We have been here since Sunday, the noise level from guests and visitors until 3 AM is not acceptable since the pool closing and quiet time is 10 PM. The pool is in the center of the hotel with all the rooms on the perimeter. They are offering day passes to people who are not staying at the hotel and they are extremely loud. Food quality is nothing compared to our prior visits. I was able to charge drinks to our room earlier today (and tabbed out), since the restaurant was booked for private event and we had to go elsewhere for dinner just tried to reopen tab, and they refused, had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get cash. Sadly, I don't think we will come back here again, always enjoyed our stays in the past.

Great hotel right off the Malecon Boardwalk. This was in a gear district, next to the free market and many small local shops. The reception staff had great suggestions on dining, sightseeing, how to get a taxi and also provided maps for the area Malu even explained the bus system to me, helped me obtain the correct change for the fares and taped the separate couns together for me so that I would not confuse the fare for each trip. Rooms were fairly sized, clean and had great air conditioning with WiFi access. Housekeeping did a great job. There was a pool, however it was situated in the center of the on-site cafe and I was not comfortable using it while diners were enjoying their meals. That was the o key drawback to my experience. I would have loved to lounge by the pool I. Beach chairs but none were available. Overall an excellent t hotel!

The hotel Rio is a little gem oasis in the most amazing town of Puerto Vallarta. A stones throw from the beach and the beautiful Malecon with shops vendors arts across the street from the inside artist market and in the center of everything a five minute walk to everything you need. The staff here is exceptional every person has been over accommodating and kind looking out for me and pet friendly which is a plus beautiful pool and delicious restaurant with such great service and the food is just incredible. The front desk staff is just magical so kind and ever I coming to your needs the rooms are clean modern hot water really good water pressure in the showers lovely kitchen it's with microwave and gas oven and all you need dishes and pots and pans maid service daily and little balcony so you can watch the action on the street or get some sun! Definately will be back & recommend to families, couples, singles & friend travelers! Beautiful oasis pool & hotel & restaurant Coexist!!

I stayed here because of the location and wanted a kitchenette. The cost was about $61 a night CDN. The kitchenette was a fridge with no freezer, microwave and gas stove that required a lighter to use. Slightly archaic, but they gave me a lighter and it made do for what I needed. Obviously if you want more of a kitchen it’s not the place to go. The room was charmingly decorated and bed pretty cozy for A PV hotel. Location was amazing, right by the Malecon and the Romantic Zone. If you’re facing the street you may want earplugs but it’s worth it for the location! The pool was nice and cute and no one used it. Probably because it was the coldest pool I have ever been in, equivalent to the polar plunge at the Nordic spa. That being said, you’re right by the beach anyways and if you do want the pool it’s like a private pool! The courtyard is also very green and beautiful to look at even if you just want to sit by the pool and have a drink. The hotel had a restaurant which is very very good, I will review that separately. Cleaning staff were always cleaning and cleaned made up the room nice. I felt very safe in regards to the cleaning in the time of covid. Front desk staff were pretty helpful, especially one with the name Trainee, I’m guessing that’s not his real name but I wish I got it. I had a lot of questions and he did everything he could to find me the answers with a smile. Unfortunately one front desk staff was rude to me over a misunderstanding rather than pointing it out in a respectful way, but the rest of the concierge made up for it and helped me with the issue so it became water under the bridge. All in all, I usually do all-inclusive but if I were to do the hotel thing again, I would strongly consider this hotel. You should too!

I am still staying here for the next 8 days as type. First, I was given an upgrade to a kitchenette, which greatly helped my trip as I was here for a total of 10. I will be here in this area for months. I have been staying in now my 4th place. Two hotels and two Airbnb’s. This hotel is by far my favorite and has surpassed all of my expectations. It’s very clean and what you see online, it’s what you get. That’s rare in itself! The staff is very accommodating and I can’t speak highly enough of the restaurant/bar, CoExist Bistro. The food and presentation is out of this world! I have only had breakfast, but I cannot wait to have other menu options. In my opinion, this establishment is more than a 3 star! It has excellent reviews and it’s all true!
