I had a great experience because like more than 40 years ago a hotel like the Rosita is my style and preference opposed to the Sheraton or the Hilton or other five star hotels that are pretty much all the same. It was also my wife's style , who recently passed away, even though we could well afford either. My room and bathroom were clean and everything worked well like AC, TV and pouring hot water in the shower which wasn't the case in 82, but we still continued to come back many years in a row. I cringe at the last couple of reviews and hate to admit that they are typical of the rich and spoiled Gringos! Okay enough, suficiente, bastante, because I could go on and on!!

It's old but clean, good location if you want to be in the center of it all. They are super uptight about all kinds of rules which is good and bad I guess. Like two friends stopped in for a day trip from sayulita and they couldn't grab a shower before we went to dinner. Even after we tried to book them a room they had to wait 30 mins for everything to finalize just to use my room to shower. Their Zero guest policy makes no sense. Breakfast service is slow slow slow, food is average. If the front desk was reasonable I'd say it's great value, but otherwise it's a cheap hotel and good for a 2 day visit if you don't need ANYTHING out of the box. Having them spray my luggage with random covid crap was annoying too. FREE breakfast is two pieces of fruit and cheap juice and an hour of your time. For another hour you can pay $5 for something decent but there are better options nearby.

My room smelt of crap and closing the doors to my bathroom didn’t help even though I didn’t use the toilet. The swimming pool is small, old snd always packed and needs renovation like the rest of this hotel. The most unproffesional staff I have ever come across. I booked this hotel and asked in advance that I’ll be staying longer (it was showing me on booking that there were rooms available) . I was told that I didn’t have to book it online and that my stay will be extended. Someone forgot to do it in the system so had to leave it without any apology.

I paid for two days... couldn’t even stay overnight. The first room looked like a prison cell. The second room had a bug on the pillow and the shower was filthy. They refused to refund me for both nights. Yes, it’s by the beach, but the other two hotels I stayed at during my time in PV (Hilton and holiday inn) were 100Xs cleaner and only $20-$30 more per night. Horrible experience. Never again.

I just completed my third stay at Hotel Rosita and I still love it. The staff are excellent and very friendly. It is an old hotel and not luxurious, but very comfortable. Cleaning, reception, all departments are very customer oriented and seem to love their work.
