Garden focused hotel near a supermarket and walking distance from some good restaurants. Simple breakfast on the weekdays and buffet breakfast on the weekends. Would definitely stay here again. Gym is really lacking. Rooms are fine however the outlet is inconvenient to access to plug in your charger.

I have stayed at Hosteria Las Quintas several times over the years, sometimes for just a few nights and most recently for two weeks during 2022. The pros: the grounds are beautiful, spacious, well-maintained and peaceful. I wish I had reserved a few afternoons just to enjoy the gardens. The landscaping is a work of art. The dining area is in a lovely garden setting and a perfect place for a leisurely meal. The room was comfortable, clean and up to date. Everything worked. I saw no insects. The neighborhood is nice with shops and restaurants within walking distance. There are beautiful sitting areas scattered throughout the property...all utilizing gorgeous fabrics, materials and artwork. There's an excellent grocery store right across the street and a bank ATM about a block away. The cons: There are lots of corporate events and parties here, which can be noisy, However, when I was in my room I couldn't hear the event noise. The guests in the room above mine urinated off the balcony on Saturday night. The restaurant has delicious food and was always open when I wanted to eat or drink. During my most recent visit, I found it hard to eat in the restaurant unless I wanted to eat a large meal...they don't offer small, a la carte items. My only real complaint about Las Quintas is the front desk staff. I found them unfriendly and not very helpful. There were certain charges on my bill that I didn't understand and the front desk seemed annoyed when I asked for an explanation. Everyone else (the cleaning staff, the bell-hops, the restaurant staff, etc.) was wonderful. Overall, Las Quintas is my favorite hotel in Cuernavaca, and I'll probably return. Compared to other hotels in Mexico where the hosts are tremendously friendly and accommodating and constantly going the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable, Las Quintas is kind of a cold place. As long as you go into it not expecting the typical Mexican hospitality, you won't be disappointed.

The rooms have zero noise isolation you can hear everything going on outside and that becomes a real problem for sleeping, ground floor rooms are directly in front to the buffet which makes opening the curtain of your room an uncomfortable experience. Each day I had to go to the reception because the key did not work. Generally a very bad experience for quite pricey rooms

The infrastructure of the hotel is acceptable, but the quality of the service is really bad! We couldn’t believe the way they answered when we complained about the lack of lamps on the night tables!! “There’re no lamps in any room in the hotel, if you don’t like it, file your complain.” After you get this answer, finding a spider in the bathroom is a big issue!! Hair dryer? You have to call and ask for one and they make you sign for it!! This is not the quality of service you expect for the room rate!!

Was overcharged. They also inflated the cost beyond when I had agreed to on the travel website. Will never go there again. Place was dirty, overpriced, and never really got straight answers from the staff who only wanted tips. Please be careful by all means and don’t trust anybody

20 years ago I was a "poor" language student learning Spanish in Cuernavaca. We always marveled at the hotels with beautiful gardens in Cuernavaca but it was way out of reach for us. I have returned to Cuernavaca (now as a fluent Spanish speaker!) a couple of time since but this time, last minute, decided to splurge and spend a night at Las Quintas. I did not regret it. The room was big and clean and had everything we needed. The gardens are stunning. Valet parking is included. The breakfast is extra but well worth the extra charge. There is also a great tacos place nearby if you decide to eat out. Location: it is not in the center, but we had a car so it did not matter. If you really want to enjoy the best of Cuernavaca, stay in a hotel with the famous beautiful gardens, and you cannot go wrong with this choice.

The setting is beautiful, but the staff were not helpful. We attended a wedding and were not given our hospitality packets which contained information that was needed about meeting places. We had to ask at least 3 times for them and were told me had already gotten them. There is no elevator, and luckily upon check in heard someone else ask for the new rooms.....we would not have known there were new or old rooms. These new rooms are small, and the bathroom is tiny.....cupboard space minute! view from the balcony great, looking onto a courtyard with bougainvilleas . The dinner for the rehearsal was excellent - all Mexican food, and the outdoor space beautiful. The breakfasts were good , sitting in the outdoor space was very pleasant. The pool I think was heated and lots of kids enjoying the swimming. The ubers always seemed nearby, and there was a small cafe nearby to buy cokes, chips etc. Our friends were able to book hair appointments at the spa across the road - don't know if it is part of the hotel or they have the use of the place.
