However, the highlight of Vallarta Shores and our trip was Chef Edwin. Every meal was delicious, like eating at one of the best restaurants in town. One of our two children has eating issues and is very picky, and not your typical picky eater. Chef Edwin was able to satisfy our son every night with his meals and even got him to eat a few foods he would never typically eat because the food was so good. Chef Edwin took note of the particulars of every member of the family and accommodated all of our needs. He paired wonderful wines for our meals too. Please note this was not our first experience with a private chef and Chef Edwin by far exceeded our expectations and other experiences. We are already planning our next trip and bringing friends.
The only negative I could think of for Vallarta Shores is that there is a nearby club that plays music quite loudly on the weekends. Not anything to keep us from loving the stay, but if silence is your thing, that could be a negative. The noise was not heard while in the bedrooms, only while in the outdoor portion (dining room, plunge pool, living room).

Overall, a fantastic place, really friendly and helpful staff and a great location. Highly recommended.

Additionally, Suite C in particular is directly next to the Mantamar rooftop bar which boasts house and electronic music from 11am until 8pm every day. By the end of the trip my head was pounding. Again, not ideal for relaxation. Suites D, E, and F are presumably above the speaker height but they have one angled directly at our wall which was pretty awful.
Not sure if it was because of the construction but we also had limited hot water during our stay which made for quick showers only for necessity.
The only thing that saved our stay was our chef, Edwin, made us some of the best meals we’ve ever tasted. He worked with us daily to curate a menu based on our dietary needs. Our meals included fresh local fruit, fresh fish and all sorts of creative takes on local cuisine.
I would likely come back but would want them to alert us about the construction and would hope better relations can be built with the neighboring property.
Irvin was the best chef one could ask for and I wouldn’t want to have anyone else! Would highly highly recommend for any groups visiting PV! 🫶🏻🌈
As we approached Vallarta Shores it was evident that their staff had been fully trained in keeping guests safe from COVID 100% of the staff was wearing face masks and most had a clear shield over their mask. They greeted us warmly and offered hand sanitizer and us to step on a mat that was wet with a disinfectant. Everyone of the staff had been trained to try and speak loudly and clearly as with masks on it was hard to hear and they all respected social distancing. Everywhere I looked there was a person cleaning and wiping down everything and even with a mask on I could tell they were all smiling and happy from their eyes The room was lovely and they assured us that it had been disinfected 100% and went on to explain how things like the remote controls, light switches, surface tops, and door handles were actually disinfected more than once. I was absolutely amazed at the detail they had gone thru to ensure our stay was safe as possible. I have never seen staff so dedicated to making us feel at ease and safe and yet they did it all with a smile. When we asked about places that were open for food to go the response again was amazing They actually asked us what we liked and disliked and made many recommendations 1500 characters are not sufficient to explain how warm, caring, friendly, and SAFELY they treated us.

My family and I stayed in Sky Suite F for a couple of nights to relax and unwind. We wanted to be mindful of safety protocols, so this huge private suite fit the bill because we never had to leave, except to take walks on the beach. We loved that there were three large bedrooms each with their own bathroom. We spent most of our time in the private pool and the added charge for heating it was totally worth it. The views are spectacular! There were 6 of us but the suite was so spacious, it never felt crowded. We will be back again!
