OK, where do I start? First thing, this Hotel IS ON A MARINA, in one day I counted 185 boats go by, from a 6ft dingy with 3 Mexicans in it too a 200ft pleasure boat with 75 people onboard. I am from the Maritimes so I enjoyed watching them go in and out, but the Restrant is open so...

We stayed at the Nautilus for a week in 2002, when it was still owned by the Omega chain. Here's the summary of events in what we prefer to call a "rustic" camping trip.... The road leading up to the hotel boasts views of beautiful resorts, both on the beachfront (south side of the road) and the marina (north side...

As you approach the culdesac at the end of the marina road, the cheery resort atmosphere of Puerto Vallarta makes a dramatic shift toward a more abandonded demolition/war zone motif. The Howard Johnson Nautilus hotel may at first glance appear to be a ray of hope set at the end of this road, but that would be an illusion. At...

We just got back from our vacation in Puerto Vallarta and we stayed on the Mariner at Hotel Nautilus. After reading the previous reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. First of all the staff is very friendly. I even needed to send a fax at 10:30 p.m. and the staff was right there to do it for me. The view from...

We went to PV for one week and stayed in this dump hole for one day! The only good thing I can say about the hotel is the room was big. But… it was dirty, smelled funny, the beds were uncomfortable, the tiny couch was broken, the TV was missing in the bedroom, the microwave was missing in the kitchenette,...

Funny how many bad reviews have been given about this place and only certain ones have been posted. Here goes another try. Don't go here. It was the worst vacation I have ever been to. The service was the worse, the food was like eating something you see in the dumps, (you dont know what it is) and the locals...

Just returned from this dump of a hotel This was my fourth trip to Mexico, and yes this time the price came into effect. Long story short, you get what you pay for, however this resort should not exist. To any travellers out there please save a little more money and book a better place unless you like a 1 STAR...

April 2004 Just got back from a two week stay at this resort................This resort could use some RENOVATIONS! Not a bad place to stay ! Our Bartender German was fantastic! He says lots of people call him Herman or Carmen but he actually spelled his name for us and its German. The hotel needs friendly staff like him! Not all...

Just got back today from P.V. and stayed at The Nautilus for a week. Rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. My wife and I took the bus most every day and they stop right outside the hotel so it was very handy.Only drawbacks - ran out of beer and wine a couple of nights, jacuzzi tub did not work and...

11/29/03 to 12/06/03 Stayed here during the low season. It was very quiet not too many guests. Food was excellent and the menu changed every day. Staff were great with my son especialy our waiter Herman. Pool was unbelievable!!!!! Spent a day sailing on the "deja vu again" a 40ft sail boat docked in front of the hotel. If you...

“No elevators - so if stairs are an issue - ask for ground floor. Room 132 was in the building that backs onto the street...there is some bus noise beginning around 7am. If you are light sleeper this might be an issue.”
