So it isn't the fanciest hotel around but it is an unbeatable value. Very close to the action and at a price that makes my wallet sing. 200 MXP per night left me with plenty to spend on other more important things.

I stayed here once and forgot an item at the hotel. It was something small, even now I can't quite remember what it was. However, I returned a year later and immediately after walking in the door Olivia produced this item for me. They stored it for a whole year awaiting my return! Thats what really makes Casa Elvira special,...

Casa Elvira is a true find for the budget traveler. The room I stayed in offered enough space, a good bed, clean linen, a TV and ceiling fan, shower and even a little corner outside with a table and chairs. The hosts are very kind. The hotel has a restaurant which faces the beach. Very happy I found Casa Elvira...

Owners are a Cubano and Mexicana. He escaped from Cuba at 23, and I was escaping a crazy living situation in Zihua that was turning a bit... loco. This place is exactly what I needed. A great value, good people, and a homey atmosphere - no craziness after 10 (definitely not a party place.) Unfortunately there's no longer any cooking;...

We ate at Casa Elvira down near the Zihuatenejo marina stroll. Milton enticed us in with a free round of drinks and a promise of good food. He delivered on both. I finally found the best coconut shrimp for a very reasonable price. There were four of us and we all enjoyed our meal. Sometimes it pays to try new...

This review is about the Casa Elvira at Paseo del Pescador No. 32 Centro C.P. 40890 Zihuatanejo Mexico. Be careful, there are 3 Casa Elvira's in Zwhat. This restaurant has been around since 1956. This was by far our best meal during our trip. JD called us out on the street and told us about the place and if we...

The quality of this place is nothing spectacular buts its not bad by any means. When I stayed here in January 2013 I payed 150 pesos for a double room, thats crazy cheap for how nice this place is. Theirs a tradition open courtyard with hanging plants and spiral stairs up the second floor. Casa Elvira is a great place...

I have stayed in this hotel several times, and I say it´s one of the most nice ones in zihuatanejo. It is simple but the family who runs it are realy, realy REALY nice. It´s simply perfect for the ones who dosen´t need the luxury stuff.

We spotted Casa Elvira from the balcony of another hotel room we were viewing and decided to take a better look. We were shown to a cosy room with en-suite bathroom and decided we would stay the night! We ended up staying 5 days at Casa Elvira and enjoyed every moment of it. The room was cleaned daily and new...
