We had an amazing time in Mazatlan and at El Cid. PROS: -very close to the city center, plaza machado and malecon, one bus ride (ask directions and instructions from the front desk and bring pesos) -A la cartes for dinner is good. Best is Argentinian, then Italian, Mexican and Japanese. The waiters work very hard. Dinner buffets have different...

This was my first time visiting Mexico and I was traveling with 5 buddies several of whom were College buddies. They have been coming to El Cid Castillo Beach for 5 years running. I can certainly see why now, this Trip was incredible and the Service was impeccable at both places!! I will definitely be coming back every year from...

Old Hotel, but with pretty nice conserved, the pool is not crowded but is not safe for kids under 7 years old. Their internet Service is very bad, and you need to buy at least 3 days of service. Great restaurants around.

We loved our stay at the Granada! The Patio restaurant food and staff was wonderful but it was great to be able to go to the Castilla or Moro resorts for meals too. The Granada pool is nothing special but was wonderfully warm and there were always loungers available! The Granada staff was great and did whatever they could to...

I have been on many all inclusive vacation but El Cid Granada will be one place that I will NOT return. I will try to cover everything I was unhappy with. I think the worst was that some of their restaurants and foods were only for their (gold member ) bracelets guests. I love my morning coffee and could not...

We always enjoyed going to El Cid hotels but in particular to El Granada because the personnel there is the best. It is also a lot quieter and very family oriented. We have going there for years in the winter holidays and every year we come back very thankful for the great experience. Thanks to Alejandro in the front desk...

Just got back Dec 30th from a week at the Granada. Suite was great other than the poor hot water level in room 2017, room 2016 was fine. Occasional blast of hot or cold in the shower. Plastic cover on the mattress wasn't comfortable. Vancouver TV stations and US movie networks was nice. Ignore the information lady in the lobby...

The Granada is, I believe, the original El Cid in Mazatlan and it's obvious. The rooms were showing wear and were not particularly well equipped. For instance, our room was set up as a one bedroom with potential for a lock off. That meant that the "living room" was set up with 2 full sized bed rather than a sofa...

“the stools in the room made an annoying and nasty noise when you moved them. We were constantly picking up the stools so we wouldn’t scrape the legs on the floor and annoy the people below us ( the people above our room moved their stools all night ) I suggest the hotel place padded cushions on the bottom of the stool legs , so when the stools were being move. the pads prevented the stools tfrom scraping the tile floors and making a horrible sound. ”

“While the rooms are clean and the bed comfortable our last two nights were awful due to partiers!! Women screaming and furniture moving all over the place. During the day they were working in the room beside us with a jackhammer! Very awful! While we don't spend a lot of time in our room it would have been nice once in a while.”

“The rooms are very clean, A/C works wonderfully (it's very hot and humid outside). There's HBO and CNN and a splattering of local NYC and LA channels...Our suite had a full sized fridge, all in all, rooms are great.”
