My wife and I stayed three nights at La Abadia Tradicional and were lucky we had a room in the back of the building (near the parking lot). The walls were like paper...we heard everything and everyone. We were so lucky that we were in the back because I'm sure the front of the building was a nightmare. Reception was... More

This hotel is not in a great location, about 30 minutes walking from downtown, it is very expensive for their quality and amenities and the staff is very rude. The standard rooms are very old, dirty and noise comes in from everywhere. The bathrooms are disgusting and need urgent maintenance. The beds are so hard it feels like if you... More

Dear guest: We are so sorry you feel that way, we can assure you that all of us at the hotel strive to make our guests stays as best as possible. In fact most constructions in Guanajuato are very old as is the city itself, which by the way is the main attraction, but maintenance and cleaning to the rooms... More

This is possibly the worst hotel in Guanajuato. It is very basic, very dated and the WiFi doesn't work but the worst is that the walls are so thin and the noise so loud you are better off sleeping on the pavement. Furthermore, the service is appalling. The staff is incredibly rude and they will overcharge you at any opportunity... More

It's true that the place it's a bit dark but I can say that I really liked the hotel. It was very good located, walking distance to the central area, nice breakfast and helpful staff, I had a wedding to go to and they helped my ironing my dress, even though they didn't have that service.

Rooms are spacious. Breakfast is good and included in the price. Very far from the city center. Rooms are cold and dark. Bed is hard. Shower is intermittent between too cold and too hot. Towels are hard and small. Internet only at the Lobby.

The food was great, i loved the "enchiladas mineras" just spicy enough to make them perfect. Good service, and good location, probably we´ll get back next year for another romantic and colonial experience.

Our room was on the ground floor with the only window giving onto the lobby so we had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. I went to Guanajuato with my husband and his parents. We wanted a comfy, clean room to come back to after sightseeing during the day.
