We stayed for one night on our way to La Paz. The grounds were beautiful, service was great, and dinner was delicious. The hotel is close to the beach but not close to town so a car is necessary. Make sure to contact the hotel ahead if you're planning on having dinner there.

My wife and I were celebrating our 10th Anniversary and found this place by accident. We’ve stayed in Loreto and in La Paz. This place beats them all. Juerg or (Jorge) and his wife Lily were very accommodating as well as Andre, Pati and the staff. They cooked us a wonderful din

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful hotel with our daughters and shared a very spacious and well decorated room with a small terrace and jacuzzi on the terrace. The room overlooked the most splendid garden I have seen in Baja California and through the palms and huge variet

My husband and I booked a three day reservation for a family wedding starting on 5/11/18. We booked it in 2017. We explained to owned that we would arrive by taxi but may get dinner in town before arriving at hotel about 6-7 PM. We are in our 80's, we would not be arriving late.

Thank you for the report which is your personal statement. Our view as proud owners of Posada La Poza and involved persons in the reception on May 11 is quite different. For the objective reader, we would like to give our details for comparisons sake. The reservation we were waiting for was under a different name The first phone call from a male person was received at 8.20pm, informing that they were having dinner in town and that they would be late. We pointed out that usually, 8pm was the latest check-in, but that we would wait for them, asking to show up as soon as possible. there was no further communication and we kept waiting until 10.30pm, time when we decided to call it the day. During all the time, the lights were on, bell was working and the dogs were on the grounds for advice reasons. Next day, there was no contact and the number of the night before was not answered. On the third day, a male voice called, making reference to the reservation and asking for not being charged for the reservation. These facts are quite different and we leave it to the interested reader to have her/his opinion on the report. On our website, we point out that the latest check-in is 8pm unless we are informed ahead of time of late arrival, fact that we have always respected in the last 18 years. We thank all the readers and guest for their interest and we wish you safe travels and a warm and welcoming hospitality - like at Posada La Poza.

Are there still so many birds there? Love the property and proprietors!
thank you for your interest. It is very unfortunate to inform that the bird sanctuary is almost without bird - in comparison to 2 and more years ago. This is due to the situation in the lagoon which is only some 15% of what it used to be. There are two reasons: one is a cyclical and one is man-made. Unfortunately some persons are playing power play with the water and the authorities are ignoring the situation. We at Posada La Poza are doing our best in order to keep it clean and sane.

Can the Junior suite be confirmed with a King bed
Best to ask the owners! I think our room was a Junior Suite. The bed was certainly enormous.

My wife and I just booked five nights in June and the Services for Posada La Poza here on TripAdvisor indicate Airport Transportation. Can anyone elaborate on this? We're currently planning to use Baja Eco Tours to get from SJD to Todos Santos, but if the hotel offers a better option, that would be awesome.
Dear John, thank you for your contact. We have received your reservation and we are looking forward to welcoming you at Posada La Poza. As for transportation, there are the options of: 1. public transportation (not recommended) 2. Shuttle with minivan, run by eco baja tours (see their website where you see itinary and also can purchase the tickets (cost p.p. approx usd 20.-) 3. private transportation (cost per trip usd 150.-) We shall be glad in assisting in case of any need. Please contact us Thank you, Juerg

Is the hotel on the beach or is it within walking distance?? Thanks
The hotel overlooks a beautiful lagoon. The Pacific Ocean is a short walk to the South or North of the lagoon. North through the palm grove or south along the hillside, with rocks, that are manageable. Jureg, the owner, will advise you and provide a Field Guide to Birds and binoculars....what a Host! Jake

"Only a couple to choose from, they all looked amazing"
