Split our stay in Puerto Vallarta between a big all-inclusive and the Westin- and in our opinion there is no comparison. The Westin wins hands down. From the moment we walked into the lobby we felt more relaxed- More welcomed and more valued. The beach here is a bit on the smaller side, but the pool area and poolside service is awesome- and the prices are in line. Would highly reccomend this property.
We just returned from an 8 day family vacation and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The Westin takes great care of their guests. The pools were clean. The food was delicious. The menu and buffet was a little different every day to give some variety. Room service was quick. They took COVID very seriously. Masks and gloves were worn. Temperatures were taken. There was hand sanitizer around every corner. Spacing of 6 feet between families happened throughout the hotel and it’s grounds. I visited the spa while my family went on a dolphin excursion and it was the best massage I have received in a while. The swim up bar-tenders definitely had their work cut out for them considering it was spring break and that always brings out the best in people. The staff was patient and kind to the less than polite hotel guests. We also enjoyed the complimentary paddle boards and kayaks and even participated in a good ol’ fashioned game of water volleyball! We will definitely visit the Westin at the Marina again. …
We are staying here for a week (half way through currently). We got an ocean view on the 9th floor. Amazing views, very comfy bed. Room smells a bit musty/mildew but not too uncomfortable. Really close to the marina and some amazing local restaurants. One thing I must say I am really disappointed in, the drinks. We've tried 2 restaurants and 2 bars (pool and beach) and no one seems to be able to make a decent margarita. How is this possible you say?? I have no clue. The original margaritas taste either too sour or too sweet. The flavored margaritas taste like Kerns nectar. Thick and goopy. Really disappointed in the variety of drinks offered (yes they can make whatever you request, but no actual specialty cocktails outside margaritas, mojitos, and pina coladas...
A very beautiful restaurant with professional staff that truly care about their customers and delicious food! A shout out for wait staff Jorge, Eduardo, Omar, Miguel and manager Ricardo! The shrimp was fresh and beautifully done with white wine risotto, yummy mahi mahi, steaks and amazing fresh salad bar with daily rotating choices. Gracias to Arricefes at the Westin, PV.
Everyone that knows me is well aware that I'm a little obsessed with palm trees. The Westin is therefore perfect for me given that it used to be a palm tree plantation and there are hundreds of them dotted all around. I loved staring at the oh-so-blue pool from my wonderful room and loved all the little touches in my room. I did morning yoga overlooking the bay and I'm told that people usually spot whales right there during yoga practice. I know that some of the staff have been at the Westin for as long as 18 years and you really feel warm and at home at this little slice of wellness paradise. Thank you and I can't wait to go back.
