All services were excellent! Lulu was our chef and she served us with exceptional service and very fresh food! Norma kept us with fresh towels and provided excellent care of our rooms. We are looking forward to visiting again. Check out the breakfast spread in one of the pictures I shared below. Fresh fruit, green juice, coffee, French toast with eggs, sausage, and bacon. Absolutely amazing!

Vallarta Shores was a great place to stay, with comfortable and spacious rooms, a lovely plunge pool with a view, and a nice beach right in front. Also, no need to go to a spa; massage therapist came right to the room, and very reasonably priced.
However, the highlight of Vallarta Shores and our trip was Chef Edwin. Every meal was delicious, like eating at one of the best restaurants in town. One of our two children has eating issues and is very picky, and not your typical picky eater. Chef Edwin was able to satisfy our son every night with his meals and even got him to eat a few foods he would never typically eat because the food was so good. Chef Edwin took note of the particulars of every member of the family and accommodated all of our needs. He paired wonderful wines for our meals too. Please note this was not our first experience with a private chef and Chef Edwin by far exceeded our expectations and other experiences. We are already planning our next trip and bringing friends.

The only negative I could think of for Vallarta Shores is that there is a nearby club that plays music quite loudly on the weekends. Not anything to keep us from loving the stay, but if silence is your thing, that could be a negative. The noise was not heard while in the bedrooms, only while in the outdoor portion (dining room, plunge pool, living room).

I had a room on the ground floor and it was exceptional. Large king bed, lounge/dining, full kitchen with large fridge/freezer, luggage room and large bathroom with spa bath with overhead shower. Welcome bottles of water and cans of coke and beer in the fridge on arrival. Sleep at night to the sounds of the ocean. Pool and spa overlook the beach which also has a terrace with loungers, tables, chairs and umbrellas that again overlooks a roped off private area of the beach with umbrellas. Idyllic location in terms of access to the beach. Lovey couple of little beach bbq places to the left, BYO, eat bbq shrimp (prawns) fish with your toes almost in the ocean and super cheap. The beach club next door does play music and from reading other reviews, I expected it to be loud, and it wasn’t. Not sure if they have turned down the volume but I am a grumpy old man and I didn’t find it distracting at all. Short walk to the Malecon and all the other Zona Romantica action. I used both taxis and uber and the prices are around the same as each other.

Overall, a fantastic place, really friendly and helpful staff and a great location. Highly recommended.

The stay would’ve been five stars in a different Suite with different conditions sadly. There was construction occurring every day early in the morning until late in the evening that included buzz saws, loud music, and shouting. Not exactly ideal for relaxation by the pool.

Additionally, Suite C in particular is directly next to the Mantamar rooftop bar which boasts house and electronic music from 11am until 8pm every day. By the end of the trip my head was pounding. Again, not ideal for relaxation. Suites D, E, and F are presumably above the speaker height but they have one angled directly at our wall which was pretty awful.

Not sure if it was because of the construction but we also had limited hot water during our stay which made for quick showers only for necessity.

The only thing that saved our stay was our chef, Edwin, made us some of the best meals we’ve ever tasted. He worked with us daily to curate a menu based on our dietary needs. Our meals included fresh local fruit, fresh fish and all sorts of creative takes on local cuisine.

I would likely come back but would want them to alert us about the construction and would hope better relations can be built with the neighboring property.

Room Tip: Ask about proximity to Mantamar as well as possible construction. Ask for Edwin as your chef!!!

What an amazing stay! The sweeping views of PV, pool, vibe, rooms, and convenience of location were unmatched for celebrating a milestone birthday.

Irvin was the best chef one could ask for and I wouldn’t want to have anyone else! Would highly highly recommend for any groups visiting PV! 🫶🏻🌈

The only thing better than the view, location, suite design, and hearing the sound of the waves crashing on the shore in the morning was the service. Chef Irvin and the staff do not disappoint! Great service, food, and hospitality! They made our stay special. Definitely a gem in PVR.

In late June we were in Puerto Vallarta and were very concerned about finding a place to stay that would be safe from COVID 19.
As we approached Vallarta Shores it was evident that their staff had been fully trained in keeping guests safe from COVID 100% of the staff was wearing face masks and most had a clear shield over their mask. They greeted us warmly and offered hand sanitizer and us to step on a mat that was wet with a disinfectant. Everyone of the staff had been trained to try and speak loudly and clearly as with masks on it was hard to hear and they all respected social distancing. Everywhere I looked there was a person cleaning and wiping down everything and even with a mask on I could tell they were all smiling and happy from their eyes The room was lovely and they assured us that it had been disinfected 100% and went on to explain how things like the remote controls, light switches, surface tops, and door handles were actually disinfected more than once. I was absolutely amazed at the detail they had gone thru to ensure our stay was safe as possible. I have never seen staff so dedicated to making us feel at ease and safe and yet they did it all with a smile. When we asked about places that were open for food to go the response again was amazing They actually asked us what we liked and disliked and made many recommendations 1500 characters are not sufficient to explain how warm, caring, friendly, and SAFELY they treated us.

Sky Suite D was the perfect place for our small family getaway! The location is the best and the management had every detail taken care of – from our airport pickup to our chef arrangements to our in-room COVID tests to return to the United States. The best part by far was our personal Chef Carlo! He was AMAZING! We stayed for five days, and while it seemed impossible to improve, each day’s meal was somehow even better than the last! He can truly make any kind of cuisine – we had fantastic traditional Mexican dishes, Italian meals and desserts (the BEST!), American, French… His table presentations were top notch and always made us feel like each meal was something special. Our daughter had her birthday during our stay and he decorated the table with flowers and balloons, and even made a beautiful birthday cake along with all her favorite dishes. Carlo is a wonderful chef and a wonderful person – he always has a smile and his passion for cooking is clear in everything he does. We also appreciated how he could do so much without seeming to even be there – we just went about our vacation and it was almost as if he wasn’t there, except of course when every breakfast and dinner showed up on our table right on time! Then magically the kitchen was somehow sparkling clean by the time our meal was done. We will certainly return, and we hope we will be able to request Carlo again for next time!

One of the highlights of this place is private Chef Edwin Roque Cabrill Torres who is so AMAZING. He is trained in various cuisines and his meals and presentation were next level. Chef Edwin is also so very attentive, courteous and conscientious. We were so sad to let him go!
My family and I stayed in Sky Suite F for a couple of nights to relax and unwind. We wanted to be mindful of safety protocols, so this huge private suite fit the bill because we never had to leave, except to take walks on the beach. We loved that there were three large bedrooms each with their own bathroom. We spent most of our time in the private pool and the added charge for heating it was totally worth it. The views are spectacular! There were 6 of us but the suite was so spacious, it never felt crowded. We will be back again!

Third time staying at this beautiful property. We stayed in Sky Suite F. The views are spectacular, the front desk is relaxed but very attentive, and the property is right on the beach. Sky suites and penthouse include a private chef that provides two meals a day, your choice which meals and times. Our chef was Edwin, and he was amazing! We asked for traditional Mexican cuisine and he really delivered. Food was delicious, beautifully presented, and table service was very attentive. This was the third chef we experienced here, and Edwin will be our priority request from now on. Our housekeeper Norma was very sweet, thorough, attentive, and patiently cleaned around our schedule. This property does not include an in house restaurant and bar, but they’re not missed with all the nearby bars and restaurants in Zona Romantica. It was THE perfect stay with wonderful amenities. 5+++ stars!
