The Crown Paradise Club All Inclusive Resort in Puerto Vallarta seems to have its share of critiques, with numerous guests feeling let down by the resort's value, pointing to problems with amenities and cleanliness. Room conditions, including maintenance and air conditioning, have also been a source of discomfort for many visitors.
Despite this, some acknowledge the resort's diligent daily upkeep and its prime location near the ocean and local attractions. The atmosphere is divisive, with entertainment being both a hit and a miss, and while the service is often commended for its friendliness, issues with efficiency and communication are noted.

Detailed Reviews

We stayed for seven days at the end of February and early March with a group of 18 family and friends. The Crown Paradise club in Puerto Vallarta is a family all-inclusive resort. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The grounds were impeccable and constantly being maintained. We stayed in the honeymoon suit. The honeymoon suit was large and spacious. The other rooms used by the group were tailored to the specific family size and needs. The front desk staff and concierge helped our group with a variety of issues and their responsiveness was quick, efficient, and with a great attitude.
The wedding department prepared everything that we requested in order to conduct a symbolic wedding. They were incredibly helpful which allowed us to enjoy the time there as apposed to worrying about the ceremony’s details. We even made a change to the venue the day of the ceremony and the staff accommodated immediately. I cannot properly convey how helpful and accommodating the wedding department was.
The food was very good and plentiful. The housekeeping staff was in everyday and our suit was cleaned and restocked with water every day. The in room fridge was restocked every day and when we asked for additional water it was brought in by staff within the hour. The TV in the suit stopped working. When we called it in, it was replaced by maintenance within the hour.
For meals you have a buffet, but for dinner there are also several restaurants that you can make daily reservations for. The pools and Jacuzzi were clean and heated. The recreation staff had constant programming in the main pool for those who wanted to partake.
Due to its location on the beach there was a constant breeze and the views were fantastic. The beach itself was well maintained, clean, and cabanas and lounge chairs were provided for ocean side tanning and relaxation.
Overall we would recommend this resort and would stay there again. Conducting a wedding was incredibly easy and made the ceremony an occasion that we will always remember and cherish.

I travel to various parts of MX every month. This hotel is small, but very personable. Quite close to the airport and local shops and restaurants. Rooms are tidy. I upgraded to a honeymoon suite, ocean front and the value was exceptional. Tipping the cleaning staff $20CAD did not seem to be enough to get the mini bar re-stocked or a fancy towel animal on the bed. Haha. Seems like a great place for families as well. Also watched a lifeguard save the life of a child who was unconscious by the pool.

We have stayed here many times and every time it gets better and better. The staff are SO welcoming, helpful and friendly that it feels like coming home to family when we come here. The food in the buffet seemed even better than ever this time, and the food and service in all of the three specialty restaurants was absolutley first rate!! We were especially pleased to see that all the chaise lounges at the pools now have signs forbidding reserving them - long overdue and a great idea. Also, the "Adults Only" rule at the adult pool was enforced quickly on the two occasions that we saw children in the pool area. All in all, our favourite place to vacation!!!

We have "upgraded" our room three times (paid extra each time) and we still have a room with two broken windows (open air broken, so wasps and bugs fly into our room constantly), infested with Ants, no hot water, and the phone line doesn't work.
In order to bathe our children I've been microwaving water and sponge bathing. It is incredible. Also, this is advertised as a family resort, however there is no ice cream at this resort. How is it possible to have a family resort with no day time ice cream for kids?
The pools are jam-packed with people, shoulder to shoulder. There is literally no way for us to let our kids swim in them. The only possible explanation for this is that the hotel must issue day passes to locals to use the pools. There is no way they could be this full with only hotel guests.
That beautiful boardwalk on the photos? Boarded off - not accessible, it has a locked gate. There is also a crushingly loud group of musicians that play all day on the beach - this is not a pleasant band like we heard at the other resorts, it is a few guys with two massive speakers blasting and it is awful.
There is also no coffee. I have been told for three days that the coffee machine is broken, so I cannot get a coffee. After 7:00am, the food buffet has coffee, but you must sit inside, no social distancing, and you cannot get a cup of coffee to go. So, I decided to order tea. Sorry, only chamomile.

We came back again to this friendly resort for a relaxing family vacation.
The location on the beach is great for watching the ships come in and helping my son when he lost his hat.
The cleaning staff was great and our room was spotless each day.
Lucy and the ladies bringing drinks to the poolside loungers were great too!
Our room on the 4th floor had a great view, but it was a bit noisy due to the rooftop A/C units above.
The food was good overall and our dinner at La Piazza with service from Jordan and Hugo was fantastic!

This is the fourth time we have stayed at the Crown Club and sadly it is going to be our last. I want to start by saying that the staff are trying their best and are working so hard to make you welcome but unfortunately they are not being supported by the decision makers.
These are "different times" and all businesses are trying to do more with less but this backfires when you are in the hospitality trade and you simply don't have enough staff working to get the work done.
The common areas are not being looked after. The beach is not being groomed so you will come down to dirty loungers, tables, debris all over. This was every single morning. The floors and stairways are not being cleaned so they are sticky and full of stains. A napkin and hamburger with fries stayed on the ground level stairs for 3 days before being removed. In previous years you would always see a staff member cleaning these areas first thing in the morning, not this trip.
The check out process is agony! We waited 25 minutes to check out, the front desk are painfully slow. I think he was a manager who eventually processed us because I approached him to say we were worried that we would not be ready for our airport transfer. He was actually part of the problem because while one of the receptionists was telling people who were jumping the queue to go to the back he decided he was going to create another queue for arrivals, which pushed us back several people? Here is another point on this. Check in is 3 pm, check out time is noon so why were they processing people who were checking in before people who needed to check out? The process should be check outs first and when they are done we will process the in check in's. We were stuck behind a bus load of arrivals (around 40 people in all). Very chaotic and disorganized. Unfortunately that was our last impression of the hotel and that is what cemented our decision that this would be our last stay at the Crown.

We have st\yed at the Crown Paradise Cliub or on occasion the CP Golden for the last 8 years. The CPC is an excellent place for us to bring the grand children.
The Palapa buffet is consist quality with varied theme nights. There are 3 specialty restaurants which are easy to book 24 hours in advance.
Over the last two years,CPC is heavily booked on the weekends, beyond its capacity. This taxes pool side space and the dining facilities to the point of being a major deterent. CP Golden does not suffer this issue.
The staff are very friendly and readily address any of ones requests.
Violeta and Francisco of the concierge department clearly enjoy their positions and make sure one has an excellent vacation

First of all Raul the waiter at the buffet was excellent! He gave our family first rate service! Other than him, the staff wasn’t great. Our family room didn’t have a curtain when we arrived and multiple requests didn’t get it resolved. The kids/baby paradise people didn’t seem to enjoy kids and interacted with them as little as possible.
As mentioned, our family room wasn’t great. The room was worn and a little dingy. The door to the patio didn’t close correctly (or lock). The beds were motel 6 quality. On the other hand, our parents came and their room was MUCH nicer on the adult side.
The kids pool was great for our 4, 6, and 8 year old kids. The other pools were good too. The beach area was nice although the sand can be a little coarse in spots. Water was warm and the temp was perfect during spring break. The kids also enjoyed the super hero themed n/a drinks from the bar.
The buffet food was ok and it changed themes each day. The dinner restaurants we attended were good, but reservations can be a little difficult. There is a service charge for room service, but it’s reasonable (70 pesos I believe).
Overall, there were a few things they could have done better but my family enjoyed our vacation here.

Hi we have been to crown paradise at least 5 times and never disappointed.
What may need to be upgraded is not an issue as the staff and management really goes out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay.
I want to add a special shoutout to Fernando breakfast waiter ,he always remembers what you like and has a very pleasant way about him.
He certainly started my day off in the right direction.
I hope all the staff and management stays safe and make it through the covid 19 pandemic .
I would like to note that even the zip line staff was wiping and spraying the gloves with Lysol disinfectant which is known to kill the Coronavirus ,I’m impressed and will be back.

Was very dissatisfied upon arrival. I travel to Mexico often and this resort had the least amount of security. Checking in wasn’t welcoming at all. Got to the room, furniture was stained and outdated. Had to switch rooms twice. Once switched to a decent room felt like I was pulling teeth to get clean sheets. Had to go complain to manager showing pictures of the brown stains all over the sheets. Was put in a standard room the next day. I was finally comfortable. No poolside service, not much variety at the buffet, make sure you schedule early for the restaurant’s, and room service doesn’t exist. They ignore the phone. So make sure you eat before everything closes. The only thing that went smoothly was the check out process.

You have to pay $750 canadian for another bracelet to go eat there and drink there
Yes they will have a schedule of daily events at the kids club. They have an amazing zip line which the kids can do multiple times. They will also have other fun activities throughout the day. Our 6 year old daughter loved the pizza making activity, birthday party, crafts activities, pool games, scavenger hunt.
Sorry, I don’t know the answer to this. We were at Paradise without children and saw no need to go over to Golden.
I beleive you only get this once you are on site. You scan a QR code which gives access to all hotel info.
