Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for a week during our PV vacation. The hotel is newly remodeled and the rooms are large and nicely laid out. Each room is quite large and they offer three options: one king bed, two kings, or three queens (or so it seemed). The rooms have a kitchen for people who want to cook (although with all the great restaurants in PV, why anyone would want to do that is not clear). The staff is quite friendly and helpful. The staff has passable English and there is always Siri to help out if a language problem arises. The views are gorgeous, especially from the rooftop pool and terrace. There is a modest continental breakfast in the morning, with some pastries and coffee.
I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because they require a $500 (peso) deposit in cash which you get back upon check out (equivalent to about $25 USD). Luckily, I had some cash. Also, while the hotel itself is quiet and sedate, it is situated next to a party hotel with live music that plays into the morning. This happened twice during the week and it meant a short night in terms of sleep.
Overall, we really enjoyed the hotel and the views and location cannot be beat.

Thank you very much for your honest and punctual review! We appreciate it very much! We are sorry that you were uncomortable with the noise from the bar across the street... we now have earplugs in our lobby for your comfort :) The hotel opened in 2018 so our facilities are pretty much new but we keep improving everytime! :) Thank you very much for staying with us, we look forward to receiving you again very soon!!!

This new hotel shows the positive while struggling with quirky management practices. The pricing that is all
Over the map and not consistent with prevailing pricing in town at this time.
The new hotel is a few blocks north of the male on, adjacent the beach and has wonderful views over Bay. Most of the spacious rooms are with balcony. Nice touches include Mexican artisanal tile floors in common hallway, good internet, and very friendly staff. Drinking water without plastic bottles via special taps
Management has not figured everything out including requiring: signing a detailed room inventory(?), a 25 dollar deposit, bracelets for guest even though this is not an all inclusive and access to very mediocre breakfast offering without adequate utensils or plates. Kitchen/dishes cleaning in the rooms is not part of daily housekeeping.
Hotel has nice potential especially when the startup hiccups are being taken care of.

Hello! Yes, we have made major improvements and have had another manager for a time now. The deposit is still required, it is returned upon check-out if there are no extra expenses. Breakfast is now a-la carte and we have a pretty great snack bar in the pool area!!! :D

I wasn't going to do a review as I wanted this property to remain a well kept secret. Hotel Grand Paramar is a 4 block walk from the start of the malecon. While it's not right on the beach, it's across the street located on a quiet one way lane which gets very little traffic. The hotel has 4 floors of rooms with approx 8 rooms to a floor. It is brand new, clean, with full kitchenette for those that wish to cook. There is a market a couple blocks away to stock up on breakfast items, beer, wine, etc. or more if you are not eating your meals out. There is a beautiful rooftop pool with 16 lounge chairs. You can always find a lounge chair. The hotel does not allow guests to reserve chairs for the whole day while. This is a pet peeve of mine at other properties that allow guests to put out a towel reserving for the whole day but only using the chair for 3-4 hours. Selfish, self entitled behaviour should not be encouraged old allowed. This a perfect place for couples that want a quiet location. If you want a party environment go stay at a noisy property in the Romantic Zone or an all inclusive in Nueva. The staff was helpful, friendly, rooms clean, comfortable. Nice balconies with table and chairs to sit and have your morning coffee or a a beer or tequila. The only downside I can think of is a if you are an extremely light sleeper you might have a hard time on a Friday/Saturday evening as the bar across the lane on the beach has either a live band or a DJ. On the Friday night there was a reggae band and a DJ on the Saturday. This did not bother me as I sleep with ear plugs anyway and joined the party on our last night with a DJ and drinks on the beach. I used to stay in the Romantic Zone but now find it to be over the top in your face. This will be my property of choice the next time I return to PV. At $135 CDN per night this is good value. All rooms with the exception of one or two have ocean views. There have been a few bad reviews from others which made me nervous after we made non refundable reservations. Fortunately we had a good experience and I have come to learn you can't always believe everything you read online. Some people will always find something to complain about.

I booked this hotel for one night only because I was arriving a day early for my timeshare at another hotel. I was pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem. This is near PV downtown, many tasty restaurants, souvenir stores, and a block from the beach. My room had ocean view and I could hear the waves. The pool was great and bar/food at the pool exceeded my expectations. Food was fresh and service people were very attentive at all times. When leaving the next day they offered to watch our luggage to spend the morning while waiting for check in time at other hotel.
My husband and I are definitely coming back here with all of our family and spending all our vacation to really enjoy our stay here.

The Paramar Beachfront Hotel Boutique is an excellent choice in PV if you are looking for a great value, a renovated, fully stocked room, and a centrally located hotel within walking distance to everything. We’ve been meaning to try out this place for several years, but it’s usually fully booked. So, we reserved about 6 months ago and truly loved our recent 7-night stay. I strongly recommend The Paramar to fellow travellers.
There are four floors with rooms (5th floor is pool), with each floor having only 8 suites; 7 of them are ocean view, and only one is a city view (room number ending in 06). We chose a city view to save a few dollars, and received the top floor unit #406, which suited us fine. The bed was excellent, the room was renovated and had everything we needed. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and the daily activity of the city from our balcony, and each evening we had a glass of wine on the rooftop patio to watch the sunset.
The rooftop has the largest pool I’ve ever seen up high, there’s plenty of room to spread out, and they also have a rooftop canteen that’s open 1-8pm each day, for drinks and snacks. A complimentary home-made breakfast is served every morning in the main floor breakfast nook.
Everyone at the Paramar was always working, cleaning, or taking care of guests, but a special thanks to Jesus on the Reception, Angele our Housekeeper, and the lovely ladies who cooked and served those wonderful breakfasts!
Gracias!

We were booked in a time share week at a different location outside of PV and had decided we wanted to be able to stay in town for one night. It was a bit of a splurge because we opted for the Casa Dona Ernestina - a two bedroom kitchen unit, but we wanted was the private rooftop patio and pool.
The hotel has many reviews that mention noise, but we did not notice any even sitting out on the rooftop in the evening/night.
The hotel is very clean, safe, and the staff seem to enjoy their work and welcoming visitors. We were able to check our bags before check in and left with recommendation for getting our laundry done right around the corner. The parking seemed safe, but we did not have a car.
There is nothing bad to say - the room was clean and well kept. AC units in each bedroom quickly cooled the whole unit. We used the queen bedroom which felt like the mattress was a little more padded than the double room, but can't be sure. Bathrooms are modern and had the rain fall shower heads. Robes and toiletries were provided. The main pool and common areas were clean and well kept. Breakfast in the morning was quick and delicious with lots of choice. We had 360 degree views of PV and were lucky it was a dry and pleasant evening to enjoy it.
It was great to be so close to the Malecon and the grocery store Casa Ley a few blocks away is perfect if you did want to cook in your own room.
Will definitely consider returning if we can - no hesitation in recommending.

This is a great value for the price; we had an ocean-view room for $150 a night. The view from rooftop is actually better than the site or visitor photos. We were blown away.
It is a perfect distance from the ocean water at about 80 feet and across a quiet street. You can hear the ocean but it is not too loud at night. The beach is public and not the greatest with rocks and pebbles, but that is the nature of the beach in this part of PV.
It is one block from Honduras Street which has 4 taquerias and one rated the best in PV, Pepe's. The service is very friendly and helpful and no timeshare offers or presentations. The rooms are modern and clean and my unit had a full kitchen. The towels were large and thick and soft. The location is 8 blocks from the Malecon, which is Centro with dozens of restaurants and bars and the cathedral. You don't need cabs or Ubers.
They pressure-washed the entry, sidewalk, and the gate and security spikes, which made it the cleanest hotel landing and streetfront in the downtown area. Never seen that done at the downtown resorts before.
Top restaurants in the area include Cafe des Artistes, Zenza, and Juan Tiburon (last 2 not really walkable).
Breakfast was included and was good but not great, but that helped me not overeat at breakfast and save room for tacos touring and margaritas.

Staff were friendly, and the hotel is in a great location, although as other reviews have mentioned it’s very noisy at night because of the bar music across the street.
Our room (307) suffered a mold and leak issue. We found fuzzy black mold on the ceiling and the air conditioner leaked water on the floor. When we pointed out this issue to the staff, they only wiped the mold off and the water up without addressing the underlying problem or offering to put us in another room. Of course the mold and leaking returned on our last day there.
The bathroom also smelled musty and moldy.

This is the perfect hotel for your stay in Puerto Vallarta.
The positives, a 10 minute walk to the Malecon the main boardwalk with many restaurants, beautiful sculptures, street performers, and a walk around the bay.
The hotel is directly across the beach and if you get a room with a balcony and ocean view not only beautiful sunsets but the soothing sounds of the waves at night.
Breakfast is waiter served off a menu which has at least 25 choices.
The pool area is very pretty with more then enough lounge chairs and a bar to serve you late afternoon.
There is some noise at night from the bar across the street but only happens Friday through Sunday and it didn't hinder our stay.
Lastly many restaurants and big markets nearby. Check out Pepe's Tacos .
We loved this place. We recommend it highly.
PS Last tip We used a cab survived called Areo Movil. Only $22 USD to the hotel.

This was a trip with a friend. From the the time we arrived to when we left..it was a great experience. Super clean, very friendly and efficient staff. We loved the roof top pool and bar area. I loved that it was out of the busy areas of PV. Yes..there is a bar/ restaurant across the street. Loud if you’re sitting on your balcony, but when we closed the doors, no noise from that side. There definitely was noise from the hallways, but that seems to go away at night ( maybe I’m a sound sleeper).
We were able to cook a small meal in the room one night so the small kitchenette is very useable. Good size fridge and microwave too. Ice needed to be obtained from the pool bar.
Good water pressure for the shower. Decent amenities. Towels were plentiful, but not fluffy, like a Marriott (are you staying at one?)
One thing that took a bit to get used to was : Nothing other than “bodily fluids” into the toilet. So dispose of all paper in the garbage can beside the toilet. Honestly for me, this was the biggest adjustment I had to make.
We both agreed that the beds were pretty firm compared to what we were used to. Pillows were fine. Wifi strong in the room, with four devices connected.
View was awesome.
Breakfast was a cook to order. I stuck with the fruit plate and granola. Totally happy.
Just like the rest of the work, the service industry has a shortage of staff. The same with the Paramar. Yet the staff they have are fantastic. I’ll go back for the experience they helped to create.
An excellent small hotel in a fantastic location.
Thanks to all stall and especially Memo( sp)

I think they are like small plunge pools with a few jets but you can't see them unless you are staying in those suites. It may be best to either email the hotel or message them on Facebook, they answer either usually within a day.
Lunch was not included when I stayed there in Nov 2022. Only breakfast and it was fine.
I would get a taxi from the airport or arrange for a driver. There is an booth just as you exit to the outside of the terminal ( actual outside). On the the right side. A bit more expensive but others might tell
You to cross the bridge. IMO not worth the effort for the small savings. There are set rates so you won’t be ripped off. I think hotel
Is in Zone 2.
Great hotel!
The hotel has some you can take over. Since the hotel only has 33 rooms there should be enough to use. There is also a restaurant on the beach where you can grab something and use their chairs, tables and umbrellas.
