We LOVED our stay at Hacienda Alemana! Everyone who works there is delightful, weeks later our 4-year-old daughter is still talking about how much she loves Tatiana.
We had the upstairs room which had 2 matrimonial-sized bed, a little kitchen, dining area, and private patio overlooking the pool. It was perfect for us. Our toilet did have a leaking issue which was unable to be fixed until we left but the cleaning crew put down towels (and changed them every day) so it wasnt a major issue, the only reaosn I mention it is to point out how attentive they are here.
Our stay included breakfast each morning, which ranged from baked eggs to molletes and included yogurt and fresh fruit as well as coffee. The kitchen staff even noted that our daughter preferred her food completely plain and made her simple versions of each breakfast.
The pool was lovely and often we were the only ones there, providing a nice respite from the heat after a day out exploring. Given the hotel's central location it was easy to walk everywhere so we did quite a bit of that and having the pool right there for a quick dip was ideal.
I would not hesitate to recommend Hacienda Alemana to anyone and we hope to return soon!

If you're looking for a home away from home, you need to stay at Hacienda Alemana where you'll be pampered by family members Mike, Irma, Tatiana, and Oliver and their immediate staff, bartenders Joaquin and Irma and servers Carlos and Jose.
Entering this Boutique Hotel, one enters the beer garden/restaurant and at the end of this area is a small door that leads to a lush area where the pool and guest accommodations are located. I had reserved a studio, Lirio, which was tucked in a quiet corner on the first floor with a dining room, kitchen and a big screen TV that divided the living room and bedroom. Lirio was quite nice and comfortable just steps away from the saline pool.
A delightful complimentary poolside breakfast is served daily 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. During the week, there are lunch specials and on a Tuesday they were serving German style ham hocks so I invited friends to Hacienda Alemana for lunch and we all thoroughly enjoyed the ham hocks. Now the only thing that was missing was some good old Southern cornbread to sop that gravy.
I would like to thank everyone at Hacienda Alemana for very delightful and memorable stay and I will be back for a longer visit. I must also add that Covid-19 testing was provided by Hacienda Alemana in order to get a negative test needed to return to the United States.

I'm way late in writing this review. Last January My husband and I were in PV for two weeks. At the end of week one he had a heart attack and triple bypass surgery. You can imagine my panic in cancelling things and making new changes without really knowing timing for anything. I had my hotel room for 6 days but knew that I would be staying longer but I didn't know how much longer. I found the Hacienda Alemana which was perfect. Quiet and around the corner from the hospital. I went a day early to check it out and found that the room was upstairs and after the surgery my husband wasn't going to be able to make it up those stairs. Luckily for us there was a large one bedroom unit on the ground floor available which we took. After I moved in everyone was so kind and helpful. I was given a key to the back gate which put me right across the street from the hospital. That was very handy when he came home. He could jsut cross the street which was also good for followup visits. The breakfasts every morning were a delight. We hosted some friends at the restaurant for a goodbye dinner and it was fantastic. We will certainly stay here in the future. They helped make a catastrophe a much better experience

I just spent ten nights at the wonderful Hacienda Alemana Boutique Hotel in Puerto Vallarta. Book this hotel. It is fabulous. The location, food, guest rooms and general hotel environment (restaurant, pool, tranquil spaces, cleanliness) is simply perfect. THEN you meet the family that owns and operates it. Tatiana, Mike and Irma were delightful. Irma's morning breakfasts were creative, healthy and delicious. Mike's the ultimate host and so much fun to spend time talking with. Tatiana not only handles every single detail, but she is so knowledgeable, friendly and is fun to talk with too!! She conducts amazing culinary and cultural tours in the region as well. Their staff is also great and should be noted as well- Juan, Jose, Paco and Anna took great care of me and always greet you with a friendly smile. I really cannot put into words how wonderful this property is. It actually feels like home when you are there. If you are considering Hacienda Alemana for your next trip to PV- you are lucky. One of our favorite places to eat in PV. The restaurant has been in business for many years. A small hotel is also part of the restaurant. German beers to choose from along with a full cocktail menu. I always like the schnitzel with pomp frites and ask for a side of brown gray to smother the fries. My wife loves the red cabbage and spaetzle with her dish selection. The apple strudel with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is the perfect way to finish the meal. The portion for the schnitzel is two large pieces so I always take one with me for for lunch the next day. Attentive staff and the owner always welcome you!

We had the most enjoyable stay at Hacienda Alemana! We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and could not have picked a better place to celebrate. Once you step off the busy street into their secluded restaurant and then make your way through (almost) a hidden door to go to your quarters, well, it’s just magical. It’s very quite and peaceful, the room is amazing, the pool so cool inviting and very relaxing after a busy day out and about. Mike, Irma, Tatiana and all the staff see to your every need. And the restaurant, outstanding food! Make a reservation now, enjoy the food and fun and take a trip into the mountains with Tatiana as a very rewarding excursion. You won’t regret a moment of it!

This was our first visit to Puerto Vallarta and we were so fortunate that Hacienda Alemana was recommended by friends. We had a lovely second floor room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The breakfasts were 5 star and different every day. The location is a quiet haven in the midst of lots of activity. But the best thing was the way were treated - like family. Tatiana and her mother are amazing. We loved every minute of our stay.

This hotel is a hidden GEM to stay at while in PV. You are in a secluded hideaway right in the middle of all the action. Walk to everything, 10min to the beach. You are treated like FAMILY, and have help for all your needs. Tatiana and her mother and father will make your stay over the top special! Above and beyond my expectations:)
Book your stay early, there are only 10 rooms and lots of regulars that stay often.

Not sure if your room has a kitchenette but a fantastic breakfast is included with all rooms. The German restaurant attached is run by the same owners and is fantastic. In room mini bar has very reasonable drinks...beer, soda, water.

All rooms are air conditioned and come with balconies as well (most do, two by the pool on ground level do not have a balcony but others on ground level - about two others) have a space for privacy.
