Casa Karma has such a special place in my heart, let alone the powerful energy of Puerto Vallarta and being right off the ocean. I recently hosted a retreat at Casa Karma, 4nights, 5 days with 8 guest and from pre-retreat planning, communicating with the owner, and manager Erika was phenomenal. I was able to meet with Erika and Paulina days ahead to go over our weekend Itineary, and the menu that the private Chef juavier prepared.

The energy of the staff, the hospitality, the willing to make sure that everything was perfect for us was spot on! Our guest arrived with awe! Many even stated during daily cleaning of the rooms their dirty laundry was cleaned without havign to ask, and folded. (they loved that) From the begining guest were greeted with drinks, amazed by their private suites, and the ambiance of the villa!

Beyond Casa Karma and its amazing space, it is the people that keep it running and giving it life within the walls. Our guest didnt have to worry for nothing, stress for anuything, and was so alert to whatever needs I or my guest needed. (Which wasnt many) Thank you to the staff for being apart of my guest expierence. For many it was their first time experiencing "leisure" "luxury" and it made my job so easy that everything flowed.

Thank you Joshua, Paulina, Erika, Roberto, Javier, and Cleaning staff! Forever grateful for your work!

My husband and I spent a week at Casa Karma with 14 friends and also hosted our wedding for about 80 guests here during our stay. We cannot recommend Casa Karma enough, the house and the property are beautiful, the pictures online don't do it justice. From the time we arrived, every detail was taken care of and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a good vacation and fantastic wedding venue.

Unlike many places within PV, Casa Karma is somewhat insulated by the ocean and a residential neighborhood, so you hear calming waves instead of construction. We saw whales from the pool/bar area several times and the neighborhood parrot visited, too!

Every room technically has an ocean view and all but Bugambilia have balconies.
The Chef and all of his food was amazing, we gave him creative liberty with the menus and he did not disappoint. We left early one morning for an excursion trip and the chef made us to-go fruit cups and burritos, we were definitely spoiled.

Servers: The waitstaff (Josh and Robi) were attentive, they made sure we had drinks while we were in the pool or hanging around the outdoor area of the house and put a lot of creativity and thought into cocktail recipes and used fresh ingredients.

We had excellent responsiveness from both Erika leading up to our arrival and Paulina once we arrived, using WhatsApp primarily. To make their lives easier, we recommend organizing your grocery list and agenda as well as guest arrivals and departures so that they can plan around you. This worked very well for our group and when plans on our end changed, Paulina was quick to be flexible and roll with it, never missing a beat.

Paulina went above and beyond in getting us (and my family who wasn't staying at the house) last minute taxis, she organized a spa/massage day at the house for our guests, and she had a COVID testing lab come to the house to make our return home easier.

We won't hesitate to recommend this place to our friends and family hoping to get married or rent a large vacation home in PV. We already can't wait to return.

We hosted a beautiful small group for a spring equinox healing and dinner.
The chef did an exceptional masterpiece dinner 10/10, the staff offered up perfection in their service. I am so grateful. You made the evening magical for everyone. Thankyou. Bonnie Muenz

We had our wedding in Puerto Vallarta at Casa Karma just over a month ago, and it is as beautiful and picturesque in person as it is in photos. While we thoroughly enjoyed the views and amenities that the resort had to offer, the experience was not without its letdowns.

During our stay, the staff was wonderful, with the notable exception of the House Coordinator (Paulina) and the House Manager (Erika Larios). While they were designated as the primary points of contact, they were hardly present. Not only was Erika not particularly welcoming to us from the start, but we also came to learn later that she spoke poorly of the guests within our group. Meanwhile, Paulina often declined requests and was short while interacting with guests. They did not execute to the agenda described in the welcome packet, and instead they appeared to have created their own.

It is also worth mentioning that while the house administrators acted as agents for the purchase of all household goods, they also neglected to provide receipts for their purchases. Most notably, the invoices for the groceries/alcohol felt quite exorbitant upon review. Our advice to any new guests would be to keep your contact with Paulina and Erika to a minimum, and to ask for receipts for all invoiced expenses.

Nonetheless, Casa Karma is a beautiful venue, and the rest of the staff are very friendly and attentive. All things considered, at the end of our stay, we would still say it is worth visiting, and is definitely worthy of your consideration.

Casa Karma is a gorgeous property that sits at the edge of the ocean. It's beautifully situated and decorated. I hosted my 50th birthday here. There is space to do everything you could possible want to do: movie nights, yoga in the garden, parties, dinners. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The only thing that is better than the property is the staff. Paulina, in particular, goes out of her way to make sure that your every need is taken care of. My computer crashed while there and she took it to the apple store for me.

My wife and I had an excellent experience staying at Casa Karma. The casa is well furnished, in excellent condition and has great amenities. The staff was also the best. Paulina greeted us and gave us an orientation tour. Pillo was our bartender and server and he not have been more accommodating. The chefs prepared memorable meals that looked and tasted delicious. I highly recommend a stay at Casa Karma.

We recently stayed at the Casa Karma and our experience was decidedly mixed. Given the price we were paying and the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor, we were expecting an exceptional experience. Casa Karma provided quite an ordinary experience.

First the good things:
- The location is beautiful. Our room, the pool and most of the restaurant look out over the ocean. It was peaceful and we saw whales and dolphins on a regular basis.
- The hotel is very small (only 8 rooms) so we often had the small pool area to ourselves, which was very relaxing.
- For the most part, the staff were warm and friendly.
- It is a very quick taxi ride into Puerto Vallarta.

The problems:
- The kitchen struggled to provide basic service. When we arrived, we were told that you had to sign up for dinner, including picking your menu items. But no one could locate the menu! When it was finally found, we signed up as required. When we came down for dinner, the waiter was clearly surprised to see us. It took hours for us to get our dinner and it really wasn't worth waiting for (it was the least memorable of all the meals we had in Puerto Vallarta). The waiter apologized, saying that he wasn't actually a waiter, but the marketing manager. Apparently, they are going through a major transition, and let many of their staff go, right before high season. It did seem that most of the staff were new and struggling to meet demand.
- These issues with the restaurant continued throughout our stay. A continental breakfast is included but you can also order from the menu. My husband tried to do that one morning. Again, the comical routine of trying to locate the one menu. Then the waiter took so long to come back to take his order, that he gave up and had the continental breakfast. We saw other guests go through that same routine. A similar thing happened at lunch. We ordered nachos with chicken. It took forever, and they forgot the chicken (although they tried to charge us for it). Again, an apology. Apparently, the kitchen was overwhelmed preparing for an event that night. There were a lot of excuses for sub-par service at this place. Another couple staying there gave us the good advice not to eat there but to go to the hotel next door. They were right -- we had several good lunches and dinners at the Hotel Lindomar, with prompt service.
- You don't feel pampered at Casa Karma. For example, no one tells you about where the continental breakfast is and that you have to help yourself to it. We sat at a table for a while before a staff member finally told us that. A few days later we had to tell another couple about the process. (They were wandering around looking lost and approached us to ask about how they could get breakfast.). It's not a big thing, but at a high-end boutique hotel, you expect to be well looked after. At Casa Karma, the feeling is much more laissez-faire -- figure out how the breakfast system works on your own, get your own breakfast, try to locate the one menu if you want anything more.

This review may seem picky, as if we are hard to please. That's not the case, and I usually give good reviews on Trip Advisor. The issue here was that we willingly chose a very expensive place to stay, because it looked beautiful and had such wonderful reviews. Maybe we caught them at a bad time, but Casa Karma provided a very ordinary experience for a lot of money.

We recently stayed for 2 nights and it was a disaster. The staff could not find the key to our room and when they did finally produce a key, they could not find the key to our in room safe. Once we checked in, we discovered that the air conditioning did not work! Although we alerted the staff they did absolutely nothing to assist us. On our last night, the toilet stopped working and once again, after alerting staff, they did absolutely nothing to assist us. My wife and I have been traveling all over the world for the last 20 years and this was the worst experience we have ever had at a hotel of this "quality".

Spent 7 wonderful days at Casa Karma. Fantastic place to stay for couples. It's an adult only hotel which is nice not hearing screaming kids in the pool all day. Entire staff from Luis, Manny, Job to the chiefs Fanny and Abraham were fantastic! The food menu is different everyday. Highly recommend the red snapper plate. Rooms were clean and having a view of the beach from the balcony was stunning. Although it's not all inclusive the pricing was extremely reasonable. 10 minute taxi drive to El Malecon and other attractions. Looking forward to going back one day.

We had an ocean view! It was absolutely beautiful. Staff was courteous and very much catered to our needs. Food was EXCELLENT and we opted to eat in rather than out. There are about 8 staff members around at all times, and only 8 rooms of guests. Due to this, we received a very personalized experience. The breakfast to order was excellent and I recommend the omelette. Dinner selections were also very good! Get the tuna steak! Our food bill in USD was $121 and included 3 breakfasts and 2 multiple-course dinners. Can't beat that! Cab fares into town were very affordable, also, so no need to rent a car unless you are planning a longer journey. The helpful staff connected us with a personal driver for a day. The rate was $17/hour and the driver was EXCELLENT! He took us to a small beach with soft sand and a restaurant near the shore. It was our best day of our 3 day stay. Bill and the rest of the staff did not tire of our many curious questions. I hope to join them again for another stay in the near future.
