Well designed, well maintained small hotel. We pd $42/nt for 8 nights. Restaurant is very good, inexpensive. Opens late (8:30 am) and closes early (8:00 pm). I asked for a beer with dinner. They don't have it, but you can buy it in the store at the hotel and drink it in the rest. I asked for red wine, which...

Casa Iguana is a nice little hotel and is great for a family. Their prices are reasonable, the rooms are simple but clean, and they have a nice courtyard with a pool to play in. It is walking distance to the zoo (a must do), the beach, and several resturaunts. There is bus service to PVR for 8 pesos per...

My travel companion and I spent a month at this hotel in August of 2014. I loved the setting. It is right smack in the middle of the jungle. We were on the top floor and loved the view looking out at the beautiful vegetation, and the well kept grounds below were a pleasant sight as well. Watching the rain...

The hotel is nice, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hot tub was excellent and the pool was a bit cold but ok. The suite was big, two bedrooms plenty of space, small kitchen, and living room. The hotel is a bit out dated. The blinds on the windows are dirty and they look like they...

I love the property: mature trees and vegetation, snuggled up against the rain forest jungle. Not slick, not chi-chi, just nice white adobe buildings, with a nice tiled small pool and hot tub. Comfortable bed. Useable kitchen. Yes -- this is the tropics with the humidity, the jungle smells. When we were there, the locals of Mizmaloya were running a...

I truly wish I could rate this accommodation higher, however some things simply aren't negotiable; safety is one of them. But I'll get to that shortly. Let's begin on a positive note. Casa Iguana is situated in a lovely location: being in Mismaloya, it is not only near Puerto Vallarta, but Boca de Tomatlan, el Tuito, and Yelapa. It's a...

The hotel is just across the road from Mismaloya beach, literally a 5 minute walk. The pool and jacuzzi are lovely, as with many Mexican hotels, not only is the jacuzzi not kept hot, it takes quite a while to get it there. Advise the staff well in advance if it's not hot. The service was wonderful and friendly, there...

My husband I stayed at Casa Iguana Dec. 27 to Jan. 6, 2015. We decided to return after a wonderful stay in 2013. We love the location and the staff. Our housekeeper, Kathy, was wonderful, as was Chef Donato, who I understand is no longer there. When we arrived around 11 p.m., there was a quinceaneras party in progress behind...

Yes, the pool is clean and looked after, the grounds are looked after well, and the staff is kind and friendly. Our suite was clean, except for some corners and the blinds were very dusty. One day we were without clean towels and it took a few days to get a bath mat. There are no t-towels for drying dishes...
