can get your car or into the hotel your safe trust me, I highly highly recommend this hotel before paying for a name brand which you can get here and more for your money! Try it you won't regret it unless you are one of those who complain for every little thing then get a life! AAA+++ I will Be Back this is my new spot!! Thanks for great stay and superior customer service you have a loyal customer!! See you soon!

We were in this area and randomly booked a hotel and it turned out to be a surprisingly good stay.
It's well located, the parking in the courtyard is a bit tight, but you can always just hand over the keys and treat it as a valet parking. The staff is excellent. After all help with getting bags in, setting up wi-fi, parking the car and classy service at breakfast - it really felt like a much more expensive hotel than what we paid for, so it was a good surprise.
This is a no chain property, so the owners applied their imagination, in a good sense. They have different kinds of suites and rooms, some a basic, others look more fancy. We stayed in a basic room and it was fine. Some things were a bit dated, but it was clean and very quiet, thanks to that courtyard. The free breakfast is a full service restaurant grade.
Since it's courtyard with the only way through the lobby where people knew us by name, it felt very safe.
Overall, it's a great place, highly recommended.

I was just booking a hotel stay, noticed a review of the hotel I was just booking. I have stayed here before many times, and will stay here again and again. It's is undervalued, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfy and the staff is great.
For the price you even get Breakfast what a deal. If you are looking for a place to stay in TJ this is it.....Selfishly I do not want to give up a great secret...but this Hotel deserves the accolades.

i stayed at this hotel, check-in on February 14 to 15th 2016.
first of all, the price was reasonable but really disappointed me was the unnecessary charge which i believe was not necessary. i ordered a bottle of wine for 190 pesos, reasonable, when it was deliver to my room, the service man said if you want me to open it would be an additional 100 pesos. what?! i told him i would open it my self with my and i did. The next day when i checked out i let the check out personnel know my complaint, someone in the check in/ out desk said he would look into the matter by contacting the manager in charge of room service.
Now the hotel, it is small and seems by the looks and size of the room, it was originally a motel that was up graded to a hotel, this is by the way is designed in my opinion. reasonable for the price.
