Costa Sur Resort & Spa is a beautiful 202 unit all suite resort just five minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta. It features ocean front views on each suite as well as fully equipped kitchenettes and balconies. Each room has been updated with king size beds, 42" flat screen TVs and ipod docking stations. Our pride is our private beach with ocean lagoon making Costa Sur the only hotel where guests can snorkel onsite. Costa Sur has two pools, two bars and a wonderful ocean view restaurant, "La Cascada." Make sure to check our "All inclusive add-on." My best friend and I came here for vacation, celebration, and to be near zona romantica for PV gay pride. The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to take care of you and make sure your stay is perfect. Some of the folks who work here are people I will never forget are Raul, Reynaldo, Gabriella, Miguel, Fernando, Ernesto, and Abel. We learned .ost of the staff have been here for 8+ years and love it. Long time patrons have relationships with them because they remember their guests. We met several people who have been coming here for more than a decade. I will be coming back here at least once a year. It is the perfect short distance from Zona and it is easy to catch cabs (also across from a bus stop if thats your jam). The tidal pool out front is basically a coral reef with so many incredible species. You have to snorkel there. Also, paddleboard and kayak there during your stay. Abel will hook you up. The sunset is visible from all rooms and it is beat in the world. The pools are very clean and the staff by the pools are great. The atm in the lobby disperses pesos and is as good as any bank in town with no need to exchange bills. The store in the lobby has most of your traveler needs. The restaurant and bar by the pool are great and reasonably priced. For international travelers, the hotel can coordinate the covid test be offered to you in your room with the results emailed to you. I will likely be booking to come here in 6 months!

Very nice hotel in dated old town. We had no air conditioning and we were provided with a fan. The description should say ocean view and not beach front as there really is no beach! All rocks and pebbles no sand and when high tide comes they close off access to even that. Water actually hits the building. It's a $15.00 cab fare into the romantic zone and can be very costly. No restaurants nearby or delivery availability. So you are basically stuck in the hotel with a pool and only the food options they provide. They were just opening up again after covid. They were out of several food options. We booked for 2 weeks and left without any refund for another hotel after the second day.

We loved this location when we first came in February so much that we returned for another 10 days in early May. The food was excellent, the staff was great from the chambermaid cleaning our room, to the engineer repairing our light switch, to the doorman waving us a taxi cab each day. There are several staff members who made our stay incredibly special. Alexander at the front desk, Migel, Ernesto, Oswalbo, and Alexander our waiters in the restaurant and around the pool. Juan our bartender was also very attentive to our beverage likes and requests. But of all our servers, Raul the head waiter, with superb bilingual skills really made sure we were well attended to throughout our stay and took exceptional care of our every need at dinner and while sunning around the pools. This place is a diamond in the rough and we will be back again sometime soon.

This was a first trip to Mexico and I chose Puerto Vallarta. I came across Costa Sur through Interval International as I had a travel certificate to redeem. First, the staff are so welcoming and truly make you feel like family. The welcome atmosphere started when I pulled up and Adrian grabbed my bag from our vehicle. Karla, a concierge, greeted me upon entry. She was great in setting up several tours for me over my stay. She is also upon check in set up my COVID test for my return to the US. Fernando at the front desk checked me in and he was very friendly. Besides check in and check out my interaction with front desk was minimal. However, the intent of my stay was to chill. I had a 7 night 8 day stay so I alternated time at the resort with my 3 scheduled tours. When I stayed at the resort staff was always attentive from housekeeping to waitstaff. I had a studio room and it was spacious. While it was only me this trip certainly it was large enough to very comfortably accommodate 2 and even a family of 4. It was a small kitchenette with cookware, dinnerware and silverware. I want to give big shout out to Neto, Miguel, Rafe and Osbaldo. There was other wait staff but these are the fellows that were my go to. I loved they remembered my name and would shout out a greeting when they saw me. there was a diverse group of guests from families, couples to retirees. Note that if you are looking for a modern party resort this is not it. The rooms are clean with traditional tiling and art work. The balconies on floors 2 on up don't have chairs outside but you can bring one from inside out as there is enough room to place it. The lagoon was nice but remember your aqua socks. The beach in the lagoon is not smooth sand. I would and will stay here again.

We spent 4 amazing days in this hotel. They changed our room because it had a water leak and upgraded us for a much better en suite room. We were so happy! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent room cleaning service. 10 mins by car to the center. Swimming pool clean and well maintained, room price reasonable, good quality service. We highly recommend it!
