As with other restaurants in PV, the exterior of the restaurant didn't look like much, but once we entered into the courtyard, it was magical! The grounds ad statuary were beautiful and so romantic. You can understand why Richard Burton And Elizabeth Taylor rendezvoused there....More
Always one of our favorite stops in Puerto Vallarta. Beautiful setting, great food and wonderful service. Mariachis are the best in PV but do know that for 30 min it is effectively a show. Hard to describe the facility as it is one of a...More
We have been traveling to Puerto Vallarta to for almost 30 years, this restaurant is one of the finest the city has to offer! When you pull up you might be a little worried, because it's just a door on the side of the road,...More
We've been going off and on to Hacienda San Angel for 11 years now. Some things have changed (for example, there was no restaurant back when we first started going here), but some things remain the same.

Yes, brunch is seasonal. But, normally they will accommodate those staying at the hotel by serving meals where they want them. So, I would request, say breakfast, to be served there instead of your room. Of course, you will be lacking the aviance of the setting for the brunch, or the champagne you are sipping as the violinist enchants you, but the view is enough. Same, if you want lunch outside or in one of the dining areas off the courtyard. One of the most magical things about Hacienda is how much the staff cares about their visitors and do so much to please them.

Depending on how many days you are staying at San Angel, I would just rent the car for your trip north to Sayulita. You are in the center of town. If your are just exploring, hire a driver and a van. Everything is negotiable. For 30+ years we use a cab. In our youth we wold rent a car, then it was VW Things.
